### 4/5 — Great E6B! Some UI suggestions...

*2019-09-09*

As a student pilot who is almost a PPL this app seems to cover everything I need. I do have some interface suggestions, though: 1.) A tab or enter key would be useful instead of the keyboard hide key. This way I can keep my finger near the bottom of the screen (on a iPhone XR) instead of having to move up and down the screen to move between data entry fields. And 2.) Move the keypad up a few pixels so that one doesn’t accidentally swipe up when using the bottom row of keys.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the helpful feedback. We added navigation keys to the keyboard, and adjusted the keyboard to avoid issues on FaceID devices. These changes, along with other new functionality, are available in version 1.8.0 of the app.

### 4/5 — Just what I was looking for!

*2018-08-25*

I am a former PP, but no longer fly due to Diabetes. The only thing I have left is my flight sim (X-Plane 11). I had long ago sold all my flight equipment, including my Sporty’s E6B. One thing I really missed was being able to quickly calculate the T.O.D.. Yes, I could have done that with a few simple calculations, but sometime with ATC (AVSIM) chattering in your ear, it’s nice to have good tool to do the work for you! Love the app so far! Thanks!

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2018-02-24*

Definitely worth the cost!! Get app full of useful features.

### 4/5 — Easy to use

*2018-02-13, version 1.5.2*

Easy to use app

### 5/5 — Several tools in this app will get used daily

*2017-09-28*

I think this app has everything I need. Tools for figuring top of decent with wind could use tweaking because I would like to be able to put any known variable in and have it give me the unknown (it's possible I needed to dig deeper for one of the other tools). The time calculator will make catching up on my logbook a breeze! For 99c this is a must have from GA to Airline, there are things in this package for all pilots.

### 5/5 — Excellent app.

*2017-09-28*

This is the best aviation calculator from those that I tried so far from the app store. It has a clear and simple user interface with large numeric keyboard, and intuitive menu for selecting functions. It also has a nice selection of functions beyond what you find in a traditional calculator. For example planning of descent rate.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. You can change units when using any function (e.g., Plan Leg) by tapping on the units label (e.g., MPH) then selecting a new unit (e.g., knots). On the issue with true vs magnetic wind, I would need a specific example to address your concern.

### 5/5 — Wind Correction Angle?

*2017-09-20, version 1.4.2*

Can’t calculate wind correction angle or true course with this app.

### 5/5 — Best Flight Computer Ever

*2017-08-18*

User friendly and super easy to use! Saves a lot of time during flight planning.

### 5/5 — The only aviation calculator you need

*2017-07-05, version 1.4.2*

This simple, easy to use calculator is the only one I'll keep in my flight bag. It does all the important calculations including the all important true altitude calculation (super important if you fly in the mountains during winter). The interface couldn't be simpler to use and all the different calculators are at your finger tips. No small thing if you're trying to do calculations while flying. The app will do anything a wiz wheel can, just faster and easier. Absolutely fantastic.

### 5/5 — Nice

*2017-02-05*

I've tried most of the others, and this is the best E6B by far. Incredibly easy to use. I like how units can be changed in the function without having to go to the settings.

### 5/5 — Really great

*2016-09-23, version 1.4.2*

Beat app ever it's really great a made my life and flying easier

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Pop ups

*2022-10-18*

Trying to use this app and every time I back up it asks me to review the app! Brutal. Oh and the review requires a nickname and all have been taken, 6 attempts so far! Seriously

**Developer response:** Did leaving a negative review stop the prompts and resolve the user ID issue on the App Store?

If you had contacted us, we would have informed you that Apple controls when and how often in-app review prompts are displayed. Developers have no control over that. Apple also controls the App Store, and developers can't fix issues like the App Store repeatedly asking you to create a username to leave reviews.

We would also have informed you that you can disable in-app review prompts by opening the Settings app, selecting - App Store -> Scroll to bottom -> then disable In-App Ratings and Reviews.

As far as the issue with your username on the App Store, you can contact Apple at https://www.apple.com/contact/

### 1/5 — Bad

*2017-04-12, version 1.4.2*

Does not download. All the good reviews are fake.

### 2/5 — Gmu

*2019-04-21, version 1.6.0*

Would be great to be more exact with seconds

### 3/5 — No way to calculate TAS or CAS

*2020-02-19, version 1.7.3*

The app has some good features but found it impossible to calculate TAS if other factors are known, like: GS, TC, WDIR, WSPD, PALT etc.

### 3/5 — Fuel computation crashing

*2016-07-24, version 1.4.2*

A fairly good app with the exception for the constant crashing of the fuel computing functions

### 4/5 — Calculation problem?

*2022-11-29*

Update: Reply received from the developer. Great to hear from them and no idea why I didn’t receive the original reply they say they sent. This review and reply process is poorly designed (by Apple) … but that’s a separate issue.

