It’s one of those games I can just get sucked into and play endlessly… until it crashes. I wanna keep breaking my high scores, going for ridiculously long runs but the game constantly and randomly crashes, often times while I’m in the middle of a really good run. Fix that and it’d be a 5/5 easy. Running on an iPhone 14 Plus, I expect better performance. **Developer response:** The new update should remedy this performance problem! ### 4/5 — Some fixes needed… *2023-07-21* Biggest issue I’ve got with this game is I’m constantly getting runs ruined by the game crashing abruptly. I’ll be having a good run too with over 80 seconds on the clock, having passed 3 or more roadblocks, blown up over three dozen cars, then before I know it I’m looking at my home screen. Crash fix needs a huge buff, please! Another big issue I would like to see addressed is the lack of a pause button. Only way I can feasibly “pause” is to close my screen or swipe to momentarily close the game… hoping I’m in a safe area to do so, before I immediately have to scramble and prepare myself to get right back into playing as soon as I go back to the game. Not fun. Lastly, I think the electric shield SHOULD be able to destroy roadblocks. Considering they activate automatically, I think if I’m lucky enough to have one active as I’m approaching a roadblock, let it destroy said roadblock instead of me just barely scraping a cop car and ruining my run ### 3/5 — Game crashes *2023-05-17, version 1.1* I can’t recommend the game until this is fixed. The crash system is WAY too sensitive, like some other reviews maybe add a hp bar that way a slight tap to the rail won’t end your run? It’s that it wants to have a chill vibe and all that with synth wave/vapor wave but it’s just not happening when I keep crashing, A LOT. Just way too punishing for a slight tap to the rail etc, would be amazing if something like that existed, maybe some sort of cruise mode where you can’t fail at all to completely just chill/vibe? The steering is like jelly apart from road signs and giant cassettes flying into you face it’s hard to play. Hit a truck head on, no problem but catch a wing mirror on the side of the road and the car explodes like a bomb. Would have been a great relaxing game to just drive. Let’s do a new version! Who knows you might like it. ### 4/5 — My rating/ suggestions *2022-04-29* First off i love this game and its graphics and just its chill vibe and i LOVE the 80s vibe you got going though i feel like it could get a little more 80s style but otherwise its awesome. Another thing is that idk if its in the game but an delorean or even the back to the future delorean maybe idk and this game has soooo much potential though maybe don’t add ads cause then it would get annoying and i would stop playing and don’t have a pay to win in the future. Another is maybe making the explosion graphic when you crash a little better idk how you would but yeah and adding more cassettes to collect and maybe have like limited ones you could get bygoing though the game that play music in like a library with all the collectable ones and just working on this game would make me happy and also maybe make the controls less slippery and have the cars have a little more grip to it and just maybe add some tricks you can do so yeah thats all i have but overall great game good job 👍 ### 2/5 — Stick to animations, ‘cause these controls ain’t it *2022-04-22* And while we’re at it, you could make this game a much better quick cash grab if you just had a small amount of stuff to purchase with cassette tapes as currency, or you know, more content at least? More diversity in the map, more obstacles to deal with… and a health bar that goes down massively for every SLIGHT tap ‘at least.’ 1.99 for a day and night, less ads, and three extra turbo boosts also ain’t it. That’s at least worth 0.99 or slightly more if you really want to be that way. Don’t give me the “oh you don’t have 2 dollars?” excuse. Have you seen the prices outside lately? **Developer response:** Thanks for the input but Welcome to the '80s is not interested in "cash grabs" and never will be. The pass actually completely removes ads and adds a couple of bonuses (most of which can be unlocked without it anyway, eg. the daylight system).
