## What is Flowlog?

Flowlog brings your work income and your everyday money into one app - and now, the money you share with other people.

Three things, one account:

WORKLOG - track what you earn
- Multiple employers and income sources in one place
- Log by hours, days or piece work; add work sites
- Schedule shifts ahead of time and let the worklog write itself when the shift ends
- Automatic payout tracking with detailed breakdowns
- Export a statement-style image of selected worklogs

MONEYLOG - track where it goes
- 10 account types: bank, debit card, credit card, cash, e-wallet, prepaid, virtual, buy-now-pay-later, investment and money you have lent or borrowed
- Sub-accounts and supplementary cards, so each card has its own balance
- 40 currencies with live rates, plus 35 coins for crypto accounts
- Income, expenses, transfers, refunds, reimbursements, split bills and lending - with proper double-entry behaviour behind the scenes
- Split one purchase across several accounts - the gift card and the credit card, on the same receipt
- Instalments for credit card and BNPL purchases, with per-period tracking
- Pre-authorised expenses: record what your bank held for petrol, hotel deposits or car hire, then confirm the real charge later - or release it

SHARE IT - money that involves other people
- Shared ledgers for a trip, a share house, a dinner. Everyone adds what they paid; Flowlog works out who owes whom and settles it in the fewest transfers
- One-off ledgers and recurring ones - close the month, agree the number, start the next period clean
- The people you share with do not need the app. Send a link, they open it in a browser and they are in
- Joint accounts: share a real account with someone so you both record into the same balance
- Only your share of a shared expense counts toward your own budget and analysis - paying for the table does not blow up your month

PLAN AHEAD
- Budgets by period, with category limits and optional rollover
- Safe-to-spend: what is actually free today after everything committed
- A one-off top-up for the period when something unusual comes along, without rewriting the whole budget
- Savings goals, including balance-linked goals that track a real account
- A Plans tab that gathers everything due - card bills, instalments, loan repayments, recurring rules - and forecasts your balance day by day
- Split a recurring bill - subscriptions, family plans, shared rent - and each period their share is recorded as money owed to you

STAY ON TOP OF IT
- Reconcile any account against your bank statement, with suggestions for where a difference is hiding - and undo it if you got it wrong
- Debt payoff planner with snowball, avalanche or your own order, showing your debt-free date and total interest
- Import your history from 14 bookkeeping apps and spreadsheet formats, with a preview and one-tap undo
- Export everything to CSV or Excel, any time

BUILT FOR REAL LIFE
- Works fully offline; syncs across your devices when you are back online
- English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, switchable inside the app
- Due-date reminders for card bills, instalments and loans, plus a period total for your budget
- Home screen shortcuts, and a home layout you can rearrange by holding a tile

PERFECT FOR
- Anyone who wants a clear picture of what they own, what they owe and where it goes
- Flatmates, couples and travelling groups who keep lending each other money
- People juggling multiple accounts, cards or currencies
- PAYG employees and ABN contractors
- Casual, part-time and full-time workers
- Freelancers and self-employed professionals

Flowlog is free to use. An optional Premium subscription unlocks advanced features such as data export, the debt payoff planner, cash-flow forecasting, refunds and reimbursements, shift scheduling, split payments, joint accounts and larger shared ledgers.

### 5/5 — Best one

*2026-08-08*

This is the best record map I ever use

### 5/5 — five stars

*2025-10-28*

Really like this app! Super easy to use and perfect for keeping track of all my side jobs and pay. I don’t have to stress about writing things down anymore — everything’s in one spot. Love the simple layout and the payout breakdowns are super clear. Definitely makes life easier if you’re juggling different gigs!

### 5/5 — Very user-friendly, export feature needed

*2025-10-21*

Love the intuitive design and how easy it is to track transactions. However, it really needs an export function to download reports as CSV or PDF files. Hope the developers can add this essential feature soon.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.1.1 — 2026-08-30

SETTLING UP - no more chasing
• A settlement no longer waits forever for the other person. Flowlog nudges them,
warns a day ahead, and confirms it after a week if nobody says otherwise. Set
3, 7 or 14 days per ledger, or turn it off and keep confirming by hand.
• The receiver can always stop it. "I haven't received it" pauses the countdown
and tells the payer - nothing else changes, and confirming still works the
  moment the money turns up.
• Marking a settlement and writing it into your own books is now one action:
  tap, pick the account, done.
• A settlement written into your books carries a category breakdown - the amount
is split across the ledger categories behind it, so it lands where it belongs
in your budget and your analysis instead of as one lump.

