Touch points are poorly designed, iOS design guides ignored, inconsistent behaviour and plain internal state bugs. Flur either does not have their software development process in control or they are not paying enough attention to it. So sad… and please, I am not your testing and quality control department so spare telling me I should file bug reports. Versatz von etwa 10% der Kantenerkennung im realen Foto zu dem thermalen Foto ist einfach nicht akzeptabel für ein Gerät für über 400 Euro. Größe der Texte lässt sich nicht kleiner machen oder bei Position abwählen. Das FLIR Logo darf auch kleiner zu wählen sein. Macht man Skala an und alle Texte mit ein paar Positionen ist die Hälfte des Bildes verdeckt. Fazit: im Jahr 10 der App fehlt es doch stark an Verbesserung der Kantenerkennung zum thermalen Bild und an Einstellungen. **Developer response:** Hallo, wir entschuldigen uns für die entstandenen Unannehmlichkeiten. The app needs to clearly state which FLIR devices it supports. Ideally update to find devices that are plugged into the iPhone. ### 1/5 — Stream doesn’t work *2023-10-16, version 2.5.3* The stream function doesn’t work. I’m up to date on both the app and firmware on the camera. It also seems to have no way to connect to ignite. What’s the point of having a cloud based system if you can’t actually use it with your mobile device. They make great cameras but their software is truly awful. ### 1/5 — What the heck happened to this app? *2023-09-19, version 2.5.3* You have just made the camera useless with this app. ### 1/5 — No control anymore *2023-05-28, version 2.5.0* No one will use it anymore without remote control. ### 1/5 — App will not connect to camera C5 *2023-05-27, version 2.5.0* I tried deleting/resetting and all the above to get this app to work with my C5 Cx and one time it showed that the app saw my camera on the network and then when I tried to connect it said connection timed out for 60sec. This needs a revamp. ### 4/5 — FLIR *2023-05-13, version 2.4.1* Simple to utilize in the field with the iPad streaming live video using the thermal camera. I also use with the MR55 moisture meter. The only draw back with that is it’s no feature to capture the actual reading other than screenshots from your iPhone or iPad. I’m sure some improvements can be made and look forward to new updates. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Won’t connect to FLIR DEVICE *2026-01-11* iPhone and FLIR are on the same network, and discovery never sees it. When I enter the IP address, it says device not found. Even tried what the app suggests and joined the FLIR to my iPhone Hotspot… same thing. Also tried after turning off the firewall in the FLIR. There is no way to save or delete pictures en masse, it must now be individual picture by picture. The select, all function selects all photos, and provides no other option to share, save, or delete the photos. This makes the select all function useless. Don’t believe what they say about surviving a 2 meter drop. Mine hit the floor one time from 1 meter and stopped working. My old C3 cameras worked nearly flawlessly being able to transfer photos from the camera to my iPad. Those cameras died, one within 1 year the other after 2 years. I’m now using a 4th camera. The FLIR app doesn’t communicate with the C5 camera. FLIR needs to hire somebody that can clean up the communication mess. I’ve been dealing with this for about six months now, I have called customer service. They have been useless simply referring me to download the app again. I have done this twice with no results. I have used their cameras for 10 years and have seen the decline in quality and service. I don’t recommend the cameras. **Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. Frustrating that they removed the functionality. And the USB-C to phone connection also doesn’t work either. (FLIRThermalSDKAdapter.CameraConnectionError error 2) Cannot get images off the 3500$ flir camera ### 1/5 — App used to work well. *2024-05-11* For some reason, my app now has a hard time “seeing” the camera to sync up with it. Once I go through several on/cycles of the camera, the app and my phones WiFi, it connects. By when I download all the images off the camera, it freezes in the import window. When I back out, it doesn’t have all the mages intended. To download. Figured the app needed updating but there’s no update available. Very frustrated as this is not a toy. The Mac OS equivalent App is quite capable too but suffers that it is not easy to import photos from FLIR One.
