I got a boost of dopamine every time I finished my studying and grew a tree, and I loved the little anticipation I got when wondering what kind of tree I was growing. It helped me SO so much with executive dysfunction and eliminating distractions. I was recommending it to everyone I knew and it was awesome. However, the new update has completely changed it for me, and now i pretty much stopped using it entirely. I don’t like the new layout and style and I don’t like the monetary system to ‘purchase’ the trees. The interphase when navigating the different journeys/tours is super confusing and unintuitive. I usually don’t mind change, but this seems like a different app and there isn’t any motivation for me anymore to use it. After years of not using it, I came back and saw that they even have a new pack. I eagerly purchased it, only to find out the app no longer works. Every time I start a focus session and close my phone (without going to another app or the Home Screen first), the tree dies. When I stay on Flora in my focus session and let my screen go to sleep without me touching my phone, the tree still dies. I honestly feel cheated because I literally just purchased the new pack, but mostly I feel deeply disappointed because I really used to LOVE this focus app and now I have to find a new one.
