You get so many messages from people just messaging everyone. ### 3/5 — Could be way less tedious… *2025-11-20, version 4.6.21* I don’t think I have ever reviewed an app - but this first world problem drives me nuts. It’s the filtering options for flatmates. We should be able to set hard filters which remove all profiles that don’t fit. If I want to remove ‘X’ gender, I don’t want to scroll through the hundreds of them in the matches! Same with couples/groups, pets, and BUDGETS! Why on earth would I want to match with people who can’t afford the advertisement 😭😭😭 The only saving grace is that you can delete profiles from your matches, but it is teeedious to do when you start off because you may have hundreds of profiles to sort through. Just let us set hard filters. Please. The rental crisis and finding a suitable housemate is hard enough. I lived with a woman who appeared to be kind and friendly at the beginning but turned out to be nasty and manipulative. I used pretty much everything else too, but this was the app that got me the most responses and had the most apartments! ### 3/5 — Poor customer experience *2024-05-14, version 4.2.14* I’ve been using this app on and off for around 6yrs to find new housemates and recently activated my profile again. I recall liking this app in the past, but currently the product owner seems to have lost their way, as the app now makes it really difficult to find genuine exact matches. I’m tempted to look around for other, less hard work, options. There’s something funky going on with the matching algorithm, as people who don’t match the weekly rent amount I’m asking are being matched as “100%” matches (I would argue that the weekly rent amount is a critical variable for both parties to match on). Additionally, there’s no way to sort by highest to lowest match, or to filter out people who aren’t 100% matches (which I would prefer to do & then work back to check some close matches if i need/want to consider others). Consequently my match feed is a confusing mess, and though the app says I have something like 170-180 matches, I can’t put my finger on true matches unless I weed through every single one of them (who has time or the inclination for that!) A couple of extra suggestions for you - Please enable me to filter out anybody who’s still active, but who hasn’t been online for days, so I don’t have to waste time opening up people’s profiles who have likely found a place & aren’t available. Other option could be to show last online date on people’s tiles on the matches page. If you could also configure the app to allow me to more easily filter in on people looking to move on or shortly after the date my room is listed as available, this would also make searching for the right match easier. ### 5/5 — Easy to use *2024-04-11, version 4.2.14* Easy to use and set up a profile. Worth paying if you want to find a housemate. Profiles are easy to search and detailed. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — WARNING- do not waste your money *2025-11-27, version 4.6.21* I have been using this app/site for almost one month now in an attempt to lease out the second en suite bedroom in my apartment. After uploading my listing with photos and a good amount of detail about the room, other flatmate (myself) and cost, location and so forth, I was expecting a reasonable amount of interest. This did not occur. Initially I thought it may have been my listing so I altered the listing- still nothing. I then looked more into other listings on the site both offering a room and seeking a share accommodation. I was shocked to see that some listings on here were weeks old and had not been removed or updated. It was then I realised why this is- so it appears in site reviews that it is popular because of the volume of listings. What it fails to divulge is that the listings are months old and still being touted as up to date. Do not waste your money!! ### 1/5 — Many Scammers On This App *2025-01-14, version 4.6.13* There are many fake accounts on this app that will message you and ask for payment to “reactivate” your account. The link looks good and professional but do not pay. If you wait a short while the account will get blocked. The app is also very slow and sometimes does not load at all, other times will not load messages. ### 1/5 — Bad - Many Bot *2024-12-04, version 4.5.33* I purchased the app $30/mth which really expensive and i ask for a refund because i’m not satisfy with app. They cancel my plan right away and apple refuse to refund me. In a time of crisis and rising homelessness they want you to limit your search to a maximum of 5 suburbs. Absolutely ridiculous and incredibly tough for those desperate to find accommodation. Especially those of us with pets who are now considered even more undesirable. At this time many people are struggling and do not have the luxury of finding safe lodging close to their work. Therefore we have to use a wide net to find a home but this results in deactivation. Even some government and social services are promoting this resource when it actively excludes those that have limited options. ### 1/5 — Ripping off customers since 1987 *2022-06-13, version 3.15.9* This app is a rip off and charges EVERYONE to read messages whether the person sending it is a paid member or not. Reputable sites charge tenants to search for places it requires one party in a conversation to be paid but this app makes both sender and receiver to pay in order to read a message. ### 1/5 — Not recomended *2022-05-12, version 3.14.9* It feels like this is a 1 person company who monopolies the process.
