## What is FlexCheck?

FlexCheck is a dead-simple budgeting app built for one thing: making sure you have enough in your account when every bill hits — especially when you're living paycheck to paycheck.

No bank logins. No syncing. No spreadsheets. Just your bills, your paychecks, and a clear answer to the only question that matters: "Will I make it to the next paycheck?"

HOW IT WORKS
• Set up your recurring income and bills once as a Template. Every new month is pre-filled automatically — no re-entering the same items.
• As money moves, tap to clear each item. FlexCheck keeps a running total of exactly how much still needs to be in your account.
• One "Needed in Account" number tells you, at a glance, whether you're covered.

BALANCE EACH PAYCHECK
Add your paychecks with their deposit dates and FlexCheck splits your bills by which check pays them — with a subtotal and a "left over" amount for each one. Instantly see if too many bills are stacked on a single check, so you can rebalance before you overdraft. This is the part most budgeting apps miss, and it's the heart of living check to check.

Fixes and improvements

• Fixed: Export / Back Up Data opened a blank screen instead of
  the share sheet. Backups now work again.
• "Needed in Account" now shows what's still to clear this month,
  and tells you separately whether your balance covers it. It
  previously ignored an overdrawn balance and could read low.
• Your balance is now labelled "Balance you entered" and shows the
  exact figure you typed, with the date you entered it — so you can
  see at a glance whether it's still current.
• New: a deposits line shows how many paychecks have landed.
• The In account / Overdrawn toggle is now colour-coded.
• Removed the Reconcile prompt to keep the Months screen simple.
• About now shows the correct version number.

• MANAGE PAY PERIODS — Added a pay period by accident? Tap the ⊙ menu on any paycheck group to edit the deposit or remove the pay period. Your income stays — only the grouping changes.

• SMARTER RECONCILING — Reconcile now shows last month's projected ending balance for reference, and gives you a mid-month nudge so untracked spending never drifts far.

• SIMPLER STARTING BALANCE — Just enter what's in your account right now, any day of the month, and FlexCheck handles the math — even if you start using the app mid-month.

• EASIER TO READ — Clearer pay period labels and better spacing for larger amounts in your monthly summary.

• BUG FIXES — Fixed an issue where your existing budget data might not appear after updating, and polished up the first-launch experience. Your data now loads reliably from older backups too.
