Not long ago I purchased the “paid” app for one year, since I loved it so much and didn’t want the ads. Now that they changed the format, it has been TERRIBLE. I continually try to contact support for feedback and suggestions but every email fails to send and gets kicked back to me. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring these 2 features back to the app: 1) When searching a flight, the ability to flip-flop departure and arrival airports has gone away. This is a must have feature. 2) No more inbound flight information 😱 This is valuable and needs to be added back as well! 3) I’ve also noticed when searching for a flight and one doesn’t exist, it is much, much slower to generate the “no flights exist for this route”message. PLEASE MAKE THIS APP GREAT AGAIN!!!! 🇺🇸 ### 2/5 — Am I a paid subscriber or not? *2026-08-21, version 5.0.13* I pay the subscription for this app through the App Store. For several months now I’ve been dealing with advertising. That’s only supposed to be on the free app. When I submit a complaint to the app developer I get an automated email message that v.5 has issues and they are being addressed. This is the same message I got when submitting the same complaint several months ago. I think it’s time to find another flight app. ### 2/5 — Commercials Delux Apple must be low on capital. *2026-08-20, version 5.0.13* Most every app is interrupted either a 30s to a 3 minute commercial. My daughter needed info regarding a trip. And now I cannot delete flights by swiping them. Flight Stats app might work for you instead. ### 4/5 — Finally!!! *2026-08-02, version 5.0.13* I am updating my review as of August 2, 2026. Today I am tracking a return flight to Boston from Athens. Finally in the trip list it tells the actual status such as scheduled, in air, or delayed. The flight says it's in air good! Then when you go inside, it tells you that it has so many hours to go and when it will land. Great! And I actually did finally get a sound notification which I hadn't been getting before. When I first opened the app, the flight had already been in the air for five hours and no matter how much I tapped on the update for the map it still showed the plane sitting in Athens, but later on it caught up with things. I hope that isn't going to happen all the time, but it seems like most things have been fixed and thank God because no other layout of any other program is as easy to use as this app. It's just that for some reason for a long time they weren't fixing the things that weren't working so hopefully it will continue to improve and I still wish we could see the map before the plane takes off. ### 1/5 — Updated app is a major step backwards *2026-08-02, version 5.0.13* This was a great app but after the update it’s almost useless and much more difficult to use. But lately, it has not been reliable. Status on saved flights gets updated too late, and notifications just stopped working. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2026-07-31, version 5.0.13* I’ve been using FlightView for over 10 years, but this latest update is honestly terrible. There are way too many ads, the app is slow to load, and the flight map often won’t load until after the flight has already taken off. Even then, the map may still not load at all. After using this app for more than a decade, I’m seriously considering switching to another flight-tracking app. This update has made the experience frustrating and nearly unusable. ### 4/5 — Not receiving Alerts *2026-07-23, version 5.0.13* Update: Alerts are sporadic. I have verified notification settings and still no alert. Very disappointed. I have really enjoyed the experience using the app but recently I have not been receiving alerts. I tracked multiple international trips and appreciated how responsive and useful this app was; now I’ve lost all of my historical trips and can’t even log a simple domestic flight. I have no idea what the devs were thinking, all the recent updates have been absolutely awful. All past flights and home airport is gone. Stupid to have to deal with this when you can use flightaware online, ad free, free to use as you want. If you try to add a flight that is missing data (I.e. no arrival data), you don’t get an error - the app crashes. And what’s worse is the support email box doesn’t exist, so messages get bounced. Prior to update—— I had the same disappointment as everyone with this app not working. I received an email to create an account online. Now when the app ask to login, I did. Whenever I do the app crashes. Ive relied on this app for years and all I was told was to wait for an update. Waiting for over a month. Fails to save trips, you NEVER receive notifications from saved fights and now the app constantly restarts while using it. Each update makes it far worse. To top it off you have a lot of nerve charging for this app!!! If you don’t pay you get constant ads popping up that you can’t clear without force restarting the app. Just to have it happen again. Once you update it and make it worse, you then REFUSE you fix what you broke. I noticed it was recently updated so I thought I’d give it another try. Well, everything seems to be working fine; in fact, I tracked a recent flight using this app, another flight tracker, and the airline’s own app. With all the settings the same, Flightview was the fastest to display changes to the flight, and the only one to consistently send alerts to my phone. It worked great. The new one is a POS. I need to manually correct the times when the app adds a flight to my iPhone calendar. Every single time. As of today I can’t create a ‘Trip’ for all my 2026 flights, the To Calendar date stops at 12/29/2026. Will this be a future fix? Also, could you display the most recent flights first?
