## What is FlightDesk GPS Simulator?

FlightDesk GPS Simulator lets you plan a virtual route on your iPhone or iPad and transmit simulated position and attitude data to ForeFlight over your local Wi-Fi network. It is made for ground practice, demonstrations, and learning simulation workflows. It does not change your device's system GPS location.

Create a route by placing waypoints on the map, or import a compatible FPL flight plan. Set speed and altitude, including climb and descent along the route. Preview the aircraft on the map, then play, pause, resume, stop, or move along the simulation timeline. Choose automatic attitude or adjust heading, pitch, and roll manually. You can export a flight plan when you decide to share it.

To receive simulated data, connect the device running FlightDesk and the device running ForeFlight to the same local network. Start the simulation in FlightDesk, then enable FlightDeskSim under More → Devices in ForeFlight. The online map uses OpenStreetMap tiles and needs an Internet connection; routes are handled locally unless you choose to export or share them.
