### 2/5 — Difficult to understand for newbie

*2021-09-25, version 6.7*

No idea what blue, brown, or AE zone means. Should have overlay legend/description like typical maps. Reading map should be easy.

### 2/5 — Limitation

*2020-02-04, version 6.3*

Does not work with addresses in Puerto Rico, USA.

### 1/5 — Useless. A waste of $10 plus Scription’s

*2019-06-19, version 6.2*

I’m purchasing property on the Sprague river in Oregon. From what I can tell on FEMA maps, it may be in FloodZone C.

I tried searching with this app. All I get is “No FEMA Data”

I’ve contacted support twice. No response

I wasted $10 on app and another $10 on required subscriptions.

### 2/5 — Poor tutorial.

*2019-05-15, version 6.1*

The tutorial is very poorly provided. It doesn’t tell you how to layer FEMA maps. What good is it with map legends without knowing how to get the hazard maps. Poor and almost no response to my requests for help!!!!!

### 1/5 — No Good

*2018-01-16, version 5.1*

This doesn't cover my area. Said no FEMA maps available. How can that be I live along the SC coast.
$15 wasted.

### 1/5 — 👎🏻

*2017-07-31, version 4.1*

Awful. Kept freezing up on me and could not get it to work. Just downloaded it and it said it was a trial period for a month. It just didn't work at all! Disappointed

### 2/5 — Great app BUT...

*2016-09-19, version 3.0*

...you can get this information free on the FEMA website.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — DONT BUY

*2023-09-15, version 6.8*

This app did not probide any flood map data. Complete waste of money.

### 1/5 — Layer issues

*2022-05-12, version 6.7*

Layers are not showing up on any of my devices

### 1/5 — Additional fees, no fema data for my property. Scammy

*2022-02-20, version 6.7*

So…$5 for a moth of flood maps, but then another $3 a month for flood zone maps. Neither of which worked. I feel like I just got muggged.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2022-01-27, version 6.7*

App used to work. Paid for another month and now it provides no details. Please fix or issue refund.

### 1/5 — DONT DO IT

*2022-01-24, version 6.7*

Very upsetting! I searched 3 different address’s and all say no fema data. What’s the point in paying for this app then. Terrible!

### 1/5 — White letters

*2021-04-07, version 6.4*

When I use the search bar my only option is to use white letters on the white background. I have to guess what I’m typing. In the photo of the app it shows black letters. Waste of $9.99.

### 1/5 — BE CAREFUL!!

*2021-03-03, version 6.4*

This app requires a subscription which they burry the details of at the end of the descriptions. You only get to see flood maps for 1 month before you have to buy the subscription which is basically the same price as the app every single month. What a joke. It worked for a month. For this price it’s not worth it. I can go online and get the maps for free from FEMA. Was willing to buy the app for convince but not a monthly charge. You gotta be kidding me. Rip off.

### 1/5 — Not at all what I thought

*2020-10-25, version 6.4*

Was hoping to get realistic elevation for my home instead got what FEMA says. Every other map says I am 12-20 feet above sea level but this one just says what fema says.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2020-10-11, version 6.4*

Cannot see the site address while typing

### 1/5 — Maps do not work

*2019-11-13, version 6.3*

The maps are not showing up. I have restarted the app and my iPad. How do I get my money back? This was a waste of money.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Easier than FEMA website

*2022-02-16, version 6.7*

If you need zone determinations this app is great and way better than the clunky fema site.

### 5/5 — Easy to use and does the job!

*2021-10-06, version 6.7*

On my phone this app is easier to navigate than the FEMA site. The maps are clear and you can zoom in and show the structure in the zone. You need to know what you are looking at so that you can explain it to a property buyer, but all realtors should already know this.

### 5/5 — Awesome customer service people

*2019-04-11, version 6.1*

I had purchased this app a few days ago and the search bar wasn’t working. After contacting to the support team at Ikonetics, I received an e-mail offering a refund and regrets the app wasn’t working for me.
They didn’t stop there though! They continued to work on the problem and fixed the software issue with my phone. I appreciate their efforts and I look forward to using this app to help us relocate.
It is easier to use the Flood Maps app than relying on the FEMA maps alone.

### 5/5 — Excellent app for home buyers and realtors.

*2018-07-13, version 5.1*

If in the market for a new home that is near a body of water this app will help you in making an informed decision on how much risk of flood you would be assuming in that purchase.

### 5/5 — Extremely useful and convenient

*2017-11-14, version 5*

The app is not overly complicated to use. Very self-explanatory. I am a Realtor and since purchasing the app a few days ago I’ve used it 2 times for work already. It saves me time not having to navigate the FEMA site which when you are at a Property is difficult on a phone and when deciding between 2 homes; flood zone vs non flood zone can make all the difference for a client. This app gave me my answer with a few clicks and I was able to show my purchaser client where the home rests in proximity to a flood zone. It’s worth the $9.99 initial purchase and small monthly fee.

### 5/5 — Great

*2016-08-23, version 3.0*

Used this app when shopping for a house at the beach. Helped me to find a house that was not in the flood zone. Very easy to use.

### 5/5 — A Must-Have Tool

*2015-02-04, version 1.1*

This app is a perfect example of how to use the genius of great developers and a great platform like the iPod/iPhone to get real-world, 21st century benefits from technology and innovation.

### 5/5 — Great and useful

*2014-10-13, version 1.0*

I've downloaded the App, and it gave me a clear reading of my area's flood parameters. I am planning a cross-country trip and will use this App as I go to test it further. I hope to report back with more data.

### 3/5 — Can’t do a location search

*2021-02-23, version 6.4*

I really like this app and find it is more useful and faster that the FEMA Flood Website. However, for quite a while now I have not been able to use the address search feature. Tried reloading the app but that doesn’t work. Hope the developer reads these reviews because I depend on this app with my job and couldn’t find of a way of reaching out to them about this issue.

**Developer response:** Hello, I'm sorry there were issues using the app. Please try the newest version and let us know if the issue continues. If the problem is not corrected with the new version, please open the Flood Map app and tap the main menu (three bars in the upper left) then tap Send Feedback. Thank you.

### 2/5 — It’s a subscription

*2021-11-11, version 6.7*

Didn’t realize that until after my purchase
