## What is Floraia?

Floraia (فلوريا) is the first period and pregnancy tracker built specifically for Muslim women. It pairs accurate cycle predictions with Islamic guidance you can trust, and every feature works fully offline on your device — no sign-in, no cloud, no ads tracking your cycle.
NEW IN VERSION 12.4.6 — SMARTER, SAFER, KINDER
Age-Aware Onboarding & Auto Kids Mode
Floraia now adapts to who you are. Under 15? Kids Mode turns on automatically — no subscriptions, no ads, gentler reminders, and Islamic insights rewritten in plain language. The day you turn 15, the app gently lets you know it has switched to its full mode. Your "Goal with Floraia" options are filtered to what actually fits your age and marital status — a 12-year-old will never be offered "Plan Pregnancy," a single 25-year-old won't either.
Marital Status & Goal Personalization
Adults are asked once whether they are single or married. Goals like Plan Pregnancy and the new Pregnancy Lifetime offer are only surfaced for married users who actually want them.
PCOS Symptom Checker — Now Inside Period Mode
An 8-question screener built around the Rotterdam criteria. Your result (Low / Moderate / High risk) is saved and feeds directly into your cycle predictions: cycle-length range expands, irregularity is flagged, and tips adapt — so PCOS doesn't break your tracking accuracy.
5-Question Intimacy Survey for Real Pregnancy Probability
Replaces the old toggle. Each entry asks about protection, cervical mucus, weekly frequency, lifestyle factors, and self-assessed signs. Calibrated against published fertility research (Wilcox 1995, Bigelow 2004, Stanford 2003), the survey produces a far more accurate per-cycle pregnancy probability — shown right on Today.
Pregnancy Mode — Polished
Verse of the Day and the pregnancy calendar now look right in dark mode. The pregnancy calendar gained the same powers as the period calendar: jump-to-month picker, long-press for week / trimester / days remaining, and a settings gear for the legend.
Editable Age (Once a Month)
You can correct your date of birth from your profile, with a clear warning that predictions may recalculate.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 12.4.6 — 2026-08-17

Kids Mode is now its own app

Kids Mode is no longer a trimmed-down version of the main app. It's a separate one, with four tabs: Today, Calendar, Learn, Me.

- No adverts, no subscriptions, nothing to buy
- No fertility or pregnancy content of any kind
- A welcome screen explaining how the app works, with a Skip option
- A Learn tab: clear answers about periods and her body, in plain language, based on published adolescent health guidance
- Support for girls who haven't started yet — a state the app previously had no concept of
- Says plainly that irregular cycles in the first two or three years are normal, instead of showing a low confidence score that reads as though something is wrong

Unusual bleeding

You can now flag bleeding that arrived outside your period:
- Shown in a distinct brown on the ring and calendar, so it never blends into your period days
- Left out of the prediction maths, so your cycle forecasts stay accurate
- Undo either way: mark it back as a period, or remove the entry

Reminders

Fixed an issue that was preventing most reminders from being delivered. Period, late-period and daily reminders now arrive on schedule.

Also fixed
- The app no longer returns you to setup after being closed and reopened
- Arabic copy rewritten to be clearer and closer to everyday speech
- Various display and colour improvements

### 12.4.3 — 2026-08-14

KIDS MODE NOW HIDES EVERYTHING IT SHOULD
Thank you to the mother who told us her 12-year-old daughter was still seeing conception days — you were right, and it is fixed.

- With Kids Mode on, fertility days, ovulation, safe days and conception estimates are now hidden completely. Not softened — removed.
- No notification about fertile days or conception can reach a child account, whatever settings were chosen before Kids Mode was switched on.
- Period predictions still work exactly as before. Knowing when her period is due is the whole point.

