## What is Flashlight?

Turn your iPhone’s rear LED into a flashlight with a clean charcoal screen and a vivid mint symbol.

• Tap the symbol to turn the light on or off.
• Swipe up or down, or use the settings slider, to adjust brightness.
• Touch and slide across the bottom dots to change the blink rate as you move. The dots fill from the left.
• Choose steady light or blinking from 1–25 Hz.
• Choose whether to show the status bar and prevent auto-lock while the light is on.
• Smooth transitions and VoiceOver labels.

Requires an iPhone with a rear LED flash and iOS 17 or later. The LED stops when the app becomes inactive. Actual brightness and blink timing depend on the device and its temperature. Extended use can consume battery and generate heat. Avoid blinking light if you are sensitive to flashing lights.

This edition includes banner advertising through Google AdMob. No account is required.

## Key features

- Fastest turning on speed
- Cool glossy interface
- Light dimming
- Light blinking
- Adjustable frequency
- Show/hide status bar
- Activate/deactivate auto-lock

### 3/5 — Must be malicious

*2012-03-04*

to ruin a great design with ads.

### 2/5 — Not bad sigh...

*2011-12-16*

Yes I give this a low rating... It is not bad, it is acceptable... It is the cleanest looking out of what I have seen so far...
*yawn*

But really now?! How much drugs devs have to consume, to ask money for a program to turn on the LED?

Or should I rather ask how much mushrooms consumer should consume to even think of giving money for such a thing...

I give props to your designer though... Very neat icon...

### 5/5 — Just what I was looking for

*2011-09-20*

You do know NO ONE will ever pay $4 just to remove ads.

### 5/5 — perfect app

*2011-06-04*

awesome!! XD

### 3/5 — Questionable marketing tactics...

*2011-05-29*

Pretty sure they expect to make more money with ads than the one time payment for the pro version. The $3.99 price is a deterrent because they don't want people to buy it, but they have it for those who would have complained about the ads. It's a shame because it's probably the best flashlight available right now, and I absolutely can't stand ads but $3.99 is ridiculous.

### 5/5 — Good app

*2011-03-10*

I gotta say petty cool app. If u r wondering what those green dots on the bottom are, those control the speed of the led light blinks. Works kinda like a strobe light.

### 5/5 — Great free flashlight.

*2011-01-22*

Loads fast and perfectly minimal. Very clean, best one out there.

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2010-12-29*

I always wanted this feature & now it is here!!

### 5/5 — Good!

*2010-11-14*

Very good!!

### 3/5 — Really?!

*2010-11-01*

You think your glossy retina display, optimized black screen, is worth 3.99. Just to turn my phones L.E.D. on. I commend you for the size of balls you have. The app does what it says but I subtracted 2 stars for the attempt at extorion.
