## What is Flight Currency?

Ready to fly? Are you current? Flight Currency lets you know, at glance, if you are legal to fly as pilot in command.

Easily track your
▻ Medical certificate currency per 14 CFR 61.23
▻ BasicMed currency as specified in federal docket number FAA-2016-9157.
▻ Flight review expiration per 14 CFR 61.56
▻ Recent flight experience per 14 CFR 61.57 paragraphs (a), (b), (c), and (d)

Flight Currency will correctly calculate expiration dates based on calendar months for flight reviews, medical examinations, and instrument experience. General and night experience automatically expire in 90 days.

Do you fly conventional gear aircraft? No problem! Tailwheel landings can be marked separately. Unsure if that last landing counts for night currency? One hour before sunrise and one hour after sunset calculated based on your current location. Gliders? Balloons? Helicopters? Welcome aboard!

Track multiple aircraft currency items including
▻ Annual and 100 hour inspection per 14 CFR 91.409 paragraphs (a) and (b)
▻ Altimeter system and altitude reporting inspection per 14 CFR 91.411
▻ Transponder inspection per 14 CFR 91.413
▻ ELT inspections per 14 CFR 91.207 paragraph (d)
▻ VOR equipment check per 14 CFR 91.171
▻ GPS NavData expiration
▻ Registration expiration
▻ Next oil change

Civil Air Patrol pilots can track various Regulation 60-1 requirements such as CAPF5 flight evaluations and NSPSC completion dates.

### 4/5 — Dark mode support is here! 🥳

*2026-05-16*

The new night mode works great! There is still no way to edit your input if you make a mistake in entering a date for example. That is really my only complaint now. Other than that, it is a great currency tracker for both pilot and plane.

**Developer response:** You can delete experience entries by swiping left on the row to uncover the Delete button, similar to other lists in iOS. Hope that helps!

The app supports night currency, but I did not implement iOS night mode.

### 4/5 — Good App for tracking currency

*2023-07-13*

Would give 5 stars if you could edit the date for your recent experiences. This would be a very handy feature for inputting past experiences, correcting incorrect logs and putting in experiences you forgot to log.

**Developer response:** You can swipe left on any incorrect experience entry to delete it. Then you can add an updated version.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2023-06-30*

Love it! Adding one ask to the list would be a field for logging actual (IMC).

### 3/5 — Dev not responsive to feedback

*2023-05-08, version 1.13*

Still not compatible with night mode. Also, there is no way to edit your input if you make a mistake in entering a date for example. How hard would it be to make an edit or delete function?

### 5/5 — Easy tracker

*2022-06-15*

This is a simple way to know if you are current day or night without having to go through your log book. Simple and easy.

### 1/5 — Won’t log instrument currency correctly

*2022-03-10*

No matter what I do it will not log me as instrument current. The only reason I bought the app was for a quick reference for instrument currency. Waste of money

**Developer response:** For instrument currency you need either an IPC entry or 6 approaches and 1 hold. If you fly multiple approaches on one day, you should tap "Add Experience" for each approach such that you have 7 rows in the Recent Experience table (6 approaches plus the 1 hold).

### 4/5 — Instrument Approaches

*2019-03-03*

Very nice app...would be nice to actually track type of approaches (ILS, VOR, RNAV, etc). But, definitely like the app.

### 4/5 — Oil changes

*2018-09-07*

Would like to see a date option as well as the engine time please.

### 2/5 — There’s potential

*2018-02-20*

I just downloaded this app. Perhaps I don’t see it yet, but I was hoping it would allow me to add my landings and set a reminder or notify me by either a color code or message when my landing currency expires. Also, it would be nice if they would expand aircraft category/class (as in my case, I’d like to add Powered Parachute/Land). On the “recent experience” page, it would be also be helpful if you could add the number of landings for that day.

**Developer response:** I added Powered Parachute in version 1.11 for you. Tap on the gear to enable it. Then tap on the parachute to add your landings. For more than 1 landing on a day, tap "Add Experience" for each landing. If you are current, the main screen will show a date in green when your currency expires. Otherwise the date will be red (expired) or blue (unset).

### 1/5 — Flight currency

*2017-03-18*

This application does not retain pilot data. Garbage

**Developer response:** There was a bug that was resolved in version 1.10. Thank you to the users that reported the bug and provided information to help fix it!
