I would recommend to anyone who wanted resources! The video lessons are very helpful, the lessons available are extensive and more and more are being added every week. Hats off to the developers for creating a wonderful resource for Punjabi learners! However, I have a very small thing that I would appreciate the developers kindly taking into consideration; when I open ‘vocab’ sections of lessons I have already completed, the “you completed the vocabulary for this course / hanji” notification pops up on every single card and you have to click off of the pop up every single time if you want to see a new card. (I assume this is something that is just a small bug and doesn’t really detract from Fluently’s rich value as a resource, but if there were a way to remove this pop-up I think it would be a lot easier to acquire vocab) Thank you for making learning Punjabi so fun and accessible with this app! ### 5/5 — Best Punjabi app available! *2023-06-28, version 2.0.4* By far the best Punjabi app available. The sentence “My house is near (the) station” it always says is wrong even though is the same as the “correct answer”. I would also like a way to contact Fluently directly. I’ve had to delete and reinstall the app multiple times because of this. ### 5/5 — Very helpful *2020-06-09* The only app I could find that teaches the basics of speaking Punjabi in a fun, interactive and simplified way. There is a 1 month option for £5.99 but when I subscribe through Apple Pay it says it costs £6.99. So that needs correcting, also the colours part is a little confusing, it would be useful for just bold colour squares rather than objects of different colours as it becomes guess work. Other than that I think this app is actually great, I’ve learnt so much in such a short amount of time so I definitely recommend ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — I have lost my patience. *2026-01-01, version 4* The Maa Boli AI has stopped responding. I have reached out to the fluently team via TikTok Instagram and Facebook but have not had any help. ### 1/5 — No support *2023-01-15, version 2.0.4* I accidentally logged out and there is absolutely so way of logging back in so I’m essentially paying for nothing. I’ve tried to email them multiple times but no response in months. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2020-02-14, version 2.0.1* I wanted access so subscribe but it won’t let me. Paid for 1 month subscription and won’t be continuing after. ### 2/5 — Punjabi learning accessible *2019-06-08* First of all, I would like to thank you for making Punjabi language learning more accessible for those who live abroad. It is no secret that finding resources for Punjabi is extremely difficult online. Other languages for example Hindi have many options available while those who want to learn. Punjabi on the other hand still has a long way to go, but this just another step in the right direction. I would like to agree with others concerns and say this app is expensive. Therefore, I cannot use it. But I love the idea behind the app and if I have some income left over to spare will consider purchasing a few more lessons. ### 2/5 — Steep Pricing *2019-03-17* This app is an absolutely amazing idea and is much needed for the preservation of Punjabi within first and second generation punjabis living abroad. However, the subscription pricing is much too expensive and those that need this app the most are often the ones without much money of their own (Punjabi youth specifically). This app is the closest to Duolingo for Punjabi you can probably get. I haven’t gotten very far into the lessons, but the foundational basics are great. It helped me improve a bit in my punjabi. However it has several flaws. Under possessive pronouns if you enter the correct answer for “near their town” it reads it as incorrect and won’t let you move forward. Grammar sections are really great but a bit repetitive. I love how it is in english if that makes sense as I don’t really need to learn the script letters and just need to know how to pronounce words. Wish there was some kind of implementation that would give you an overall test because I don’t remember much of what i have learnt.
