### 2/5 — Account ban

*2026-05-13, version 3.39.0*

Overall a good app but my account was banned for no reason

### 4/5 — Great study aid

*2024-12-23, version 3.3.1*

This program helps prepare you for the knowledge test. The reasons for three stars are that you must use an IPad. Charts, graphs and scales and not selectable with a pc or Android. Also, test scores are saved and not resettable, the final test cannot be taken multiple times.

That being said, I recommend this app only if you get the coupons. Don’t pay more than $100usd.

### 4/5 — Instrument Course

*2024-06-28*

App was extremely helpful and good performance until I paid for the upgrade. Now it’s very slow, and crashes a lot. I’ve tried reinstalling it and no luck.

### 2/5 — App glitches out of WiFi

*2022-07-29*

App glitches out of WiFi range and has to constantly redownload and sinc data which leads to a lot of time wasted. If you switch to use secondary e6b app, FlightReady freezes and will then have to reload, sync, and download again and all progress doing questions will be lost! App is great for wasting time while trying to be productive.

**Developer response:** Hello. I apologize for the issues you encountered downloading the course. The issue you describe is a limitation in iOS, and not something that we can address via the app. While downloading the course, you must leave the app open until the process completes.

### 2/5 — The app still crashes upon launch

*2020-11-26*

Left a review about a week ago and got a weird response back. While I was expecting a reply on how a patch was coming, I got instead a snarky remark on my low review. I pay for this app, I do expect some amount of gratitude and appreciation. I’ve used this app for my PPL and Instrument written, and I do love it, but I had my Commercial Written today and would’ve loved to have studied with this app. But again, upon launch it crashes, or it will crash within 30 seconds. So over to King Air, I guess. I’ll give a 2 star this time though, hopefully it satisfies your ego.

### 3/5 — Results are everything

*2020-10-02*

I used this app for my instrument ground school requirement. I thought the app itself is fantastic. Very easy to follow and the metrics provided were excellent.
However, the only thing that matters is the FAA test. I scored over 90 on my practice tests and knew the questions very well. I passed my FAA exam thankfully, but my score was much lower than my scores on the app practice tests. There were a number of questions on the FAA test that were not covered in the app.

### 1/5 — good price. Awful teachings

*2020-07-16*

The price for the course I took (drone basic ops) was very competitive from what I could tell and compare. Once you start the course you begin to see why. No videos, limited diagrams and god awful explanations. Overall I went through 10 hours of hell and I want my money back. A WARNING TO ALL DO NOT BUY ANY COURSES FROM THIS COMPANY

MESSAGE TO DEV RESPONSE: I do agree that I should not have gotten a refund but your clams of “100s of positive reviews beg to differ.” 1. My claims were accurate and true. 2. Your free trail glorifies the actual lessons and that’s why I bought it. 3. I had just finished the practice exam and now all my progress has been wiped to 3 days ago.

In all honesty I knew I was not able to get a refund and I don’t want one all I want is my progress to be restored and to do the final test from transport Canada.

Regards

-Bitter customer

**Developer response:** Months after purchasing the course, and after completing 90% of the lessons, you contacted us demanding a refund citing a lack of motivation to complete your licensing requirements. Your refund request made no mention of video, diagram, explanation quality, or any technical issues with app. We do issue refunds for mistaken purchases and technical issues, but you did not communicate any technical problems and had already completed 90% of the course. No progress was ever removed from your account.

### 2/5 — Question database way off

*2020-07-07*

Just took the instrument written exam today. Studied extensively with this App, almost every single question in the test was different and not in the practice database or the practice exams . Not sure where you guys are getting your question database from but this was no fun... waste of time studying with this

**Developer response:** The FAA stopped releasing its question bank to the public in 2003. There are a few hundred FAA questions in the public domain, but those questions were either released prior to 2004 or are one of the limited number of questions released in sample exams. It is highly unlikely that you will see many of those questions in an actual knowledge test.

Even if the questions were public, memorizing answers is not a good strategy for passing the knowledge test or checkride (or safely operating an aircraft).

That said, the students that we endorse for the FAA exam score in the mid 90s. All you need to do to ace the exam is complete our course.

### 5/5 — Awesome Drone school and affordable

*2020-05-05*

40 some years ago I pass the exam for a private pilot license with a score of 95 %. So I decided to take the Transport Canada Basic Drone exam without any form of study and needed to pass with a score of 65% or better. I scored 62 and could have retake the exam a day or two later.

