### 4/5 — Almost Perfect

*2021-09-16, version 1.1.7*

This app has really helped me keep on top of my plant care, as I just can’t stop collecting them! I also appreciate that there’s no pay wall to adding as many plants as you like. It would be 5/5 if not for the fact that it is glitching lately. It’s always loading when I open it, even if I close the app or restart my phone and all of the plants I saved are gone :(

### 4/5 — Nice app! Can I get a “wishlist”?

*2021-07-26, version 1.1.7*

Nice, simple app for keeping track of what I have. The light meter is especially useful!

I have multiples of some plants in different locations around the house, so it would be cool to be able to add more than one type of plant, name them accordingly (spider plant in kitchen, spider plant on front porch), and mark as watered separately. Perhaps even fields where I can keep track of where they came from (bought online, from neighborhood nursery, cutting from a friend, etc)

Also, I’d love a “wishlist” where I can mark down all the varieties I’d like to add to my collection someday.

### 3/5 — It’s nice when it works

*2021-06-13, version 1.1.7*

About half the time it automatically marks the plant as being watered without notifying me it needs water. For example it will say my jade plant needs water in 2 days, in days I will check (b/c I forget to water) & it says next water is in 14 days, no notification or reminder that I need to water it. Half my plants have a watering can in the corner to press when watered, the other half won’t. When it works, I remember to water my plants but I can’t rely on it to remind me.

### 3/5 — Mad glitchy

*2021-02-07, version 1.1.7*

I really want to love this app, it’s simple and pretty, but every so often it glitches out and refuses to load my plants. I’ve had to reinstall it twice. It also only has in-app reminders, so you have to check in the app to see if you’re late on plant care. For the last few days, when I open the app, it displays a loading icon and then eventually says “request timed out.” Very frustrating!

### 4/5 — We need to be able to customize watering schedule PLEASE

*2020-08-22, version 1.1.4*

This is a nice app to keep track of your plants and the light meter is a life saver but I would really really really love to customize the watering schedule. It’s nice to have an estimate of how often to water but sometimes you need to do less or more often and there’s no way to change it or at least mark that you’ve watered it so it can reset back to the default time. I don’t even use that feature anymore but would be so awesome if you could track like a journaling system when you’ve last watered

### 4/5 — Like it but want to love it

*2020-08-14, version 1.1.4*

I really enjoy using Florish. I find most plants and the app proved good advice, I’ve kept most my plays living! It keeps me on to of my watering and and overall I love the simplicity. That being said- I know my pants sometimes need watered sooner or later as I’ve gotten to know them. It would be cool if we could skip days or water sooner and the patterns get recognized or something. Definitely will continue to use and recommend

### 4/5 — Update pleaseeeee

*2020-07-14, version 1.1.4*

I like the app, real simple and easy. I do feel it needs like a major update though. I did see in the review people complaint only the whole notifications thing, and I just feel like it can do so much more.. there’s a lot of plant apps out there , this needs just needs a lil to make it that much better. Maybe we can detect and diagnose plants and maybe if the motivations actually notify when it’s time to water that would be helpful.

### 3/5 — Inconsistent reminders

*2020-07-09, version 1.1.4*

I have almost all my plants aligned on the same watering schedule (every 7 days for most, every 14 for some). However, I do not consistently get reminders for each plant on those days. Only one or two Of them will pop up, which leads me to have to manually check each plant, then second guess if it’s truly watering day. It’s pretty confusing to have an app to remind you about watering, then have it fail to deliver those reminders appropriately

### 3/5 — Some feedback for the app owner

*2020-07-06, version 1.1.4*

1. There's no obvious way to mark a plant as having been watered. At least I couldn't find it.
2. The day after you're supposed to have watered them, it asks you—on each individual plant—if it's been watered and then shows an animation that takes a little while to get through and blocks you from using the app. I only have 5 plants, but this was even a tedious process for me. I can't imagine people who have many plants finding this useful.
3. Saving locations doesn't provide any useful information. It's only shown as a list of locations and nothing else (no light or direction information). This would be way more useful if the app could show that information or even tell you which windows are best for each of your plants.

### 3/5 — Needs personal Notes section & more customization

*2020-06-28, version 1.1.4*

BADDDDLYYY wish everything was more customizable like;
- if there was a Notes section for each plant’s page so you can write in your own notes
- if you could create Plant profiles under each Plant Type if you have more than one of the plant (for example, allow 2 profile w my plants Fresno and Lady snake plants to be created under the whole Snake Plant page) as it’d make keeping track of individual plants of a type easier. My one snake plant is wayy bigger than the other so that’d be nice to add different notes to profiles for each.
-if you could post more photos of your plant to keep track of progress
-if you could change the watering schedule from auto setting or make it to where you can put in a date you want a reminder even if set to auto-remind

I love the rest of the app but the ability to customize a few things would be a game changer!

