Before the system prompt the button now reads "Continue". If camera access was previously denied, it changes to "Open settings" and links to the Settings app, per your guidance to use neutral wording such as "Continue"/"Next". • The camera purpose string now describes all of its uses (scanning QR codes to join an event, and capturing photos and videos). The microphone purpose string states that it records audio while taking videos. The in-app messaging, the system permission dialogs, and the actual usage now match. • This build introduces photo-library access for the new import feature described below, and its priming screen follows the same pattern: a neutral "Continue" before the system prompt, and "Open settings" once access has been denied. On iOS "Selected Photos" (limited) access, the app works normally and offers a "Select more" control that re-opens the system picker rather than pressing the user for full access. This build also includes the following user-facing improvements: • You can now add existing photos and videos from your library to an event, not just newly captured ones. Live Photos keep their motion clip. The picker opens filtered to the event's own dates so unrelated personal photos aren't surfaced to a shared album, with all photos one tap away. Items you've already added are marked so they aren't added twice. • Uploads now continue reliably in the background and resume where they left off, rather than restarting or failing if the app is backgrounded or interrupted mid-transfer. • Video recording is now capped at one minute per clip, with a progress ring around the shutter and a haptic when the limit is reached, so the recording length is always clear. • Photos and videos now appear in the event feed the instant they're captured, instead of only after the upload finishes, and they no longer briefly disappear while uploading. • You can open and play a photo or video you just captured right away, even while it's still uploading, with an "Uploading…" indicator until it's saved to the shared event. • The library picker now groups items by the day they were taken, with a pinned date header and a "Select all" control for each day. You can pinch to change how many items fit across the screen, drag the scroll bar on the right to move through the library by date, and press and hold a thumbnail for a larger preview before choosing it. Chosen items appear as a thumbnail row above the Add button and can be removed from there. • Event invites are now shareable as an ordinary web link. The share sheet sends an https://flock.pics/join/ link instead of a custom-scheme URL, so it is tappable in Messages and other apps rather than appearing as plain text. The event QR code encodes the same link, so it can be scanned with the built-in Camera app as well as the in-app scanner. The link opens the event in Flock if the app is installed, or a download page if it isn't. JOINING AN EVENT • Paste your code in one tap You can now tap "Paste code" on the join screen to fill in an event code straight from your clipboard. It even understands a full invite link, so you can copy a shared link and paste it without picking out the code yourself, no more typing six characters by hand. • Clearer code entry: We fixed a display issue where the code characters could look cut off at the top on certain screen sizes. The code now shows in full and looks crisp on every device. HOSTING YOUR EVENT • Manage who's in your event: Hosts can now open the People list and, for any guest, remove them or block them from the event. Removing someone simply frees up their spot and they can rejoin later with the code. Blocking is stronger, the guest is removed, their photos are hidden from the album, and they can't rejoin even if they still have the invite code or QR. • Blocked-guest list, always undoable: Each event now has a "Blocked guests" list in its settings, so you can see who you've blocked for that event and unblock them in one tap if you change your mind. INVITES & QR CODE • Save your QR code to Photos: From the invite screen you can now download your event's QR code straight to your camera roll, ready to print, put on a sign, or share however you like. It saves with a clean white border so it scans reliably on screen or on paper. A CLEANER EVENT SETTINGS PAGE • We redesigned event settings so everything is readable at a glance.
