## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — A colossal step backwards

*2026-03-02, version 2.3.1*

It's bad enough that they don't print the books anymore, but now with this update, you cannot even have the downloads when not online. That the app cannot even be opened without first logging in is inexplicable. I would rate it negative stars if I could.

### 1/5 — Fix “keep me logged in”

*2026-01-02, version 2.3.0*

App will not stay logged in. Forced to re log in each time the app is used. Don’t provide a “keep me logged in” option if it won’t keep me logged in!

### 1/5 — Not for Iphones

*2024-07-11*

This version can be used for Iphones BUT many of the materials in my "flight bag" will not work on an iphone and will only work on an Ipad. Eg, test flash cards and video's. Be warned.

### 1/5 — App Won’t load

*2023-10-30, version 2.2.1*

Stuck in “productivity” mode on multiple devices.

### 1/5 — Purged Documents

*2023-10-15, version 2.2.1*

I updated my FS app and my flight manuals were all purged.

### 1/5 — Worst login

*2023-06-19, version 2.1.2*

Forced sign out every time the app closes. Iphone cannot paste saved user login information in the flightsafety app.
All login information must be manually input everytime app is used.
Zero Stars

### 1/5 — Nothing but issues

*2023-03-30, version 2.1.1*

Can’t access any of my info or training materials. Support is marginal at best. With the amount of money spent on training printed materials should be provided. Time to look for a new training provider.

### 1/5 — Jitters when scrolling

*2022-12-24, version 2.1.1*

Course search and locations stutters when scrolling. I have the latest iPhone 14 Pro Max, so it’s not my phone. Also feels like a website more than an iphone app. Feels cheap. It’s nice everything is in one place but I downloaded the app because I like iphone apps. I dont like iphone apps that are really just websites

### 2/5 — App refresh so frustrating

*2026-05-08, version 2.3.3*

This app constantly refreshes which forces your open docs to close. Very frustrating and time consuming, especially when you’re using multiple references in class.

### 2/5 — Much worse than before

*2026-03-18, version 2.3.3*

The FSI app was always great… being able to access the data while enroute. This was very important because when an issue arises during a flight, the ability to access aircraft documentation is extremely important. Unfortunately with the recent updates, access requires frequent logging in… which is impossible if airborne (on an airplane without WiFi). Today, while serving as a crew member, we had a failure of part of the pitch trim system. I initially was able to access the app, but when trying to view a subsequent document on the app to follow up with the failure, the FSI App locked me out (requiring login). This is extremely frustrating and makes the app useless.

## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Absolutely Awesome, Very Well Done.

*2023-03-14, version 2.1.1*

FlightSafety has a group of pro’s that built this app. Someone told me they are referred to as “Area 51”, and I can see why. They really knocked it out of the park this time. Seamless integration, great user interface, the app is logical and makes sense. I could not as for more.

Nice job “Area 51”!

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2020-06-01, version 1.0.1*

Simple app easy to navigate.

### 4/5 — Update hurts access

*2026-01-12*

You could previously access the app when off line (for example airborne) to read downloaded references. The current version no longer allows that.

### 3/5 — Update hurts access

*2026-01-27, version 2.3.1*

You could previously access the app when off line (for example airborne) to read downloaded references. The current version no longer allows that. This gets extremely aggravating when trying to look something up while flying or other times where internet access is not available.

### 3/5 — Decent App — Shouldn’t have to CONSTANTLY Sign In

*2026-01-16, version 2.3.1*

Every time I leave the app it is required to sign back in. The “keep me signed in” check box must be a joke in their programming department.

### 3/5 — Overall good but search function freezes app

*2022-08-12*

The app works well except for searching any document. The app basically freezes and you have to kill the app to get the app to function again. This only seemed to occur in landscape mode on an iPad Air.

### 2/5 — Could use better tech support

*2023-04-30, version 2.1.1*

I couldn’t download current training material. Took several days to get tech support to respond. Their solution was to remove the app and reinstall. That didn’t fix the problem. On my own, since tech support was unavailable, I discovered the problem to be my VPN. Turning off the VPN allows for document download.

### 2/5 — Kills battery life

*2023-03-25, version 2.1.1*

The app is ok. I’ve had to log in twice in the sim because it logged me out for some reason. Can you make it so we stay logged in for the duration of an initial please? Also this app KILLS battery life…the developer needs to fix this ASAP!
