I don’t score real high, but it still is very satisfying. I applaud the developer for making this game premium at a fair price with no ads. I also love the design and the way the dice rolls and checking boxes work. And the way AI works (to block you) is excellent, it makes you feel like a human is playing against you, but without the stress of trying to beat an AI’s score. Brilliant. Once I figured out how all the mechanics work, I’m enjoying this game immensely. A good tutorial would have helped. It took playing a lot and reading the rules several times for things to click. I’m glad I stuck with it, because this is an excellent solo game, that plays well and is priced fairly. It could use a little battery optimization, but it’s not too bad. No complaints really. Ignore my prior reviews before things clicked. Thank you developer! This might be my favorite phone game now. You might also visit the game on Board Game Geek to learn more. ### 4/5 — All the mechanics are there *2024-02-04* And it’s an enjoyable experience but be warned it is not a beautiful or elegant looking game. But despite that it is fun to play and it mimics the roll and write very well. A couple of wish list items. Larger font! I’m getting older and even with readers on my ipad it’s hard to read. The licenses can be tapped to get larger but they do not go away after tapping agin. You have to wait for the game to shrink them. Not everything can be enlarged either. Some of the background choices make the iconography hard to see and read in the fish area especially. The dice fall to the bottom of the screen and block the income track. Luckily on my iPad I can go to landscape mode which lets me see the income track. Otherwise it’s a no go. The income track is important information. Would love to see a undo button. Otherwise I have to be very careful I don’t a tap a die I don’t want. I’m guessing it’s a money and time issue for some of the graphic design decision but the project seems a bit rushed. It’s one of my favorite games and I hope that you are going to continue to improve on it. I do appreciate that you took the time to digitize this game though. There have been framerate issues as well, particularly when playing for longer than a half an hour. ### 4/5 — Great Implementation but no Multiplayer *2023-12-16* This is a great game to get a digital version of and it all works as expected. Some of the UI is not 100% intuitive but it doesn’t take long to learn. My only gripe is that there is no simulated multiplayer. It looses its replay ability with only having the solo mode available (in the solo mode stuff is crossed out on your own sheet making it unavailable, instead of trying to beat someone head to head in scoring). **Developer response:** Thanks for your review and we expect multiplayer to launch spring 2024. A little bit to learn with the UI, but I think it’s pretty intuitive. Tried deleting the app and redownloading it, but no luck. It still crashes. Double-checked that my phone was compatible with the app, and it is, so… I’m not sure what else can be done from my end, unfortunately. Now the game often crashes, i can’t complete a game most times on my phone. MAJOR bummer. The achievements also would be fun to shoot for - can I get 45 fish in one game, for example - BUT nope, the ones I do complete simply aren’t recorded.
