But the last few times I have tried to use it when I got to the gyms they said they didn’t accept the app anymore, even though it was showing up on the app map that they were associated with the facility. The app even allowed me to make a reservation. It’s a long way to go through the city take a workout to the other side of town and then be told that the app isn’t accepted. The trainers cover every specialty, and in my experience they are remarkable at how quickly they intuit your strengths and goals. I went in expecting a lot, and I'm still blown away. The trainers and management are ridiculously customer-centric, any questions you have are relief to in minutes by your trainer and/or management. Just give it a shot, this is absolutely the best fitness app around, and for the price there is nothing - virtual or in-person - that comes close. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Does not work *2025-08-17, version 7.2* I have tried to use this app to workout at 2 different gyms they have listed on the app that are near me and both of them just stare at me blankly when I try to check-in. They just try to sell me a $20 day pass. It’s q cool idea but it just doesn’t work the way they say. ### 1/5 — Scam and Overcharge Alert! *2024-09-25* Flexit overcharged my card, then lied to me over text and claimed I signed up for a "3-month" mandatory subscription, but there isn't anything like that nor is there any record of a 3 month subscription or communications about a 3-month subscription. Even after I showed them how their $453 charge messed up my checking account, they still refused to reverse the fraudulent charge. I never used their services after the month I purchased 12 sessions. Beware of any company who acts in bad faith like Flexit has done. Beware of a company who lies blatantly just to get a few hundred bucks from a single mom. **Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologize for any frustration you’ve experienced. The charge was made in accordance with the 3-month commitment option that was selected and agreed upon during the checkout process, as clearly outlined on our website. If there’s anything further we can do to clarify or assist, please don't hesitate to contact us. ### 1/5 — Scam / monthly charges without warning *2024-02-09, version 7.2* This business is a scam. About a year after I signed up they “changed their terms of use” and randomly opted my account into monthly charges that I never agreed to. Just a dirty business practice from a shady company. ### 1/5 — Criminal *2023-12-31, version 7.2* Years after I stop using this app, and months after closing my account, these crooks continue to charge my credit card. They have no place in the Apple Store, Apple needs to remove them as they are nothing but a predatory scam. As for you, looking for health and wellness, look anywhere else, as these are nothing but thieves. ### 1/5 — Random charges *2023-11-30, version 7.0* Used to be good when I used it. My gym stopped providing FlexIt so I deleted the app. Months later I got charged randomly. My friend also got charged for no reason to when she also did not have the app. A couple months later she gets charged again. Don’t know what’s happening but do not download this app, your money won’t be safe. ### 1/5 — Unapproved Charges- avoid *2023-10-30, version 6.24* I used this app once in 2020 to access a gym then never opened it again. Then I’m September 2023 it started charging me a $10 q month subscription fee which I never agreed to. ### 1/5 — Another Gym Scam *2022-11-19* Requires 30 days to cancel and is less than easy to cancel reoccurring payments. There is no ability to on the app or online. If you chat they cannot cancel there. You are stuck waiting for their customer service to email you and charge another month of services that are unusable. Better to avoid this app and company completely than being trapped with unusable sessions. They want you to give unused sessions to your friends so they’ll be scammed instead of you. The pause feature is also another way to rope you in for more charges. Looks like they are admitting in their response that this is difficult to cancel just like a traditional gym. Beware of the painful cancellation process and their passive aggressive reps who use buzzwords like wellness journey when they know they are just a gym scam. **Developer response:** Yes, we do have a 30-day notice cancellation policy with our monthly plans. Any sessions paid for are usable as they do not expire and will always remain on account. These sessions can be used at any time with any wellness professional on our platform. If you need any help booking your remaining sessions please reach out to support@flexit.fit. We would be happy to help you continue on your wellness journey. ### 1/5 — Umm, anybody home? *2022-11-19* Well, I make a practice of contacting a company’s supposed support before I sign up. I spent many hours trying to do that this morning and got nowhere. They were very eager to take all the possible personal information they could from me, which they can now sell. I was really excited about this all but if I can’t even ask a basic question of the company before buying, then I can’t imagine how bad it is after they have your money. P.S. The developer says they don’t see a chat. Maybe that is because no one answered my chat attempts? I don’t know why they aren’t seeing it, but I did attempt to chat with them. And forced personal data collection before I even sign up is not ok, no matter how “careful” you say you are. **Developer response:** I am sorry to hear you did not have success in contacting our support team. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service but do not see any communication in our chat box or emails to our support team from you. If we missed any attempts of you reaching out we do apologize. Please also rest assured that we are very protective of your data and understand how important your privacy is. We look forward to hearing from you in the future and hopefully being part of your wellness journey. ### 1/5 — FlexIt won't let me cancel my subscription *2022-10-27, version 6.10* I've tried to cancel my subscription multiple times through the app but the cancellation won't go through. In desperation, I tried to cancel my credit card and get a new one, but somehow they got hold of my new one as well (I'm not sure how). While I enjoyed FlexIt while I was using the service, I think this practice is extremely shady and would NOT recommend to anyone else. ### 1/5 — Some bugs on my end *2021-12-16, version 5.6* I’ve only been using the app for a couple of weeks but not much success on my end (with an iPhone 13). Lots of freezing and a repetitive general message that says “can’t connect to server.” I’ve tried deleting and reloading but ongoing issues makes the app entirely unreliable. I found a trainer I work really well with. Nothing else I do or have done to stay in shape has been more helpful and enjoyable. The FlexIt team have consistently been very responsive and helpful. Lastly, I’ve been able to stay consistent with my workouts no matter what’s happening or where I go. From a campsite in Maine to the middle of an empty living room during a move, I kept workout out.
