Additionally, when I am attempting to make a text cover image in landscape mode, the text squishes together and there are no ways to fix it, other than to switch into portrait mode. As one can likely tell, this is immensely infuriating, and I frequently feel an immense amount of wrath prepare to emerge while recording things on this app. Please fix this. Also, please add in the countdown timer before starting a video that is available on the web version. It would save me some time by preventing me from having to delete around 1 second of footage of when I was preparing. **Developer response:** Hello, thank you for your rating and review on Flip. Thank you! ### 2/5 — Not bad but i get insanely frustrated *2024-01-10* I have to upload a video for a school project. The uploading process takes way too long and whenever my laptop closes or goes to sleep by itself the upload will say it's taking too long and I need to re-upload it and if the video has 1080p resolution with something like 60fps and high quality, it takes an insanely long amount of time to upload. My video was like that, but my video wouldn't upload at all it would just keep saying it took too long and you need to retry. this is super frustrating to me because I'm trying to get the project in on time and the fact that this app takes this long to upload a four minute video is insane. Apps like TikTok or Snapchat do not take that long for videos to upload even if it's a 10 minute video like on TikTok. I I've uploaded 10 minute videos before and they did not take more than five minutes to upload that usually took 2 to 3 minutes but I've been waiting over seven minutes from a video to upload. Thank you, hope you have a great day! ### 3/5 — Maybe I like filp grid maybe not it’s really bad. *2023-05-05* Flip grid is really good app with emojis and any kind of stuff. I don’t like flip grid at all, because it has bugs and also needs to be re-fixed. The backgrounds are laggy they show the stuff behind you. I think that may has to be un-laggy, just in case nothing shows but just the background, I don’t like the cameras either, it chooses the time for you and I would like it if it had a minute timer chooser, like 10 minutes or 5 or 4 and hours or seconds, I also hate the vidoes, the videos that my class makes my friends there laggy the vidoes are super laggy, it goes like in sounds, and the items you like get to move and size won’t WORK AT ALL , when you try to size it doesn’t work that you have to use all your pressure in. The movement for the emoji doesn’t work either. I doesn’t have anything special about it either, LOL Sorry that you have to read this but I love your creativity but has to fixed, ### 4/5 — Started out great and ended awful but not so bad *2023-02-06, version 13.2.3* Hi I am Caylee and I am 7 in a half i really loved flipgrid❤️ it is so cool me and my step sister Raelynn made videos a couple times I had to delete flip grid because sometimes I had to refresh my iPad and it would sometimes take me right out so me and Raelynn were making a Barbie video a Elsa and Anna from frozen video and a baby video the next day I got hacked by someone when I had to delete it again and I was putting in my password and it said my password was changed 25 hours ago I am not sure if I got hacked but I think I did my grandmother told me that I had to be careful what I’m posting when I told her I got hacked on flip grid and my grandmother also told me to delete it ### 3/5 — Not great, but not bad… Here’s why *2022-05-30, version 11.1.6* ; This was made an auto correct, So flip grid is spelled as in two words ; OK, to be honest, flip grid is not that bad. There’s nothing really special about it so that’s why I’m writing this comment, just to tell you that there’s nothing special. There are some major and minor bug fixes but it’s not that bad, I just don’t like how the creator can like control everything, I understand they do that so a person doesn’t destruct everything, but if you need to, just delete them and undo what they did!!! Again, there are minor and major bug fixes which really annoys me. It’s not SUPER DUPER bad, but you can get extremely annoying at times. Sometimes, I just rage and exit the app. I like how you can make thumbnails and items like that when you post videos and you can name it and make a description! But, I really wish that The videos don’t have to be under a certain amount of time… it is also really hard to edit your video so please work on that flip grid! My teachers used Flipgrid to help us communicate online! We used it to say goodbye to friends who are moving away and use them for assignments! Another thing I love about flipgrid is that your fellow classmates or teachers can put a comment on your post. It is easy to do a response because you can do a video response! But class work is not the only thing you can do on it! You can use it to communicate with friends and make videos to talk or share things that are going on! I also love that it works for iPads because a lot of my stuff doesn’t work because I am on an iPad, but at least I get to do thing on Flipgrid! ### 1/5 — I truly WISH I could say this is good. *2020-11-17, version 9.2.2* So yesterday my teacher assigned a Flipgrid for science class, and all of my classmates got excited right away, because our teacher knows how much we all like TikTok, and this app was just like it, but educational. I was too excited, because the last time I did it, it worked perfectly. However, today I was doing my video, and when I was ready to upload, it was taking forever to load, and I noticed it said, “low internet connection.” So I knew where I was had lower internet connection, so I decided to resume the process for when I got back to my house. So I cancel the upload, and I notice that ALL OF MY PROGRESS WHEN GONE. In all of my TWO HOURS of footage, GONE. JUST LIKE THAT. I was so furious that I would recommend not to download this, because it’s frustratingly stupid, slow, and annoying that I have to deal with such a dumb, low quality app. Call me impatient, but it’s highly true. ### 4/5 — A few problems... *2020-10-25, version 9.1.2* So, I downloaded the app for reasons, but I have encountered a few problems. So I use the app quite a lot, but it crashes on me, I don’t know why, I updated it and my iPad and I am ALWAYS connected to my WiFi, so it could not possibly be that. Another problem is that when ever I want to post a video, I already make it in my videos, but it does not let me upload things from my photos or videos. It’s really annoying cause I can’t edit the video how I want it to so please fix this bug. I know alit of people have said this already but it’s really slow. But now I will say a few things that I really like the app. It has some pretty great tools for editing and things like trimming your videos and adding text. It also has it is that you can add cute little photos. It’s also very organized. So over all I really like the app! :) ### 3/5 — It’s okay *2020-09-29, version 9.0.5* I like that it has many features. However, some things are confusing to do. On computer, it fails to upload sometimes. On mobile, it glitches when I use a board. My main problem is when I try to edit the videos and upload it. I have no way of making sure the right one was uploading. For example, I sent something for class. I spent over 3 hourd editing it, but the next day, when my teacher posted them, I saw mine and NONE of the edits saved. Maybe if there was a way to see your video after you upload or have a specific “SAVE” button after you make edits and before you upload. Additionally there could be an option “Are you sure you want to delete this clip?”. There could be a reverse button too in case you want that clip back. It’s a good app but needs improvements. ### 1/5 — from the students perspective... *2020-09-11, version 9.0.3* I can see how this app is supposed to be helpful in learning but from a students perspective it’s more stressful than helpful. From reading these reviews most teachers love this app while the students dislike it. This is probably because it’s very nerve-racking to have to post a video of yourself for your entire class to see. It makes students very uncomfortable and anxious. I think that if there was an option as to who is allowed to view your video it would make this app 10x better. I’m hoping someone will listen to this suggestion and make it so that you can choose to have only your teacher be allowed to watch your videos.