Updated to 4 stars because it’s a well designed app that is very easy to use and the reply is appreciated. Kudos for that.

The issue with no guidelines or instructions provided remains. The vast majority of the functionality in the app is perfectly straight forward. If you can use a real life manual e6b this will be a no brainer. This is faster and usually easier. It’s a pretty good app. But the lack of any user manual makes a couple key calculations either very difficult to verify or too easy to use incorrectly (and receive the wrong output as a result).

For the record, I understand the calculations well enough to do them manually with paper and pencil. A user quick guide would likely solve any remaining confusion. Or at least allow verification of accuracy.

**Developer response:** Hi Jonathan,

We received your email at 10:13 AM on November 6, and replied at 4:17 PM that same day.

The true altitude function is in fact accurate. As stated in the app description, we use the correct scientific formulas for all functions. Other E6Bs often rely on rules of thumb and tables that provide reasonable approximations.

### 4/5 — No Seconds??

*2020-09-14*

I like this app. Clean and it remembers values set throughout the different views

However, I’m disappointed that any time measurements (distance over time, etc) only has HH:MM and will not include seconds.

Despite the top review from 2 years ago mentioning this, it’s still not added. Disappointing for a $10 app.

**Developer response:** Hello, thank you for your feedback. We added seconds to time fields in all functions in version 1.8.0 of the app. Tap on the unit label to change between HH:MM, HH:MM:SS, and decimal time.

### 4/5 — Well laid out but just one point to improve

*2020-07-12*

The app is well laid out and easy to understand and determine flight plan information. I do with the flight “Time” calculation determines exact Leg Time in seconds like on some other calculators because when doing some cross country flight plans, those seconds could result in small fuel consumption calculation discrepancies that could add up.

**Developer response:** Hello, thank you for your feedback. We added seconds to time fields in all functions in version 1.8.0 of the app. Tap on the unit label to change between HH:MM, HH:MM:SS, and decimal time.

### 4/5 — Good app

*2020-01-30*

I really like this app, but you should be able to insert magnetic course into the “heading and groundspeed” section

### 4/5 — App crashing

*2019-09-15*

In latest version , the new extra function is not work already , while you touch the that part of functions the app goes crash and you have run again....

**Developer response:** This issue has been fixed in version 1.7.1

### 5/5 — Low work load

*2022-10-07*

Love this app use it on my iPad 10.2. Much faster, and way less workload in cockpit then regular electronic flight computer and way better then spinning the wheel and struggling to read it. So that makes for a safer flight.

### 5/5 — Saved me a lot of time!

*2022-08-29*

Love this flight computer. Extremely user friendly and awesome!

### 5/5 — Top free

*2021-12-27, version 1.9.0*

Top free calculator so far

### 5/5 — E6B

*2021-05-25, version 1.8.5*

This is THE BEST APP!!! Great design and very easy to use. Satisfaction guaranteed!!!
Thank you very much!!!

### 5/5 — Nice E6B

*2020-09-30, version 1.8.0*

A nice E6B. Developer is responsive and works to update and maintain app long term.

### 5/5 — Pressure conversion

*2018-12-05*

Love this app. Only problem I have encountered is pressure conversions are not precise. When converting from Pa to inHg, inHg gets rounded to the nearest whole number. This is the same from mbar to inHg. e.g. 1012 mbar, which is also 1012 hPa, rounds to 30 inHg. This app is probably one of my favorite tools right now but I have started to question and triple check all of the values it gives me. To see this corrected would make this app more reliable and very highly valued.

**Developer response:** It looks like you have the numerical precision set to zero decimal places. You can change the numerical precision by tapping Settings and selecting either 0, .1, .01, or .001 for the decimals.

### 5/5 — Needs just one thing

*2018-04-21*

I love the app already, I would just appreciate it so much if displayed times could also include seconds, at least as an optional setting.

Recently during training my CFI simulated loss of ILS, VOR and DME during an approach on a simulator session. I know normally you just notify tower and request visual but for the purpose of learning something new he had me continue the approach using an NDB station as reference for how many miles out I was and with calculate the time until I was exactly over the point where you initiate descent. (The NDB is aligned with the runway and yes we still use NDB in my country sadly).

Anyway, seconds are critical when dealing with such short distances and my CFI is not the kind of guy to just accept “1 min” over “1 min 30 seconds”.

**Developer response:** Hi ZombieCOD, we’ve added HH:MM:SS as an option to HH:MM and decimal time in all functions. Just tap the units label next to the time field to switch. Please let us know if we missed anything, and thank you for using our app.

### 5/5 — Best program ever

*2018-04-17, version 1.5.2*
