I can see only knots, miles per hour and km/h ### 1/5 — Few or no instructions *2016-12-20* This app has pretty good graphics but zero instructions. Abour 15 minutes after download, I deleted the app from my iPad ### 1/5 — Good app *2014-09-08* HDG - 322° Wind direction - 12° Velocity - 32 kts. x-Wind is not 25 kts.!!!!!!!! It is - 24,5 kts.!!!!! It is very important!!! ### 2/5 — Not worth the money. *2022-02-26* This app has not been updated in years. The basic functionality is there, but it has not even been updated to fit the larger iPhone screen size. Don’t waste your money on this. ### 2/5 — Too limiting and inaccurate *2021-12-08* Winds are generally given in 10 degree increments. The app clicks off one degree at a time. The default should be 10 degrees (with option to tighten it to 5 or 1 degree increments). When I put in runway 26 and winds of 260 at 20 knots, the app calculated both a headwind and a tailwind component,With the tail and component exceeding my 10 knot limitation. This is not possible. Also, some limitations (like tailwind)Including gust limitation. I can see no way to input a guest in the app. **Developer response:** I'm sorry to hear that the app didn't live up to your expectations. Regarding the first point, the app already allows you to increment by 10º. to accomplish this, long-press the +/- buttons. As for the second point, please take a second look at the app's user interface. The display simultaneously shows wind components for both runway directions, in this case, 26 and 08. So, in the described scenario, the app doesn't indicate that you've exceeded both tailwind and headwind limits for runway 26 simultaneously, as stated in the review. Instead, it shows that runway 26 headwind limit and runway 08 tailwind limit have been exceeded. Not the headwind and tailwind limits for the same runway direction. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you like to explore this further. This is so unnecessary. Nobody is out trying to figure out crosswinds in a hurricane. 99% of the time, you’re in the bottom 20% of the scale, and it’s terribly sensitive. There’s a reason the scale on oral thermometers only go from 94-108 instead of 0-110. ### 4/5 — Simple and easy to use. *2018-07-22* I’ve been using this app for several years with no problems. Very intuitive . I frequently use it in China, where wind speeds are reported in MPS. I wish it had a provision for converting meters per second to knots. ### 4/5 — Auto Rotate would be a big improvement *2013-02-12* I definitely like this free app. The 1 big improvement would be to add auto rotation from portrait to landscape mode. In the cockpit I mount my iPad in landscape mode which makes using this app a little bit of a pain. I find it invaluable to make informed decisions when flying into both my home and other airports. The perfection lies in the simplicity and ease of use. It is not cluttered and the wind components are easily understood.
