### 1/5 — The developer is walking away

*2025-02-18*

I am resistant to use any system like this where the developer has walked away. He should make it free for all levels and allow could syncing or something that does not cost him.

### 4/5 — Stagnant Dark Mode

*2024-10-30, version 0.11.2*

Great app! My one complaint is that dark mode should switch with the device setting.

### 5/5 — Better than Obsidian Mobile*

*2024-10-02, version 0.11.2*

Fleeting Notes has a simple, frictionless UI and all the core features you’d want for Quick Captures. Cloud Sync literally happens in real-time.

*The great thing about Obsidian Mobile is it’s loaded with all features from desktop. The problem with Obsidian Mobile is it’s loaded with all features everything from desktop…

### 4/5 — Good simple app - issue with enription

*2024-07-21*

It is a good simple app I been using to send notes to Obsidian and was pretty happy with it. However , recently notes start to be “scrambled” - everything converted to complete gibberish, and I not sure why.

### 3/5 — Battery Hog

*2023-11-25*

Trying this out for a scratch pad to sync to obsidian. On a brand new iphone 14 pro max, had it open on screen for 90 minutes slowly writing some stuff and it drained my battery almost thirty percent. I think the only other app that does that much battery drain in that time frame is TikTok. What's it doing??

### 1/5 — Serious issues

*2023-09-16*

Markdown is a joke. It only sometimes works in the note and never in list view. It mostly doesn't work at all given it depends on what markdown you're trying to use. On top of that, it's ridiculous that you can't sort without using search which I neither want nor need. Why can you save searches, but not create lists? That makes zero sense. Not that it works for more than one note anyway. I want all notes at once in the order I want them.

### 3/5 — Want to Like It but Sync Function Needs a LOT of Work

*2023-08-05*

I first discovered Fleeting Notes through the Chrome extension store and then discovered it had accompanying iOS apps for iPhone and iPad. I was deciding between this and Eloquence and that is the factor that made me choose Fleeting Notes.

However, I am constantly having issues with the sync. I know not every app under the sun can sync at light speed, especially if they are still perfecting their product, but this is ridiculous. I will hit force sync over and over and nothing happens. It says on the Obsidian plugin that it resyncs every 30 minutes or so. Well, I made a note using the Chrome extension at around 1:30pm today. It is now almost 9:30pm and it is STILL not there. It’s not in Obsidian, nor is it in the Fleeting Notes app itself. It takes WAY too long.

I use apps like Notion and NotePlan religiously and when I make any kind of change in either app on one device, I can literally refresh the page on another device seconds later and the changes are right there.

I won’t delete it just yet but, unfortunately, it looks like I’m inevitably going to head that route.

### 1/5 — Nope

*2023-07-19*

I wanted to like it. Really but they have forced me to logout and signing back in lost all my notes. Was trying to sync it to my laptop but it erased all my notes on the ios which was local. Big, huge waste of time. Only allowed to sign in one device at a time but can’t trust your notes.

P.S. im so disappointed as a lot of important stuff just vanished.

### 5/5 — Has become my primary mobile note taker

*2023-07-03, version 0.10.6*

This is more than just an obsidian tool. I use it to capture any thoughts, any where. The Obsidian integration just makes it better.

### 1/5 — Very basic capture app, but expensive pricing model

*2022-08-10*

This looked promising. But the pricing is just absurd. “100% free” is just a bait for an expensive subscription that is required. Rated one star.

**Developer response:** Hello TheGreenGouse, using the app to take notes offline is 100% free. The only caveat to using the app for free (as of now) is the inability to be logged into multiple devices. Meaning you need to re-login when using different devices. The free plan is functionally equivalent to the basic plan if your plan is only to use one device with FN installed. I hope you understand the reason for this pricing model is to help with development costs and server expenses.
