## What is Florin?

Money, wherever you live.

Florin is a money manager for people whose money does not stay in one country. Keep accounts in dollars, euros, rupees, or yen. Spend in one currency, save in another, and still see one honest net worth, converted live. And it is private the old-fashioned way: everything stays on your iPhone. No account, no cloud, no tracking.

I built Florin when my own money split across two countries and every app I tried either wanted my bank login or fell apart at the second currency. It had to do neither, and logging had to take seconds: the day it becomes a chore is the day you stop.

LET THE TEXT DO THE TYPING
Your bank already texts you every time money moves. Forward one to Florin and it comes back parsed and categorized, in whatever currency the text arrived, and a one-time Shortcuts automation can do the forwarding as texts come in. Florin never reads your messages: iOS does not allow it, and you decide what gets sent. Receipts, PDFs, and screenshots share in from any app too, or just paste. Every capture waits in a review inbox for a tap to confirm, and duplicates are caught before they log twice.

OR JUST SAY IT
Say "Log to Florin" and speak the expense in your own words. Siri fills in the rest and confirms out loud, without opening the app or even unlocking your phone.

BUDGETS AND GOALS THAT SPEAK CURRENCY
Cap your overall spending, or any single category. A month split across two countries still adds up to one number, with a nudge at 80 percent and another when you cross the line, and unspent room can roll into next month. Savings goals keep their own currency (a trip saved for in yen stays in yen), work out a pace per week, month, or quarter, and can reserve money inside an account so you never spend what you promised yourself. Category and trend charts show where it all went, by month, year, or all time.

YOUR DATA IS JUST A FILE
Import bank and card statements from CSV or Excel, with column mapping that remembers each bank's layout. Back the whole ledger up to a single Excel file that restores perfectly, or let Florin snapshot it into your own iCloud Drive as you close the app, so a new phone picks up where the old one stopped. Restoring is always free. Coming from Money Manager? One import.

NOTHING TO BREACH
There is no server and no account. Even the web dashboard runs without a cloud: your phone serves your ledger to a browser on your computer over your own Wi-Fi, and your AI assistant connects the same way, able to read and suggest but never write. Face ID or a passcode locks the app, and the only thing Florin ever fetches is exchange rates.

The core is free forever: unlimited transactions, capture from bank texts, Apple Pay, and voice, three accounts, statement imports, CSV backups, one budget, and one savings goal. Pro adds budgets for every category, unlimited goals and accounts, the web dashboard and AI access, year and all-time insights, iCloud and Excel backups, and receipt photos.

Florin is a personal expense tracker. It does not connect to bank accounts, move money, or give financial advice.

Founder Lifetime is a one-time purchase of $39.99. Florin Pro Annual is an auto-renewable subscription of $14.99 per year. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. This one is about the name on the door.

Florin now calls itself what it has always been: a money manager for more than one currency. Nothing changes inside the app, and nothing changes underneath: your money stays on your phone, whatever currencies it lives in.

### 1.4 — 2026-08-09

Apple Pay purchases can log themselves now.

Set the automation up once and every tap to pay lands in your review inbox with the merchant and amount already filled in, waiting on your confirm like every other capture. Installing it takes a single tap from the setup screen.

Your ledger can back itself up to your own iCloud Drive too. Florin takes a snapshot as you close the app, and a new phone restores from it in one go. Restoring is always free, even if you never buy Pro.

Rows that swipe now say so. The first card in the review inbox and the first row in Transactions give a small nudge to show what a swipe uncovers, then bow out once you have got it.

Polish for the transactions list.

The date above each day now has room to breathe, and it hands over cleanly as you scroll from one day into the next. Before, the outgoing date could land on top of a transaction for a moment, and rows were cut off at a hard edge as they passed underneath. Now they fade out, and one date gives way to the next over open space.

Budgets and savings goals are here.

Cap your overall spending or any single category. Spending in every currency rolls up into your base currency, you get a nudge at 80 percent and another when you go over, and unspent room can carry into next month.

Set a savings goal with a target and a date and Florin works out the pace: what to put aside each week, month, or quarter, and whether you are on track. Goals keep their own currency, and a goal linked to an account reserves its money from what you have available to spend, without moving a thing.

Both live in the new Budget & savings screen (under More on iPhone, its own tab on iPad), and both show up on the web dashboard and to connected AI assistants.

The review inbox got a redesign too. Captures arrive split into the ones ready to confirm and the ones that need a look, with the source and account visible at a glance and a swipe to confirm. A capture with no readable amount is held for review instead of slipping through, and the time a bank text actually arrived is kept, shown, and editable.

Smaller things: descriptions now complete from ones you have typed before, so a payee you log every week takes one tap. And Insights leads with your top five categories instead of burying the list.