SHARED LEDGERS
• Pay for one shared entry from several of your own cards, the same way you can
  for an ordinary purchase.
• Recording in a currency other than the ledger's: type the ledger amount and the
entry amount follows the rate, or the other way round. Both stay editable, and
  nothing is guessed for you.
• Money someone owes you can be collected into an account in a different currency
  - you type what actually landed, not our idea of the rate.
• Water, electricity and internet are three separate categories now. Entries
already filed under the old combined one still read the way you recorded them.
• Splitting is offered even when only one other person is on the entry - fronting
the whole bill for one friend is exactly the case that needs it.
• The settle-up page lists every earlier period rolled into this one, each with a
button to jump straight to it.
• Ledger totals now show up with no connection.

PLANS AND RECURRING BILLS
• A shared ledger entry can tick off a planned item, or one period of a recurring
bill. Your flatmate paid the internet this month - that period is done, and the
ledger keeps tracking the money side.
• Planned items and recurring rules can carry the people and the merchant, not
just the amount and the category.
• Fixed: "Record it now" on a recurring rule settles the period that is actually
due, "Skip this period" skips the right one, and editing a rule no longer
  rewinds its schedule.

BUDGET
• A one-off top-up on a category can now raise your overall budget by the same
amount - new money - or leave the total where it is, taking the room out of
  everything else.
• Rollover has two settings: carry only what last period left over, or keep
accumulating the way it did before.

SIGNED IN WITH APPLE AND HID YOUR EMAIL?
• An invitation sent to your real address can now be linked to your account in
one tap, and it lands in the right place from then on. Settings lists every
linked address, and you can unlink any of them.

WHEN SOMETHING IS DOWN
• No connection and a service problem now behave identically: one full-screen
notice you can collapse into a slim banner, and open back up whenever you want.

ALSO
• Suggestions while recording pick up a new habit after a few days instead of
  waiting for weeks of history.
• Tags you never gave a colour are visible again in light mode.
• Many fixes across editing entries, categories, pickers and account displays.

### 2.1.0 — 2026-08-25

What's New in 2.1.0

SHARED LEDGERS - the big one
• Split expenses with anyone: a trip, a share house, a dinner, a project. Everyone
adds what they paid, and Flowlog works out who owes whom - then settles the whole
group in the fewest possible transfers.
• Ledgers can be one-off or recurring. Recurring ones close by period: agree the
number for this month, lock it in, start the next one clean.
• Close the books when the number is final. Amounts are fixed at that point, and
everyone gets told exactly what they owe.
• Settle in one go, in both directions - "I have transferred it" and "I have received
it" are both things you can start.
• A settlement can post straight into a real account, in whichever currency you want.
• Only your own share of a shared expense counts toward your budget and your analysis.
Paying for the table no longer blows up your month.

THEY DO NOT NEED THE APP
• Send a link. The other person opens it in a browser, signs in with an emailed code
and is in the ledger - no download, no account to create first.
• They can add expenses, see the split and confirm settlements from the web.
• If they later want the full app, the same email upgrades into a real account and
everything they already recorded comes with them.

JOINT ACCOUNTS
• Share a real account with someone. Both of you record into the same balance, and
both see the same running total.
• Export a statement-style image of the shared spending for any period.

SPLIT PAYMENTS
• Pay for one purchase from several accounts - the gift card and then the credit card,
on the same receipt. Each part sits in its own account, and the purchase still reads
  as one thing.
• Pre-authorisations work per account, so a deposit held on one card can be confirmed
  or released on its own.

SHIFT SCHEDULING
• Put your shifts in ahead of time. When a shift ends, the worklog writes itself -
hours, site, role and pay rate included.
• Change of pay rate, a skipped shift, a bulk delete - all handled, and you get told
when a shift has turned into a worklog.

BUDGETS
• Safe-to-spend now answers "what can I spend today" rather than just "what is left".
• Give this period a one-off top-up when something unusual comes along, instead of
  rewriting the whole budget.

ALSO
• Rearrange your Moneylog home tiles by holding one and dragging.
• A floating add button that stays reachable while you scroll.
• Export your Moneylog analysis as a long image.
• Clear any text field in one tap.
• Many fixes across recording, editing, budgets and account display.

