## What is FLOOX reader?

Have you ever wanted to read some book, but it felt like it needed too much time and was simply boring? FLOOX will make reading much faster and much more fun (once you get a hang of it ;) It is based on RSVP (Rapid Serial Visual Presentation) method, which has been scientifically proven to increase the reading speed by 33% while retaining the same comprehension level (G. Öquist, M. Goldstein). 

While most speed-reading techniques require a lot of self-discipline to keep a high speed, FLOOX keeps the speed you choose, so that you can relax and concentrate on the meaning. Reading becomes like watching a movie, while remaining a great exercise for your brain. Since words on the screen are always moving and grabbing your attention, concentrating on reading is also much easier than for a static text, where your mind tends to wonder away because there is no action.

The basis of any speed reading is to reduce the vocalization: understand the words without pronouncing them with your internal voice; and FLOOX helps you achieve this. So your regular reading will also improve after using FLOOX!

Besides, since you only need to see one word a time, you can use a much larger font and hold the device farther away, which is less tiring on your eyes and saves your vision.

Remember: this method requires a skill. You can truly appreciate it only after practicing it for a couple of weeks.

### 5/5 — Simple, yet elegant. An app to keep!

I’m not one to leave app reviews, but, man, this app just works exactly like I want it to.

It has an insane amount of features and the paid version is strictly to remove non invasive ads. Props to the developers for not selling out and locking features/supported formats for extra money.

Would love to see more support for user customization options (themes), or the addition of a place to put hex color codes when modifying reader view.

Overall an amazing app, definitely one I’d be happy to pay for and keep in my app arsenal :)

Love this app. Some of the interface could be made a bit smoother but once you understand it it’s extremely flexible which is fantastic. Wish there was an option to turn off ads while online but apart from that Floox is the only really strong alternative I’ve found to Outread (Outread now being extremely expensive and subscription based.)

So happy I found Floox!

Couple suggestions:

Option to change font and size
Option to not show ghosted text
Option to show multiple words when small

Thank you - keep it going! Dyslexics and ADD sufferers like me find this approach to reading a godsend. I can read so much faster than people who have no trouble reading standard formats. And, conversely, conventional readers to whom I’ve shown this app are unable to use it.
