### 5/5 — Very Easy to Use/Follow

*2026-06-07*

The app is visually appealing and makes everything extremely easy and concise to follow. As a Division One Athlete, having this right at the tip of my fingertips and can constantly track my own gains and progression by myself, it adds a whole new level of accountability and sense of accomplishment. I also really like the AI Coach feature. Something new and clearly using AI to benefit me is a win.

### 1.6.14 — 2026-07-31

Redesigned Navigation & Quick Add — Flex's bottom navigation and Quick Add menu have received a complete visual refresh, making the app easier to move through while keeping your most-used actions close at hand.

Quick Workouts — Start an unplanned workout immediately without needing to create or add it to a full training plan first. Quick Workouts are ideal for spontaneous gym sessions, travel workouts, or days when you want more flexibility.

AI Food Logging — Logging meals is now faster with AI. Describe what you ate in plain text, take a photo of your meal, or import an existing image, and Flex will estimate the foods, calories, and nutrition information for you.

Nutrition & Goals Redesign — The Nutrition tab and Goals screen have been redesigned to better match the rest of Flex, with a cleaner layout and a more consistent visual experience.

Good Morning Sleep Summary — Start each morning with a quick recap of your night — hours slept, recovery, and a suggested effort range for the day — pulled straight from Apple Health. Flex now also recognizes and correctly labels every activity that syncs from Apple Health, from an Outdoor Cycle to a Functional Strength session, so imported workouts always show up named right.

More Motivational Quotes — Flex now includes a larger collection of motivational quotes, plus dedicated rest-day quotes to keep you encouraged on recovery days as well as training days.

Smarter Insights & Notifications — Fixed an issue where Smart Insights could repeatedly show the same recommendation, and refined notifications so you get one clear, relevant morning summary instead of duplicates.

Full Plan Sharing — You can now share an entire training plan with a friend instead of only sharing individual workouts. Friends can preview the full plan before adding it to their own account.

Gear Tracking — Add your shoes and other fitness gear to Flex and track their mileage, workout usage, and overall wear over time, making it easier to know when something may need to be replaced.

New App Icons — Additional app icon options are now available under Settings → Appearance, giving you even more ways to personalize how Flex looks on your Home Screen.

Various Bug Fixes & Improvements

### 1.6.011 — 2026-07-15

Referral Program & Rewards — Flex now has a referral program. Invite friends using your personal link or code, and earn rewards as they join, including exclusive accent colors and app icon options that aren't available to everyone. Rewards unlock automatically as your referrals hit each milestone, and anything you already had selected before it became exclusive stays yours.

Custom Accent Colors — A new accent color picker in Appearance Settings lets you personalize Flex beyond the default orange. Some colors are unlocked immediately, others unlock through the referral program above.

Shareable Workout Codes — Workouts, plans, and sessions can now be shared with a simple code instead of just a link. Enter a friend's code to preview their workout, plan, or session before adding it to your own, and shared codes now expire after a set time instead of staying valid forever.

Redesigned Share Cards — The workout and activity share experience has been rebuilt with a full-screen editor and a proper template system, so you can pick a layout and style before sharing instead of getting one fixed card. Sharing is also easier to trigger — take a screenshot of a workout summary and Flex will offer to turn it into a shareable card.

Warm-Up & Cooldown — Flex now builds a smarter warm-up based on the muscles your workout actually targets, instead of a single random warm-up movement. A cooldown has also been added after both lift and cardio sessions.

Autopilot Improvements — Autopilot no longer tries to add weight to bodyweight exercises — it recognizes them automatically. You can also mark any exercise to "Hold Weight," which pauses Autopilot's weight increases for that exercise while still tracking your performance. Suggested weight increases are now rounded to realistic increments based on your equipment (5 lb for barbells, machines, and dumbbells; 2.5 lb otherwise).

Apple Watch & Live Activity Sync — Fixed several issues where the Watch and iPhone could fall out of sync during a workout: timers on the Watch no longer drift from your iPhone, the Watch now returns to your workout automatically if your screen sleeps mid-set, and the Live Activity now properly ends the moment your workout finishes instead of lingering on screen. Workout completion is now handled as one coordinated step across both devices.

Liquid Glass Design Upgrade — Buttons and the navigation bar now use Apple's real Liquid Glass material on supported devices, replacing the earlier approximation, so Flex's controls look and feel more consistent with the rest of iOS. The back button's arrow has also been re-centered.

Various Bug Fixes & Improvements

### 1.6.010 — 2026-07-10

Goals & Race Training — Flex now has a new Goals screen for tracking lift goals and race goals in one place. Set a goal for a 5K, 10K, half marathon, full marathon, or any custom distance or sport, and Flex will generate a full training plan with weekly pacing, distance targets, and effort guidance. Training sessions now appear directly on your calendar, and tapping a scheduled run starts your run automatically.

Plan & Calendar — The Plan tab has been reworked so each day shows a real breakdown of what’s scheduled, including lift days, run days, or both. Recurring lift days from your active plan now show correctly on the calendar. Month view now shows actual workout and event names instead of unlabeled dots, and Week and Agenda views show full session details like “2km easy effort @ 4:45/km” instead of vague labels like “Easy.”

Apple Health Import — Apple Health import has been overhauled with support for more workout types, not just strength training. Duplicate imports are now prevented, and imported workouts show a Health badge so you can tell them apart from workouts logged directly in Flex.

Sleep & Notifications — A new morning sleep summary notification gives you your sleep duration and score first thing in the morning, if enabled in Notification Settings. Workouts also now send a quick logged confirmation notification when you finish.

Running & Cardio — Cardio activities now include heart rate zones with a zone-colored graph. Flex also adds new Cardio Load, Cardio Focus, and Activity Strain scores. GPS tracking issues on live runs and rides have been fixed, and route, location, and weather data have been backfilled for Health-imported activities.

Workout Logging — Fixed an issue where finishing the second exercise in a superset didn’t return you to the first exercise for another round. The mid-workout Add Exercise search now matches the newer filterable search UI used elsewhere in the app. The active workout screen also has restyled set rows with orange set numbers and cleaner input boxes to match the workout builder.

Apple Watch Improvements — The Watch app now has a new settings screen for units, auto-pause, splits, and audio cues. In-workout controls have been redesigned into a swipeable carousel with Finish, Pause, Settings, Lock, and Splits. Fixed the Watch getting stuck on the Finish screen, improved sync after ending a workout, and fixed the complication icon not showing correctly on the watch face.

Liquid Glass Design — Buttons throughout the app now have a more consistent Liquid Glass look. The back button arrow has been adjusted so it sits correctly in its circle, and the floating transparent header style has been expanded across more screens.

Muscle Group Radar Chart — Fixed an incorrect calculation in the muscle-group radar chart.
