## What is FlashCards?

FlashCards: Terms grows your vocabulary — one word at a time.

Every day, discover a word with its definition, examples in context, synonyms, antonyms and etymology. In just a few minutes, you learn a word you will actually use.

LEARN THE LANGUAGE YOU WANT
• French, English, Spanish, German, Italian
• Follow several languages at once, each with its own progress
• The interface is available in 7 languages: learn German with a French interface

A COMPLETE CARD FOR EVERY WORD
• A clear definition, translated into your interface language
• Example sentences in the word's own language, with their translation
• Synonyms, antonyms, pronunciation and etymology

REALLY TEST YOURSELF
• Definition → word quizzes: a definition appears, find the right word among four
• A second chance after a mistake, to make the word stick
• A word only counts as "mastered" once you've found it unaided

KEEP THE HABIT
• Daily streak, XP and levels
• Badges to unlock
• Weekly leaderboard, across all languages
• Real-time duels against another player, in the same language

AT YOUR OWN PACE
• Daily reminders, at the time you usually open the app
• Pick your topics and how often you want to be nudged
• Words already downloaded stay readable offline

WHO IS IT FOR?
Students, readers, word lovers, or anyone who wants to write and speak more precisely — in their own language as much as in the one they're learning.

Download FlashCards: Terms and turn a few minutes a day into vocabulary that lasts.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-30

Keeping what you have learned.

• Review: words you already mastered come back at widening intervals — 1, 3, 7, 21 then 60 days — and jump the queue the moment you miss one
• The Quiz tab shows at a glance what is due, what is learned and what is mastered
• Reviewing is free: no key, no XP — it is upkeep, not a challenge
• Duel rooms: share the code without closing the room, and get your seat back after a network drop

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-29

A tutor that answers, word by word.

• AI tutor (Premium): ask anything about a word and get answers grounded in its card — meaning, nuance, usage
• After a wrong quiz answer, "Why this answer?" explains what you missed
• Your conversations are kept, word by word
• Sign in with Google, now available
• Etymologies translated into every language the app speaks

### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-19

Duels are now played with several people — and with friends.

• Friends: find other players by name, send and accept requests, follow their progress
• Asynchronous duels: challenge a friend and each play at your own pace — the result is settled once you have both played
• Private room: share a code, up to 8 players in the same match
• Sign in with Apple or Google, in one tap
• A new "More" tab: profile, friends and settings gathered in one place
• Duels and quizzes restaged: intro, round-by-round verdicts and closing credits
• Subscription: a clear place to see, manage and restore yours
• The feed now remembers your category and level filters between sessions

Happy learning!
