These devices provide a lot of information (light, water, fertilizer & temp) that’s helped me better care for my plants.  The history could be presented by showing days and allowing individual days to be selected.  Also the optimum ranges for each metric is way too small to see.  Showing it in color would improve visibility without changing font size.

It always says “night is coming on” so it can’t make a recommendation about how much light the plant is getting. I have one of them in a window that gets lots of sun. I’ve checked it throughout the day and it always says the same thing. It also worries me that it hasn’t been updated in 4 years.

I have had this app and sensor for about 2 weeks. One new sensor would not sync. 3 out of 4 sensor seems to have consistent reading but 1 other sensor is providing incorrect results. I validate the results with a regular moisture and light meter. I don’t recommend these sensors. Great idea but poorly executed.

As of 7 November, 2024, the app will not install on my Android devices because it is incompatible / made for an older version of Android.

Installed pretty easily on iOS and appears to function as expected in that environment.

Doesn’t have the plants I grow in and doesn’t have an add . The price and what it does I guess I can expect much. Be nice if it would run over internet so I could get information outside of being next to my plants . I can get that information myself without a sensor. Doubt I will buy any more when others do much more

The app is missing a lot of plants I own that I could not find searching for them! I have golden leather ferns, a Hawaiian red stem plant, and many others that I could not identify with the soil meter because the plant list needs to be updated and new additions of species need to be added please and thank you!

Such a useful concept, but a rather poor implementation. The sensors’ lack of WiFi capabilities—or even a hub option—for remote monitoring is limiting. The app has its own technical shortcomings as well—features like the Plant Diary menu, among others, work sporadically or not at all. At best, a cheap solution to a common problem—at worst, a waste of money and time.

Just installed this app, ok 3*... but the stock plant data base in poor. Why can you not enter the plant details or take picture out house plants we have. This way we have accurate information rather then pictures of other plants. And yes Iv have the latest update...

An app from a Chinese company that:

- Has not been updated for over a year since Apple required details of what data is gathered and who it is shared with to be posted on the app download page.

- Supposedly requires only Bluetooth & WiFi to operate but which blocks people who are using a VPN to secure their internet connection.

- This app is a security risk and Apple should withdraw it immediately - or the publisher should update it appropriately.

Bought several and they do not connect or keep connection. New batteries installed and they are depleted in a few months. Seems we are now left with useless app and expensive devices that do not do what they are designed to do. 
You’ve been informed so take note. Wish I’d looked here before hand to see the tasting is extremely poor. 
Don’t suppose there’s any support for English speaking is there?

It worked for about a month. Not it fails to connect and gets an SDK error. It seems like the app isn’t supported or needs an update. 

The history hasn’t worked since the last update. 

Also many English translation errors.

I wish I had looked up app. I got this bc I saw good reviews. I ordered it and it worked for 10 min and now doesn’t work. There’s limited instructions and no where in it or the FAQ for app does it say what the error codes are for. There’s no where to go for help either. It’s not so bad bc it wasn’t expensive but still the whole concept of it abs the action of it leaves a lot up be desired

If the app would actually sync consistently with the hardware, this might be quite useful. But in the three days since I set up two different devices in two different types of plants, each has only synced once with the app one more time. Pretty brutal.

I’ve had this app for years. I stopped using it because of intermittent connection issues. The app doesn’t have an option to alert you if the temperature exceeds a user defined limit. The dashboard doesn’t allow the user to rearrange plants to a desired order. The app doesn’t allow the user to select or deselect what information the user wants to see (ex: perhaps I don’t care about soil fertility but I care about temperature). The user should have a toggle switch to enable/disable plant info.

Complete waste of money if you actually want "smart" features. While you can technically add these sensors to the Mi Home EU region, they are fundamentally broken. They will not connect to local EU-region BLE gateways (like Xiaomi cameras).

This means you have zero internet access to your plant data. The only way to see the stats is to stand right next to the plant with Bluetooth on. If you want remote monitoring, you are forced to switch the entire app to the China (CN) region, which then breaks all your other local devices.

The "International" branding is a lie. If you have an EU-based smart home and want to check your plants while away from home, avoid these. I am returning them immediately.

I cannot get the sensors or the app to work. they really need to update their app software to the latest versions of Apple and android. These are extremely inconsistent sensors when they work but most of the time they don’t I don’t recommend buying this. Also, the advertisement at Alibaba express says they’re good for gardens, but the sensor says for use on indoor plants only.

Great concept poorly executed. To explain: As it’s just Bluetooth (rather than Wi-Fi) and you can’t group your plants. You have to run to the front of the house and then to the back of the house, and then upstairs depending on which one it decides to update. You can’t change the order or update individually. Also: You have to press each plant four times to get the data – rather than it being readily available in a clean dashboard showing e.g. plant 1 in red, needing attention and sending you an alert. Wouldn’t take much thought or application to turn this into a GREAT product ***Developers please take note***

The batteries on the devices I bought all seem to run out within weeks of putting new batteries in.  I probably only get successful syncs 20% of the time.   Shame as at first this all worked well.

This app and the accompanying gadgets are so handy! They are super easy to use & full of tons of great info. I love the huge selection of plants & succulents to choose from.
I’m not really good with Bluetooth & electronic things. So, I was surprised that I was able to set mine up in no time at all. The soil detector has been in for a few weeks & it working beautifully. It connects & gives me a lot more than just the moisture content. It also records lighting LUX, fertilizer levels, and the temperature. 

Plus, I can use the app to search for ‘how to care for additional plants’ any time I need. I have no idea why this device & app aren’t top selling items all over the world. They take the guesswork out of trying to keep my plants looking great, while maintaining a busy lifestyle. 

Purchase!! You won’t regret it!

These things are great, even if you just use them for soil moisture or temps for house plants in hard to reach places. The battery lasts for ages (over a year) and are replaceable coin batteries. I don’t think the fertiliser reading is accurate but the other readings are very useful.

I had given it a five star review earlier after having purchased 18 of the monitors. However I am revising the rating down to one star. 

The app decides not to make any contact with the majority of the monitors anymore, even after replacing the batteries and performing a reset. Pity as I did like the app and the monitors.

I’ve used the app for a few months and it’s done wonders for my jade plants. Turns out I was under watering them and the soil fertilizer level was too low. I was so impressed I bought 2 more of the sensors and had no problem adding them to the app and setting up the plant types. Now to heal my sad looking 25 year old ficus.

Since the latest update the device no longer connects to the app. This used to be a great gadget and has helped my house plants thrive, but at the moment only 1 star, due to it not working. Please take the time to address the problem and I will increase my rating.
My device seems to be up and running again, I don’t know why because no update has happened. Anyway, working well.
