FlipStudy is a fast, private flashcard app for students and language learners.

Create a deck, add cards, and study with a simple flip-and-rate flow that uses spaced repetition (a Leitner box system) to bring back the cards you miss more often — so you spend your time on what you haven't learned yet.

Scanning a page is much better in this update:

• Scan a vocabulary list and FlipStudy keeps the pairs the page already gives you — "Good morning - Buongiorno" becomes a card exactly as written, and the language is recognized for you.
• Pages are now read in the language they are written in, so Italian, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese and Chinese words come through spelled correctly instead of being garbled.
• A question that runs across several lines is now read as one question, so cards come out whole instead of cut in half.
• Busy pages make more cards — up to 24 — so the bottom of a worksheet is not left behind.
• Each new photo replaces the last one instead of piling up, and stray text like the clock and battery is left off your cards.

This update introduces on-device AI to help you build decks faster:

- Type a subject and instantly generate a flashcard deck around it.
- Scan pages from a book or handout and turn them directly into question-and-answer cards.

• Speaking practice — see the front of a card, say the answer
  aloud, and FlipStudy listens and suggests a grade. Grading is
  lenient (accents, case, and punctuation don't count) and you
  always make the final call. Prefer tapping? Flip and grade
  yourself as before.

• Hear the answer — the translation side is read aloud in its own
  voice, with the language detected automatically.

• Sentence starters — a new deck style built from the most common
  openers ("I want…", "Can you…", "Where is…"), the same basics in
  every language, plus AI-generated extras.

• Study reminders — schedule a reminder in your Reminders app so
  you don't forget to come back.

Everything still runs on-device by default — no account, no
tracking, nothing leaves your phone.
