### 4/5 — Widget

*2026-09-27, version 3.17.2*

App is great but would be good as a widget on the home screen

### 3/5 — Alright

*2026-08-01*

It’s good app helping me keep track of my chores and points but I feel I can’t add family since my parents are divorced and you can only have one «house» at a time in the app, wish there was a possibility for multiple so I can keep track of what to do at my dads and at my moms at once and they don’t have to see each other’s business

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. Support for multiple households at once, so you can track chores separately without them overlapping, is a great idea: Noted and on our list. As a workaround for now, you could use a different email address and the WebApp to manage a second home in parallel.

Pls add Spanish support and random order of people for each chore thanks

### 5/5 — Exactly what I was looking for

*2026-05-27, version 3.16.1*

This app has the 3 things we needed. My boyfriend lives with my teenage daughter and me. We needed to share a shopping list and chore list, plus my boyfriend and I needed to be able to share expenses. This does it all! Very happy. Worth the annual subscription fee.

### 4/5 — Amazing App!

*2026-04-21, version 3.16.1*

I really love how this app helps keep my wife and I on track and connected. It’s really easy to get caught up in the business of life and lose track of the small daily things. This app helps to keep those things from building up so we can focus more on each other. A few things I think would make this app even more useful would be the ability to adjust when a task was completed as well as have a different tracker outside of the point system. Sometimes I log something I completed a day late but it would get counted as the same day. Also, the point system can sometimes make it feel like a competition so if you had an alternative where you both are trying to reach a certain amount of points together to meet certain incentives then it may encourage more teamwork!

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. Glad Flatastic is helping with household organization and keeping you connected. Adjusting task completion dates and a cooperative points system focused on shared goals – both solid ideas, noted and on our list.

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2026-04-14, version 3.16.1*

Helps with communication and helped my partner and I get on the same page.

### 5/5 — Great for Relationships

*2026-04-11, version 3.16.1*

Great for relationships. Helps remind of what to do, find agreement on the value of effort and acknowledge what we’re doing. Well worth premium.

### 5/5 — helps me a lot!

since my memory Is trash this app helps me keep track with my chores! yay!

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2026-03-29, version 3.16.0*

Excellent app for easy scheduling.

### 5/5 — Tatsächlich Nutzerorientiert!

*2026-03-17*

### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2026-03-11, version 3.16.0*

This app is a great all-in-one solution for people sharing a household. I currently live with six other people, and when everyone is just “winging it,” things can get chaotic. Before using this app, most of the chores and organizing ended up falling on my shoulders since I’m the homeowner. Having finances, chores, and the shopping list all in one place has been incredibly helpful for creating structure and accountability in the house.

The one area I wish was improved is the financial tracking. Right now it operates entirely as a ledger. While that works from a technical standpoint, it can make things feel unnecessarily complicated and visually messy for people who are trying to manage a household budget. Some people may prefer the ledger style, but for me it becomes harder to follow.

I really like that you can add recurring monthly bills and expenses, but I wish there was also a clearer budgeting feature that showed each person’s expected monthly contribution and any surplus or reserve funds. For example, part of my household budget includes a repair/savings reserve. Because of the way the ledger works, that money isn’t actually spent but it still affects how the numbers appear, which makes the totals look confusing.

It would also be great if there were a simpler option where each roommate could just confirm something like “I paid my monthly amount of $X”, and then the system could track additional expenses or reimbursements separately if needed.

A separate section specifically for house savings or reserve funds would also make budgeting much clearer.

Overall, though, this is still one of the better apps I’ve found for managing a shared household.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the detailed feedback. Glad Flatastic is bringing structure and accountability to your shared flat. The points around clearer budgeting, monthly contribution tracking, and a separate savings/reserve section are all solid ideas for improving financial management – noted and on our list.

### 5/5 — Informative Development Team

*2026-03-11, version 3.16.0*

I wrote for feedback asking if a feature is possible in this app. Malik quickly responded to me and told me that the feature is being tested on the back end but not yet ready for the app. They even suggested a temporary workaround in the meantime.

### 5/5 — Handy even for married couples

*2026-03-09, version 3.15.0*

Life can get busy— this app helped my husband and I split up chores around the home that would otherwise sometimes fall through the cracks when our schedules get hectic. It’s easy to use and automatically assigns the tasks based on your preferences (ex: alternate between my husband and I every 2 weeks to mop the floor).

### 4/5 — App is great!!

*2026-02-13, version 3.15.0*

The app has taken away most of the “mental load” when it comes to daily chores! This fits perfectly to for my husband and I and we both love getting points. We both have added and taken chores off, we use the grocery list effectively and the bulletin board is where we meal plan for the week! I really enjoy this app!
I have two things I would would to see in the app. One is being able to have the chores list in alphabetical order, especially the “as needed” ones. As well as if I have a reoccurring daily chore and I forget to mark it for the day and it becomes overdue, it erases it for the day I am currently on. Is there a way to mark it for the day I forgot instead of the day I’m on?

**Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback. We’re thrilled Flatastic is helping you and your husband manage the mental load of daily chores and shared household tasks! It’s great to hear you’re making the most of the grocery list, bulletin board, and points system.
For your suggestions: You can already filter chores by assigned person and frequency. Alphabetical sorting for the “as needed” list isn’t possible yet, but it’s on our list. The same goes for marking overdue recurring chores for the day they were missed. We’ll look into improving this.
BR,
Malik

### 5/5 — Useful and easy to use

*2026-02-09, version 3.15.0*

Been using the free version of the app for a year to organize chores with my roommate and it has helped us a lot. Easy to use overall, and the free version has worked well enough for us.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Great app… if you pay

*2026-04-18, version 3.16.1*

It only lets you review each person’s task history if you pay the premium version, which is kind of a bummer. I already pay 10 subscriptions that I actually need, why pay another for a literal chore list?

