Fl511 app has no information. When called, 511 tells you to download app or go to website. This is NOT a useful app for anyone driving! This needs correction to a voice responsive service. Also, this app is not user friendly. Old way was to ask for a roadway. Now? Get a list of all issues in a radius. Connect.Know.Go. ### 2/5 — FL 511 vs VA 511 *2021-05-28* FL 511 uses still pics so info is not in real time and is a bit off. In Virginia, there 511 is a live feed so whatever is written could be a few minutes off. You need only to tap the live feed to verify which is sooo good as things can happen in seconds. This feature has saved me on so many occasions. So in Florida I can only rely on Waze. FL 511 is currently lagging and inferior without the live feed for sure. Bring back the Florida 511 telephone voice system. Howard Sims Altamonte Sorings ### 2/5 — Not usable for truckers. *2021-04-08* They charged from a call to 511 to having to use a app or computer. Truckers can-not by law use there cell phones. They can use hands free Headset but phone must be out of drivers view. Calling and getting traffic up dates were easy a very useful for truckers. But now this system is no better then a mounted GPS. Go back or add the call up service and help truckers stay safe. Iv even seen drivers of car holding the phone and trying to get updates on traffic. Now I know some will say just mount the phone so a trucker can keep a eye on the traffic ahead. Do you want a truck weighing 40 tons doing 70mph coming up on you while the driver is looking at his phone to check traffic. And trucks are much more noisy then cars. The voice option on the app is again useless in a big truck. Just offer both options. Phone or app. Keep the highways safe. **Developer response:** Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Gave up trying to get any info out of it. Not worth the hassle. ### 1/5 — Not Even Sure What This App Is For *2025-02-11* Is the point of the app to have a quick link to call FHP? I just downloaded it and tried to use it for the first time yesterday. The map wouldn’t stay visible and kept flipping back to a page that said “Call FHP”. I’m confused. ### 1/5 — This is not helpful! *2024-04-26* Bring back the phone number with information. Your app is useless as a person can not use it when driving. Whoever decided on an app is a complete moron. Being able to listen to what is going on and why the roads are backed up was beneficial. Now it’s stupid and can’t find out anything about any route. I had it downloaded and used it constantly. I kept up with my trucker husband’s route so I could relay to him and his fellow workers on what was going on; etc…. Only technology fetishists and government officials could be so pre-adolescently shallow and mouthbreathingly stupid to have switched over completely to something like this instead of at least keeping the old call-up system along with perhaps this “eyes off the road, please” app-only version. Tried to use while in rest stop and found it to be a less than satisfactory product. Go back to the call system. I can use my phone employing hands free Bluetooth. Saw another review here by a trucker who made the same suggestion. ### 1/5 — Ruined *2023-10-03* Some genius took an awesome app that I would use daily and completely ruined it to the point that it’s useless. You can’t even navigate this thing anymore. It has so many questions and then just keeps flipping back to call Florida highway patrol. It’s completely terrible. I called the 511 number from my car and it said to download the app. How the heck is that helpful? Anyways I had to go out of my way because I could not get on the road nor find out why. Nothing on the news stations. I downloaded this app once I arrived at my location, as I was curious why this road was closed. Nothing listed! If you’re going to block a road update your so called app. And for the love of god bring back the phone option as you can’t check an app while driving!!! It’s against the law!!!! Unfortunately it does not have the option for apple car play. This app is great to check on any congestion and/or accidents before traveling. My only complaint is their address system. For whatever reason, the majority of the places I visit are considered to have an “invalid address” this is solved by putting a more general address, but is still an inconvenience. **Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback.