### 3/5 — Needs two improvements

*2020-05-18, version 1.1.4*

I’ve used this app for 2+ years and while I mostly like it, there are two things I’ve noticed that are problems.

The first and most annoying is that whenever the app updates, it logs you out. While it doesn’t erase your saved plants or watering calendar, it *does* stop the app from sending you notifications. So basically, one of the handiest features can stop working and you won’t know it until it occurs to you that you haven’t seen a reminder in awhile.

The second issue is there’s no way to delay the watering reminder. The in-app pop up only offers you a “completed” button. It would be great if there was a reminder option.

TLDR: the app looks nice, is pretty intuitive, and is helpful, but the logistics can make it hard to use.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2021-09-14, version 1.1.7*

I was really excited to give this app a try for my new plants but it won’t load. It takes several attempts and once it does finally open, there’s no plants to add to your collection. You can take a picture but that won’t load either. The website isn’t working either to contact or search faq’s. I’ve deleted app and reinstalled and now I can’t even log in.

### 1/5 — Couldn’t create an account

*2021-09-06, version 1.1.7*

While creating an account in the app the request would time out every time. Even on the website, when I clicked create account it would load the exact same page again and never create the account. The website wouldn’t even take me to the “contact us” or “FAQ” page. I wanted to try this app out but I can’t even access it. Oh well.

### 1/5 — Data Errors

*2021-03-25, version 1.1.7*

I had high hopes for this app. I mainly downloaded it for the watering reminders and liked that there were no required in-app purchases. I added some of my plants and all seemed well. I later realized I was not getting push notifications, despite the fact they were enabled, and when I went to open the app, I received database error messages and nothing would load. A week later things seemed to be working better when I opened the app, and I was able to record that I had watered my plants. However today when I open the app, nothing is loading and I eventually get a message that “the request timed out.” This app has been unusable most of the time I’ve had it, so it looks like I need to find an alternative.

**Developer response:** Hi there- thank you for reporting this issue. We're actively working on this issue but we're a super small team (pretty much just me and the dev person!) so it's taking time to tackle it. It's how we can keep the app free for users. Please consider a fresh review once we've ironed out this hiccup since positive word of mouth helps me keep the app free. And please feel free to let me know at veronica@florish.co if you have any other issues I can address! -Veronica

### 1/5 — Worked until it didn’t

*2021-02-06, version 1.1.7*

It was okay. Not very many features and a ton of plants are missing info that says “coming soon” or “tba”. Today when I went to open the app it seems like their databases that are in JSON are corrupted and none of my plants are showing up. I checked their Twitter and it hasn’t been updated since 2018 lol stay far away from this app. I’d love to delete my account but even that isn’t possible and I get an error message saying that the JSON data cannot be read. Yikes.

### 1/5 — Can’t create an account in the app or their website

*2020-09-13, version 1.1.4*

I downloaded this app to try and scan the light in my room, but it won’t even allow me to create an account. I deleted the app and re-downloaded, tried creating an account over WiFi and data, and still did not work. I then went to their website from the AppStore link “developer help” and it just brought me to their homepage, nowhere to contact support for issues with the app. I then tried to create an account on their website, and had the same issue. I want the 20 minutes of my life trying to set this up back.

### 2/5 — Not many plants in database

*2021-08-27, version 1.1.7*

I really like the look and feel, but could only find about a third of my plants in their database. You can request that new plants be added to their queue, but in the meantime I would have had to do my own research on care and reminders. I might revisit the app in another year or two to see if their database has improved.

### 2/5 — Worked for one day

*2021-03-13, version 1.1.7*

Had a great experience with the app the first day I downloaded it (other than the plant database being pretty small). After trying to open the app again later, it’s glitchy and won’t load anything. No customer service option with developer either. Their contact site is a link that leads to nowhere. Disappointing.

### 2/5 — Light feature doesn’t even work

*2020-07-14, version 1.1.4*

I got this to test the lighting and it didn’t work at all. Even if I went to the brightest window or went outside it said there wasn’t enough light to scan (even though I was in direct sunlight). So I’m super disappointed the light measuring tool doesn’t work but I gave 2 stars instead of one because I liked that you could search specific plants and it gave care tips and whatnot.

### 2/5 — Clean and nice features, but limited plant options

*2020-04-20, version 1.1.4*

It would be good if there either was a much more robust collections of plants to choose from or at least the ability to create your own and set watering notifications and add other care details. Not having the ability to just track all my plants in one place makes this annoying and a no go for me.