### 2.0.1 — 2026-08-08

What's New in 2.0.1

CRYPTO ACCOUNTS, MORE COMPLETE
• Debit cards on crypto accounts. Two funding models, applied automatically per
platform: cards that spend your account balance directly (Binance, Coinbase, OKX,
Kraken, KuCoin, CoinSpot, CoinJar, MetaMask) and cards that hold their own balance
and need topping up (Crypto.com, Ledger CL, imToken).
• Exchanges can now hold fiat balances too - the cash sitting in your exchange account
is money, and now you can record it.
• Three new transfer types: buy crypto, sell back to fiat, and swap between coins.
• 35 coins, up from 30, with hourly prices from CoinGecko.
• Fixed: transactions in USDT, USDC, DOGE, LINK, AVAX, HBAR, SHIB, PEPE, NEAR and
ATOM were rejected when saving. Any four-letter ticker now works everywhere.

SEARCH
• Search your transactions, accounts, worklogs and payouts. Works alongside the
filters you already have, rather than replacing them.

MONEY, MORE ACCURATE
• Overdue bills and planned items now stay reserved in your budget until you deal
with them, instead of quietly freeing up money you still owe.
• Savings and transaction sub-accounts can each be counted in or out of your net
  worth separately.
• Pre-authorisations show the date you confirmed them, and a confirmation can now
  be undone.
• Reconcile tells the difference between "nothing has changed since your last check"
and "there is new activity, just not due yet".
• Deleting a transaction that a recurring rule created brings that period back as
something to handle, instead of making it disappear.

ALSO
• Reminders for plans, budgets and savings goals no longer all arrive as "bill
reminder"; each has its own type and can be managed separately.
• Data export now includes a sub-accounts sheet, so cards without a balance of
their own are no longer invisible in your export.
• Many fixes across recording, editing and account display.

### 2.0.0 — 2026-08-07

What's New in 2.0.0

Flowlog now does your everyday money, not just your work income.

MONEYLOG - a complete bookkeeping module
• Record income, expenses, transfers, refunds, reimbursements, split bills and lending between you and other people
• 10 account types including credit cards, e-wallets, buy-now-pay-later and prepaid cards, with sub-accounts and supplementary cards
• 40 currencies with live rates, so multi-currency accounts add up correctly
• Categories, merchants, members and tags, with smart suggestions based on how you actually record
• Pre-authorised expenses - for petrol, hotel deposits and car hire, where the bank holds one amount and charges another later. Record the held amount now, confirm the real one when it lands, or release it if nothing was taken. Your balance updates either way.
• Transfer fees can be charged on top of the amount or taken out of it, with the arriving amount worked out for you, across currencies too

PLANNING
• Budgets by period with category limits and optional rollover
• Savings goals, including goals that track a real account balance
• New Plans tab: everything that is due in one list, plus a day-by-day balance forecast and a safe-to-spend figure
• Instalment plans for credit card and BNPL purchases
• Split a recurring bill - subscriptions, family plans, shared rent. Choose who's in, split evenly or set each person's amount, and pick which account and currency each person pays into. Every period, their share is recorded as money owed to you.

NEW TOOLS
• Reconcile - check any account against your bank statement; Flowlog points at the transactions most likely to explain a difference, and you can undo a reconciliation if you got it wrong
• Debt payoff - snowball, avalanche or your own order, with your debt-free date and total interest. Balances already on an instalment plan are not charged interest twice.
• Import - bring your history in from 14 bookkeeping apps and spreadsheet formats, preview every row before it lands, and undo a whole batch in one tap
• Export - all your data to CSV or Excel whenever you want

ALSO IN THIS RELEASE
• Choose whether Flowlog opens on Worklog or Moneylog
• Switch between English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese without leaving the app
• Due-date reminders for card bills, instalments and loan repayments, plus a period total telling you what the last budget period actually cost
• Home screen quick actions
• Worklog analytics rebuilt, with new insight cards and drill-down
• Many fixes across worklogs, payouts and account balances

### 1.3.0 — 2026-07-05

• Work Sites: add work sites to your employments, set a default site, and link each worklog to a site. You can also filter worklogs by site.
• Worklog Image Export (Premium): export selected worklogs as a statement-style image for easy sharing.
• UI refinements and bug fixes, including correct rate display when editing a worklog.