I found Flight Ready School and will study for a few weeks then take the exam and will score really good. Next I will take the Advanced course and when my time is ok, I will take the reviewer license.

I strongly recommend Drone lovers to take the courses as they are low cost and filled with the knowledge you need to be in line with the laws.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2020-01-28, version 2.23.0*

No glitches and it is easy to use + it’s free

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Unjustified Account Ban – Completely Unacceptable!

*2026-08-05*

My account was suddenly banned for "Terms of Service violations" even though I did absolutely nothing wrong!
I have only ever logged in on one personal iPad—no shared accounts, no VPNs, and no automated tools. Your automated detection system made a mistake and is now severely disrupting my FAA exam preparation.
I have already emailed support with no proper resolution. Restate my account immediately, or REFUND MY MONEY for the IR and CPL courses since I haven't even touched them yet!
Terrible service. Think twice before spending your money on this app!

**Developer response:** Account restrictions are only applied after a human review confirms that our Terms of Service have been violated. We also provide an appeal process to consider any additional information submitted by the account holder. Purchases made through the App Store are billed by Apple, and any refund requests are handled by Apple.

### 1/5 — Banned account

*2026-05-13, version 3.39.0*

I did not share any account with anyone and banned my account with no reason?

### 1/5 — Customer support

*2026-04-22*

I purchased the premium private pilot exam prep online. I have logged in and out multiple times, both on my desktop and iPhone, and I still do not have access to the premium features. I sent an email to the customer support address on your website and I in turn received an auto reply telling me that mailbox is not monitored. There is no phone number for flight ready. I tried to phoning the parent company which is Aeroguard. That was even a bigger waste of time. Can someone please give me a way to contact your company to resolve this issue?

**Developer response:** We apologize for the auto-reply experience. That was the result of a technical issue with our support ticketing system that has since been resolved. We did respond to your email within 1 hour, confirmed via our logs that you had full access to premium test prep, and issued a full refund.

We are not affiliated with AeroGuard and do not have a parent company.

### 1/5 — Don’t bother submitting feedback

*2025-06-23, version 3.21.0*

Each question gives you the opportunity to provide feedback. Don’t bother clicking that link. I tried it once and just got back a litany of ultra-defensive, hostile nonsense.

### 1/5 — Totally not useful

*2023-08-31*

The app gives you questions after questions without supporting material to get prepared. I did better without this app. I downloaded the federal documents and proceeded from that to successfully complete my exam. I would not recommend to spend the money on this.

**Developer response:** Our test prep includes full explanations and the complete text of the applicable regulations. However, explanations are meant to address common errors in answering a specific questions and explain why the correct answer is correct. Explanations are not a substitute for a complete course, and test prep should only be used after a formal course of training. For those looking for a structured learning experience prior to test prep, we also offer a full ground school course.

### 1/5 — Not downloading

*2022-10-21*

This app is not working properly. The app installed correctly. But when you open the app. It wants you to download what course you are interested in. But it gets to 90% downloaded and stops. SMH Update: I left honest review and now I have received a email threatening me to remove my review. Or be sued. We’ll bring it on. Cause I’m entitled to my opinion.

**Developer response:** The app is indeed working properly. The app does not include percentage loading indicator, however, it includes a progress bar, along with text that communicates each step in the course install process.

After the initial step of downloading the course, the progress bar stops momentarily. When that occurs, there is text that changes from "Downloading" to "Installing", during which time the app is unzipping and installing the course. This process takes approximately 30 seconds, but it may take a bit longer on older devices since it is dependent on processing power.

We would appreciate you updating review after you give it another shot with the above information.

### 1/5 — Wretched interface

*2021-04-08*

I’m locked out of the app because of the interface. The “submit” button is blocked by the keyboard, which is rather infuriating. The fact that it even requires you to input a password so frequently is absurd, considering it’s just a study aid, and not exactly a critical encrypted document database.

They get you hooked in and then don’t support their program. There are only frequently asked questions on their support page.

You should keep looking to find the right study tool.

**Developer response:** A login is not required every time you use the app. Once a user logs in, the user remains logged in unless he or she logs out. If you are being asked to log in repeatedly then there is an issue with your account or installation. However, you did not contact us so we have no way of troubleshooting and fixing it.