After reading some of the other reviews requesting the same thing and seeing they are year or more older leads me to believe this app is not actively maintained and unlikely to see basic feature updates.

### 2/5 — Reminders are broken

*2019-05-22, version 1.1*

It's a pretty app, and has good info about plants, but unfortunately the reminder system is broken. Even with everything enabled, reminders never appear, and then if you water your plants one day after the set date, there is no way to mark the task as done. You have to remove the plant and re-add it to reset the schedule.
I emailed the developer and never heard from them, so I guess I'll try out something else. At least now I know what kind of plants I have!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Excellent!

*2022-10-11, version 1.1.7*

Admittedly, I have only just installed this and only used the light meter; as another reviewer noted however, the light meter functionality is perhaps the most valuable asset of this app.
I am very keen to utilize the additional features which, as described, will be very useful for someone with a poor memory for these things.

### 5/5 — Excellent Free App!

*2021-02-16, version 1.1.7*

What this app offers is a great way to log your plants, with reminders for watering, and some plant care information. I look forward to seeing more plants added, and to maybe someday be able to adjust the watering reminder. But for a free app it is amazing!

### 5/5 — Love the app!

*2021-01-02, version 1.1.6*

I really love how the app is set up and how you can get the amount of sunlight measured. They also have a quiz you can take which is really nice that not only you can plan what plant to have next, but you can learn about other plants as well. Also,I hope more articles are published because I really love reading them! This is a great app and hopefully more plants are added throughout time.

**Developer response:** So happy to hear about your positive experience! Growing our plant wiki/editorial is definitely on the horizon, so stay tuned for more :) -Veronica (founder)

### 5/5 — The app 🌱

*2020-11-24, version 1.1.5*

At first I just got it to make sure I water my plants, and then I noticed that it tells you about each plant which is quite interesting. I learned more about the plant then I did before. One of my plants weren’t in the data base so I added it for it to be put in the data base. It said that it will only be added if others added it too, I thought it would take days to be added. One hour later the plant was added with information. I’m glad the creators acted fast and I can’t wait to see what else I can do with this app. I really like this app so far and have really high hopes. One more thing, how can I request for information to be added to a plant with no description or care instructions buts it’s already in the data base?

**Developer response:** Hi there! I'm glad you're taking advantage of some of our special plant care features. We've been working tirelessly behind the scenes on a new database so we'll have more information and care instructions for those plants. Feel free to let me know at Veronica@florish.co if you have any other issues I can address! -Veronica (Founder)

### 5/5 — Best app for tracking watering. Great look and feel

*2020-11-21, version 1.1.5*

I love the look and feel of this app. They fixed the issues it was having due to the last iOS update and it works great again! The watering reminders are so helpful and now you can mark a plant complete if you water it off cycle (early or late).

### 5/5 — Save your plant(s) and investment!

*2020-11-11, version 1.1.4*

This app takes the guesswork out of keeping our lil green friends alive and healthy. It can be a nightmare staying organized enough to remember when you watered each plant, and no two plants are alike for how much water they do or don’t need - you can’t just water all your plants the same amount or else some will suffer... Florish solves all that!!

### 5/5 — Best app ever for plant murderers who have dreams of indoor plantscapes

*2020-11-11, version 1.1.4*

Before Florish, I found myself googling every possible plant I could potentially get for my house and I inadvertently end up over or under watering it or just straight up killing it in a week flat. I use the watering reminder and log all my plants and I use it to figure out which plant to put where. I’m also basically a walking Florish ad now because I am disproportionately enthusiastic that I have 40 potted plants that are alive and thriving in my house. Genius app, highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Awesome!!

*2020-06-19, version 1.1.4*

I love this app. The watering reminders are awesome. There’s a super cool light feature to help you find good spots for your plants to thrive, or even just to survive. And the database has pretty much all the common houseplants. Another really cool thing about the plant database is most have really good pictures to help you identify plants, plus information about how to care for each plant, and if you can’t find the plant you’re looking for you can submit a picture of the plant with the name and they’ll do the research and add it to their database. And it’s free. Thank you!

### 5/5 — So far so good!

*2020-06-08, version 1.1.4*

So far, I am loving the app. This version was just the first rendition and new features and an expanded list of plants will be coming with time. I love the watering reminders and well as help remembering when to feed my plants. I recently requested that a ‘notes’ section be added and Veronica, the founder responded and offered her expertise on any plant issues I may have! So cool!

### 5/5 — Great for people like me who can’t keep anything alive!!

*2020-04-24, version 1.1.4*

I’ve struggled forever to keep my plants alive. I never knew which plants were right for my space, how to properly care for them, etc. This app has helped me keep 7 plants alive for the last year!!! Something I thought I would never be able to do! Highly recommend!!
