## What is Flashwise?

Photograph any vocabulary list and Flashwise turns it into flashcards in seconds, right on your iPhone. No typing, no account, no internet needed.

Then study with spaced repetition that brings each card back exactly when you're about to forget it.

SNAP A PHOTO, GET FLASHCARDS (Pro)
• Point your camera at a textbook page or worksheet
• Crop to just the word list for the cleanest result
• Two-column lists and "casa – house" lines both work
• Text recognition runs on your device — the photo is never uploaded

BUILT FOR LANGUAGE LEARNING
• Accent keys above the keyboard: á é í ó ú ä ö ü ñ ç ß and more
• Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Latin and more
• Just as good for exam prep, definitions and formulas

STUDY THAT STICKS
• Swipe-to-review cards with a satisfying flip
• Spaced repetition (Pro): rate each card Again, Hard, Good or Easy and Flashwise schedules the next review
• See which decks are due today at a glance (Pro)

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Your decks live only on your device and work fully offline
• No account, no ads, no tracking
• Made in Germany by HBJ-Solutions

FREE
• 2 decks with up to 20 cards each
• Unlimited studying and accent keys

FLASHWISE PRO
• Unlimited decks and cards
• Spaced repetition scheduling
• Photo scanning and CSV import
• Monthly or yearly — cancel any time

FOR SCHOOLS
Whole classes can use Flashwise together. With a school licence, pupils scan a QR code or type a short class code and Pro unlocks — no pupil accounts, no pupil data, nothing for IT to install.

SUBSCRIPTION DETAILS
Flashwise Pro is an auto-renewable subscription, billed monthly or yearly. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. It renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple ID account settings. Prices vary by country and are shown in the app before you subscribe.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1 — 2026-09-24

Scan your vocabulary list instead of typing it.

• Photo scanning (Pro): point your camera at a vocabulary list and Flashwise turns it into cards. Recognition runs entirely on your device — the photo is never uploaded.
• Crop before scanning: frame just the word list so headings, margins and the opposite page don't get in the way. Sharper crop, better results.
• Accent keys: á à â ä é è ê í ó ö ñ ç ß and more, one tap away while you write a card. Because learning vocabulary means learning accents.
• School licences: schools can now equip a whole class. Pupils scan a QR code or type a short code, and Pro unlocks for the school year.
• Flashwise Pro is now a monthly or yearly subscription. Bought Pro before? It stays unlocked for you, forever — use Restore Purchases on a new device.
• Smoother study sessions and various fixes.

Everything still works offline, with no account and no tracking.

### 1.0 — 2026-07-20