It is not true that our support page only has frequently asked questions. On the menu on that FAQs page there is a Contact button, and we generally respond within minutes during normal business hours.

### 1/5 — Worst app ever

*2021-02-24, version 2.39.1*

I just downloaded this app and it wont let me set up an account. It keeps saying that the domain of my email is invalid! Yea... its a really unusual one: @ gmail.com. Struggled with it for 15 minutes. I have wasted enough time. Now to delete this !!

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time

*2020-09-01, version 2.36.0*

This app is missing a ton of information. Don’t waste your time, get Gleim or Shepherd.

### 1/5 — Don’t make a bad decision

*2020-08-31, version 2.36.0*

Do NOT even think about using this app! There are far better options available to use for training than the flight ready apps.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best app

*2026-07-02, version 3.48.0*

I use this app quite a bit and I’m using it to train myself

### 5/5 — Excellent ground school

*2025-12-24*

I’ve used this app for both my PPL and Instrument. Passed both with ease thanks to flight ready.

**Developer response:** Thank you for using our courses! Please contact us for a discount code when you are ready for your commercial.

### 5/5 — Best over the other prep apps

*2024-05-18*

I used Flight ready for my private pilot written test prep which was two weeks prior getting the app and when I did the actual test it was a walk over with 93%, i’m using it for my instrument written test, I mean these questions train you for the best results when u get to do the FAA test it’s a walk over

**Developer response:** Congratulations on your outstanding 93% on the private pilot written test! 🎉 We’re thrilled to hear that Flight Ready made the test feel like a “walk over” for you. It’s fantastic that you’re now using it for your instrument written prep—we’re confident it will continue to be a valuable resource.

Our goal is to help pilots feel prepared and confident for their exams, and it’s rewarding to know the app is making such a positive impact for you. Thank you for sharing your success story, and we wish you the best of luck on your instrument written test.

### 5/5 — Very Good App

*2023-11-27*

I don’t ever write review on apps but this app is exceptional! I have been using the free version for the practice questions for the PPL for a while now and they have been so helpful improving my scores each time. I am so impressed by how well made the app is I will now be purchasing the full ground school version for the PPL and probably other licenses further down the line!

### 5/5 — Piloting

*2022-02-26*

Updating every week with new and better questions better graphics and outstanding test taking preparedness options
you actually see what areas you have are weak and where you were strong and you can focus where you need review

**Developer response:** Thank you for using our app, and for the feedback!

### 5/5 — Excellent resource for Part 107

*2022-02-15, version 2.50.0*

I viewed many YouTube courses and videos preparing for the 107 exam. Found a lot of discontinuity and conflicting outdated info. Finally decided to try FlightReadys program, was reasonably priced and available across all of my devices. Found the material to be very detailed, well structured and provided a foundational background into Part 107. Actually more detailed then it needed to be, but I undoubtedly they took material from their part 61 material. Nonetheless the questions were similar and in some cases the same as the exam. In summary, was happy with the material and was my primary prep tool, allowing me to get a 93, although Was disappointed I didn’t do better as I felt well prepared going in.

### 5/5 — Best exam prep

*2021-04-02*

I bought this app after getting my endorsement to take my exam from another ground school, however I felt under educated to pass the exam. This app is a great study guide and has very intelligent features to track your progress. I will definitely be getting the IFR version when the time comes. I passed my written with a 97%.

### 5/5 — RPAS Basic: Highly Recommend

*2020-12-08*

Test score 94%. Passed with “ flying “ colours.

I went through the course material slowly answering/reviewing all the questions. Then I wrote the Transport Canada exam. I finished the 90 minute exam in 40 minutes with a passing score of 94%.

The course detail goes beyond what you need to pass the basic exam. I figure the course material covered about 30 of the 35 questions on the RPAS Basic Exam ensuring a passing grade. I answered the other 5 questions using a combination of google search and common sense.

Only negative is that I may have acquired too much knowledge. Then again knowledge is power. I feel so powerful now.

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2020-10-06, version 2.36.3*

Amazing how they keep it up to date with new questions as well I scored a 91 on my instrument written with the help from this app

### 5/5 — Excelent Learning Tool

*2020-09-11, version 2.36.0*

After reviewing the app came to the conclusion that this is an excellent way of learning for my Commercial and Instrument Rating.
