I'm using Flight Tech EFB and I'm loving it. ### 5/5 — Exceptional *2025-05-14, version 2.17* As a student pilot I can see how useful this app can be, but for me I use this app virtually on MSFS/vatsim. It’s absolutely amazing for this, being able to quickly switch between custom made checklists and a digital notepad to write down ATC instructions. I also love the documents feature, being able to have charts etc on the app is very useful. I would love to see some better organisation here though, for example being able to name the documents. I’d also love to be able to draw on these documents using the markup feature Apple has. Overall it’s a fantastic app that every pilot must have in my opinion. ### 5/5 — FlightDeck EFB review *2025-04-17, version 2.17* FlightDeck is a brilliant app, very easy to use. I wanted to make an English Digital Version of this checklist to minimise errors in performing actions. But I am glad I have found this simple, light application that lets me use my iPad as a digital Checklist (customising the action items), providing space to scratch notes on the go, review documents stored locally like airport charts, log block time easily, review NOTAMs. I am yet to check the traffic option yet. The best part is that the application is free of charge and all the features are in 1 screen, without having to shift between apps. Some Feedback: - JIC If I inevitably shift to another app and come back to FD App, the document that I display on right pane gets closed and I have to reopen it again. Can we have it still displayed? - Is it possible to load NOTAMs? The way it should be. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 3/5 — Second Chance *2025-05-22, version 2.17* After a false start and a relatively poor experience, credit where credit is due, the developer has been very responsive. The checklist is the standout feature. No more torn, greasy, laminated pages where checks can be inadvertently missed. The action of checking off each item drives consistently good discipline. At the aircraft, on the train or in your lunch break you can run over the list to remind yourself of the steps. With a little creativity you use it to store the more nuanced radio calls as a training aid. ### 4/5 — Great app !!! *2026-02-15, version 3.2* Really a great app to have as an EFB. Add an undo button to the notepad 2. Add more presets to the checklist (maybe make an option for people to submit theirs for their aircraft) 3. An ATIS copy template on the notepad (with zones for everything) 4. In check lists errors can be corrected as required but there are a couple of embedded typos that annoy…. WIP… It’s getting there - BUG in audio announce - on a iPad Pro (10.5-inch) with iOS 16.2 it ONLY announces the first line of each section!!! I use it on my iPhone mounted to my yoke and it’s very quick to go through each section of the checklists. With the clickable button to check off items, there is basically no way to miss an item. I’ve looked at a lot of these types of apps and this is the absolute best. ### 5/5 — Clean and perfect for me *2025-07-14, version 2.17* The less is more principle applies, the application does what it’s required to do in a clean simple manner. Not overly designed with features no one ever asked for nor will ever use. Personally for me it provides checklists as I require them (yes everyone has their preferences and some will want more or less). I have it running on an iPad mini with slide over enabled. So when I’m approaching a requirement for a checklist I slide that list over my inflight navigation software. I also have the same lists on my iPhone as a secondary option.