### 1/5 — Dysfunctional

*2025-02-08, version 3.7.1*

My partner and I both tried to join first my “home” then set up for him and it simply doesn’t work, on his end it says he’s not a part but has the option to move out. After 20 min of trying a simple task we both deleted it, too buggy

### 1/5 — Finance & expense won’t work when handling COP

*2024-08-19, version 3.6.6*

The app does not allow expenses greater than 50.000, but 50.000 cop is literally to 10 usd. Many expenses are greater than 50.000 cop, but the app won’t let me add the expense. If the expense is in COP it should allow at least 10 million cop

### 1/5 — Messages

*2021-08-19, version 3.1.0*

MESSAGES SHOULD APPEAR BELOW OLD ONES NOT ABOVE THEM

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2020-03-11, version 2.3.28*

There must be some kind of bug because every time I try to open the app, it crashes. I tried redownloading, turning off my phone, etc.

### 1/5 — Crash

*2020-02-12, version 2.3.28*

Crashes as soon as I open it :( can’t use

### 2/5 — Critical features missing !

*2026-06-25, version 3.16.1*

Seems like a good app. But it lacks two VERY important capabilities: 1) Ability to split subscription costs among the flat mates. In our case, each person pays a different portion of the rent. So equal splitting doesn't work for us; 2) Only supports a single currency. We live in Basel and so frequently have expenses in CHF and EUR. And occasionally in USD. Despite your app being amazing in every other way, the missing capabilities above render your app useless to us. Are these capabilities even on your product roadmap?

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. Custom expense splitting is actually in internal testing right now – so that's coming. Multi-currency support for CHF, EUR, and USD is noted and on our list. Stay tuned.
BR, Malik

### 2/5 — App signing out every session

*2026-01-30*

The moment I close the app and remove from app switcher. My logged in session isn’t being persisted. Please fix, unable to use the app

**Developer response:** Thanks for letting us know. Reinstalling the app has resolved this for some users in the past. We’re continuously improving Flatastic’s performance, so keep an eye out for updates.
BR,
Malik

### 2/5 — Ugh

*2016-12-31, version 2.3.3*

Why can't there just be an easy app for US that splits chores and bills? Add the US please!

### 2/5 — German!

*2016-03-04, version 2.2.3*

What a shame. The app covers all of the things we need but even when selecting English as the language, it remained in German 😁

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great for family chores, groceries, etc.

*2026-10-12, version 3.17.4*

This app is what I was looking for all along. Over the last two years, I had been looking for a family chore app that has a little bit of gamification, but not overly complicated. There are tons of there, but they all want dollar values attached to each chore, or some other thing. This app let's you create chores, assign the to people, groups of people, or put them up for grabs. It has a leader board with point values for each chore. It has a groceries list, a chat function, some financial tracking for situations where different family members or roommates handle certain bills. I couldn't ask for a better app for my family.

### 5/5 — Gute App

*2026-09-06*

### 5/5 — Brilliant app

*2026-09-06, version 3.17.1*

Free version is great and has helped my housemates and I a bunch!

### 5/5 — Great

*2026-09-03, version 3.17.1*

Simple and easy

### 5/5 — Really good app, but could be even better!

*2026-08-30, version 3.17.1*

My fiancee and I started using this app because I have ADHD and have trouble completing tasks that are not urgent/don’t have deadlines attached. Flatastic is great because it reminds me that tasks are “due” — like when it’s been a week since we cleaned the bathroom mirror, so it’s time to do that again. There are a couple things that would make it even better, though:
1. A widget for iPhone Home Screen. I already put the app on the first page of my Home Screen so i constantly see it and am constantly reminded that i have things to do, but it would be even better to have a widget to remind me WHAT those things are. “You have 3 things to do” is great, but “you have 3 tasks due today:
- do laundry
- do dishes
- vacuum”

… would be even better.

2. Shared tasks. Most tasks we do independently, but some (like folding laundry and changing sheets) we do together. For now, we just alternate who gets credit for those week-by-week, but to be able to assign tasks to BOTH of us and have BOTH of us get credit for them would be amazing.

Overall, great app! Can’t wait to see it get even better in the future :)

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. Glad Flatastic is helping with task reminders. A Home Screen widget showing specific due tasks is noted. Shared task credit for both partners has come up before too. That's a +1 on our list now.
We run an agile product development process: currently finalizing custom expense splitting and working on a calendar view, so more is on the way.

BR, Malik

### 5/5 — Seit Jahren treuer Helfer

*2026-08-19*

### 5/5 — Reliable

*2026-08-09, version 3.17.1*

Good. Reliable and gets the job done

### 5/5 — Best Free Household App I’ve Found

*2026-08-04, version 3.17.0*

Finally found a free app to help me organise my household chores. I love that it syncs with my husband and kids, so we can all see what needs doing and choose which jobs to do. The adds got irritating, But having already tried and tested the app for a while, I didn’t mind paying the small fee to get rid of them. I could just do with a way to prioritise which chores could do with being first, and which ones can wait. Apart from that. Fantastic

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-07-17, version 3.17.0*

It’s so fun for me and my siblings!!!

### 5/5 — So helpful for chores!

*2026-07-16, version 3.16.1*

Use this as a chore and shopping list app with my kids. It’s very helpful and finally a system we all use consistently.
