Specially the charts when flipping back and forth from chart to question. The buttons are way too small and difficult to push, making it tedious to flip back n forth. They need to have a larger surface area. This is a minor complaint as I'm on my 4th of 6 tests and the slight annoyance has finally gotten the better of me to write about it. Sheppard air test is still an industry standard in aviation test prep. ### 5/5 — I scored a 95% on my commercial! *2019-04-28* Thank you developers of Sheppard air, by far the most intense training for a written I have ever received. I followed each step the guide had provided me with, studied 4-6 hours a day for 5 days and took the practice exam, scoring a 92%! I felt a little anxious about taking the test (if the questions weren’t similar to the ones I’ve been studying) but, that was not the case! Thank you Sheppard Air! ### 4/5 — Please add the figures you mention on some explanations *2018-12-29* This app is the best for the ATP-CTP written exam, but PLEASEEEE it would be really helpful if we could actually see the figures, pictures, drawings or whatever that you mention on a lot of the answers explanations. There is a lot of explanations where you read “see figure #XX” and there is nothing to see. Seeing a picture is sometimes way faster to learn something than just reading a full paragraph. I also bought ASA’s book and app, but their CFI support was awful and their database erroneous. This service has 24/7 CFI support and a much better database. Someone told me about this app and company, and I was skeptical to say the least but thought “what do I have to lose?” I spent 4 straight days following the instructions on the app and studying. Took a few practice exams and got 92-100% on every one. Then today I went and took the real thing. Finished the exam in 10 minutes and got 96%. Don’t waste your time or money with ASA because their questions/answers aren’t up to date. These guys have an amazing product so it’s only fair to pay the premium price for it. ### 5/5 — Great program! *2018-09-27, version 46* Have now passed IRA and IGI with great results. The forth day I went over the ones I was having issues with TWICE then took a practice exam and got a 96%. The following day I went for the exam and got a perfect score! THE FAA exam took me 30 minutes with 2 hours remaining on the clock. Sheppard Air with the help from a CX-3 is an award winning combination! ### 5/5 — I Passed my commercial. Thanks Shep Air!!! *2018-07-02* Follow their instructions exactly. I spent 30-60 minutes per day for about 10 days then I spent most of a Saturday going over all the questions, marking the questions I missed. I spent another hour reviewing the ones I missed. Took 1 practice test Sunday morning (91%) and another Sunday afternoon (93%). I met my instructor Monday and endorsed my logbook. Right after he endorsed, I took the written and scored a 94%. I could not have done this without Sheppard Air. Thanks again guys for putting out a great product. Well worth the money. I will be a customer again soon for the ATP! ### 5/5 — Just passed instrument airplane 97% *2018-06-19* I followed their study strategy and passed today with a 97 percent on my instrument airplane. The 2 questions I missed were in the program, and I just couldn’t quite remember. Every single question I had was in the program. The interface is pretty wonky and feel I learn more for using a book anyway. Do not buy. Software crashes whether you are on iPad or computer all the time. Disappearing Q's after updates?! *2014-02-09, version 40* The content and strategy of this program are on point. However, every day there seems to be a mandatory update with some change I need to know about. Here comes the problem... When the 10+ minute update is complete and you're ready to get back to studying...all of the study questions have disappeared. Yep. Don't panic though, it is completely fixable by you (the 24 hour tech support will confirm this). You just have to take another 20-30 minutes of your time deleting and re-installing the app. Boom. Fixed. However, I've had to call tech support several times over the past few weeks due to freeze ups. Also, if it requires an update, the app freezes and you're locked out. I’m a flight instructor now - which Sheppard Air helped me to become by the way - and I tell all my students, when paying for FAA tests this is how they should budget their money: however much for the actual test plus whatever it costs for the associated Shep prep software. 100% of the time. It’s that important. If you want to pass your FAA writtens, sign up and start going to work.
