The first thing I’d suggest: instead of hitting a button to randomize the next recipe, maybe give a list to choose from. The second, and most important, a change to the population of the grocery list from the chosen recipes. Instead of having a separate “ingredient” for same ingredients, just combine them. For example, say one recipe calls for 1/4 cup minced onion, whereas another calls for 1/2 cup chopped onion. Cannot Print Recipes! *2021-11-30* Got sucked into this app when I saw an ad in a magazine with a recipe I wanted to try. However, there is no print function for my iPhone. I even tried sending the recipe in an email, but all it did was download the app to a different phone. Poor development! If you’re not a person who cooks from online recipes, look some other place for recipes or be prepared to write by hand anything you want to try from this app. ### 1/5 — Not as Advertised (Dietary Restrictions) *2021-08-24* Maybe this app is great, maybe the recipes are great. I don’t know because I stopped looking through it when I realized that what they meant when they said you can “set your flavor preferences and dietary restrictions” is that you can sort recipes by vegetarian and gluten-free. While that’s great, it’s hardly all encompassing, and it doesn’t allow me to find recipes based on my dietary restriction, which happen to be one of the other 8 major allergens. It’s fine if an app doesn’t do that, just don’t lie about it and waste my time. ### 1/5 — No organization. Suppose if you like cooking videos and a very immediately frenetic "home" screen (with like 3 videos showing at once, and I'm on a 1st gen SE…), it might be useful. I am usually able to find the McCormick products I need at one of the 2 grocery chains in my area but, sometimes I have to go to both stores. Would be nice if I could order single packets online! I have one development ask: I would like to be able to add notes to the recipes so I can remember modifications for the next time.