LATE-PERIOD ADVICE THAT ACTUALLY FITS
- The app used to say "a short delay is normal, see a doctor if it passes a week" no matter how late you were — including after months. That was wrong, and it has been rebuilt.
- The guidance now changes with how late you actually are: a few days, over a week, over a month, and over three months each get different, appropriate advice.
- If pregnancy is a possibility, we now say so plainly instead of talking around it.
- Past three months, the app tells you clearly that this needs a doctor rather than reassuring you.

FIXES
- The Today screen no longer shows two different "days late" numbers at once — the ring and the text below it now always agree.

### 12.0.4 — 2026-07-31

WIDGETS, PROPERLY DONE
- A new large widget showing seven days at a glance — three behind you, today, three ahead — each day colour-coded by where you are in your cycle.
- A new medium widget with your cycle ring beside the next three things coming: fertile window, ovulation, and your period.
- The small widget and both Lock Screen widgets are cleaner and easier to read.
- Long-press your Home Screen, tap "+", and search for Floraia.

A CLEARER CALENDAR
- Today is no longer drawn in pink. It used to wear the same colour as a logged period day, which made an ordinary day look like a period. Today is now a neutral outline, and the day you tap is a soft grey — so every colour on the calendar means exactly one thing.

NOTHING HIDDEN
- Features no longer sit behind a small dismiss button that made them look like adverts. Everything Floraia can do is now listed in Insights, ordered by importance, with a "New" mark until you've tried it.
- After an update you'll see a short introduction to what's new — with a Skip button that's always there and never comes back once used.

A TIDIER PROFILE
- Settings are grouped by what you're actually trying to do: My cycle · My body & analysis · On my devices · App settings.
- Apple Watch, the widget, and Apple Health now live together under "On my devices" instead of being scattered among unrelated rows.

FIXES
- A much improved Apple Health connection, with a built-in check you can run if syncing isn't working.
- Old notifications left over from previous versions are now properly cleared, so you only receive the new, quieter ones.
- Various smaller fixes throughout.

### 11.0.0 — 2026-07-28

The biggest release in Floraia's history.

ONE PAYMENT, NO SUBSCRIPTIONS
- Subscriptions are gone. A single one-time payment unlocks everything, for life.
- Already subscribed? Your access continues — nothing is taken away.
- A free week of Gold for everyone, as a thank you. No payment method, nothing to cancel.

ON YOUR WRIST AND YOUR HOME SCREEN
- A real Apple Watch app — see your cycle day and log your period from your wrist.
- A watch face complication, so it's there every time you check the time.
- Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets.
- Apple Health sync — if you log your cycle on your Watch, the two records become one.

NOTIFICATIONS, REBUILT
- We no longer send you something you already saw when you opened the app.
- We no longer send a prediction we aren't confident in.
- A daily limit, quiet hours, and timing that learns when you actually open the app.
- "It started" right on the notification — log your period without unlocking your phone.
- You can see exactly what's scheduled, before it arrives.

A COMPLETELY NEW DESIGN
- Every screen rebuilt, and a completely new setup flow.
- Tap the cycle ring to see what every colour means and how accurate your prediction is.
- Safe days are back, clearly marked.
- Hijri dates are back — Gregorian, Hijri, or both.

CONFIRM OVULATION, DON'T JUST PREDICT IT
- Morning temperature charting with the standard three-over-six rule.
- "Ovulation confirmed" — the one thing in the app based on measurement, not forecast.

FOR EVERY STAGE
- Pregnancy mode rebuilt, with its own calendar, weekly baby size, and trimester checklists.
- New support for perimenopause: when your cycle becomes unpredictable, the app stops pretending it isn't.
- A smarter PCOS check that uses your logged cycles, not just your answers.

ACCURACY
- Days are described the way you think about them — "3rd day after your period", not a confusing cycle number.
- Arabic numbers display correctly everywhere.
- Prediction accuracy shows the same figure throughout the app.
- Abnormal bleeding no longer distorts your predictions.
- Cycle and period length are editable again from your profile.
