This app does NOT do what it claims to do on the app store, nothing remotely like it.  The developer offers lots of apps and
this looks and works like one of the others, Hours, minutes, seconds. It does Not do what it says on the app store.

The interface for adding time (days/hour/mins/secs) is clear and works fine.  The Column (like a paper tape on an adding machine) is a nice touch.  The Date Difference feature, however, could use some improvement.  For date entry, instead of a number keypad, it brings up the standard keyboard, and, annoyingly, keeps reverting to the alphabetical keyboard, which necessitates way too many keystrokes to enter a simple date.  This needs to be improved.  But the app does the job it's intended to do.

### 7.3 — 2026-05-30

The E6B calculator, METAR decoder, weight and balance calculator, and NOTAM decoder all got meaningful attention.

METAR AND TAF DECODER:
METAR parsing is more reliable now across a broader range of station formats. The previous version stumbled on a few real-world patterns,  non-standard ceiling group spacing, TEMPO and BECMG change groups that crossed midnight, and some CAVOK reports that weren't producing the correct IFR/VFR/MVFR/LIFR category. All three are fixed. The TAF decoder display was also reworked: forecast periods that used to stack together in a way that made the timeline hard to read now show as clean, distinct rows with explicit validity windows. If you regularly decode TAFs for IFR flight planning or preflight weather review, it should be more usable now.

NOTAM DECODER:
The subject classifier that categorizes NOTAMs by type,  airspace, obstacle, ILS, runway, navaid, and so on,  now catches a wider range of text patterns. More NOTAMs come back with a useful label instead of hitting the generic fallback. The affected airport extraction logic was also updated to handle NOTAMs where the relevant airport appears in the body text rather than just the header identifier. Summary output is tighter and more to the point, particularly for NOTAMs with long agency preambles before the actual operational content.

WEIGHT AND BALANCE CALCULATOR:
The CG envelope check now handles aircraft profiles where the forward and aft limit lines aren't linear across the full weight range. If your POH envelope has a stepped limit or a curve that changes slope at a particular weight, the within-limits check respects that shape instead of approximating it as a straight line between endpoints. The per-station loading breakdown is also easier to read,  totals align consistently, and the layout holds up better when you have five or more stations loaded.

HOLDING PATTERN CALCULATOR:
Direct, parallel, and teardrop entry recommendations are now calculated against tighter sector boundaries. There was a small angular bias in the previous version that occasionally pushed a boundary case,  typically right around the 70-degree or 110-degree lines,  into the wrong entry type. That's corrected. The result view now also shows the inbound course alongside the recommended entry heading, so you can cross-check against the approach plate without doing extra mental math.

E6B CALCULATOR AND WIND TOOLS:
Wind correction angle output now shows the aircraft's max demonstrated crosswind component as a reference when you have a profile loaded. Useful when you're working a gusty crosswind scenario and want to know where your computed crosswind sits relative to the aircraft limitation. The true airspeed calculator was also corrected for sub-zero OAT inputs at high altitude,  cold soak conditions were producing TAS values that ran slightly high, and that's been fixed.

PILOT TIME AND FLIGHT DUTY:
The flight duty snapshot screen handles long-day entries more cleanly now. Block time accumulation across multiple legs renders more consistently, and the shareable text output was reformatted to be less cluttered when the duty period has more than four segments. Shift rounding calculations with split-day scenarios,  overnight duty that starts on one date and ends on the next,  now resolve the date boundary correctly.

INPUT BEHAVIOR:
Rapid field edits,  clearing a value and typing a replacement quickly,  were causing some calculators to lock up and stop updating until you tapped somewhere else. Fixed. The keyboard done button now always triggers a recalculation immediately on dismiss, across all calculators. The previous behavior, where it sometimes took a second tap to get the result to update, is gone.

Keep the bug reports and feedback coming. This update is largely built from real-world notes sent in by pilots who caught things that weren't working the way they should.
