### 3/5 — So,so,😐

*2017-11-11, version 1.85*

Really interesting but maybe a little more stuff to do?I mean I'm not saying it to be mean! 🙁 l just LIKE it.😶by the way...they didn't spell "background" wrong! So whoever said they did spell "background" wrong you're the one who is WRONG!😡

### 3/5 — Ok

*2017-09-24*

This game is ok very relaxing but I do not really get the point of the app😵

### 4/5 — Very elegant

*2017-01-25*

Nice app, crashes sometimes but works well when I need it.

### 4/5 — Works as expected

*2016-03-31*

Doesn't offer a lot, but it does what it's supposed to: render reflective ripples and play soothing audio.

### 4/5 — Calming!

*2013-10-19, version 1.82*

Fluid is a nice calming app, that is simulated water play with a full set of customizable features. You can use the preselected river rocks, or use a picture of your liking from the camera roll. Music is easy to select from your iPad/iPhone music tab (I used iTunes radio) or the environmental music that comes with the app. It would be fun to use this with a picture of the child I am working with so they can view themselves or use the app as a precursor for sensory sensitive kids before real media play. One nifty feature is to throw a coin in the pool to make a wish, and you never know, it may come true!

### 4/5 — Hilarious!

*2012-08-17*

Take a picture of inside the toilet and use it as the backround! It looks like your playing in it!

### 4/5 — Amazing :)

*2011-12-26*

This app is AMAZING! It's sooo realistic and fun to play with when your feeling stressed or when your bored! The only down thing is that they should have more choose of music as the same old same old gets a bit annoying, but that's the only bad thing! It's works really good on the iPad and with my strawberry background it's amazing! Which by the way is called wallpapers hd and it's really good I would recommend this app and wallpapers hd to any great people!!!

### 3/5 — Very nice!!!

*2011-10-28*

I love it! Very relaxing too. Could you change the 5 fingers to get the options? Its very difficult to get the 5 fingers on the screen...please? Thanks. Good work. :))

### 5/5 — Amazing!!

*2011-06-09*

I love this! It makes me relaxed at night so I can fall asleep faster, it's fun, it's also cool and awesome!! But I want you to add one thing to the options menu, can you please add the option water sounds? I want to hear the water when I move it with my fingers but sometimes I dont want to see please add that!!

### 5/5 — Fun App

*2011-05-29*

Cool to kill some time with.

### 4/5 — 3 1/2 stars

*2011-04-15*

This is really relaxing however the music only last for approx 3 mins and then nothing just silence. I like to use it when going to sleep so your just about relaxed and then you have to go out of the app and back in again to start the music!! Big flaw I think. Please update it so it repeats the song or has two/ three that it plays repeatedly.

### 4/5 — Great app! One problem...

*2011-04-04*

When I downloaded this app I was able to use images from my photo library. However now when I open the app. And press 'Photo from album' it comes up the words 'photo library' and nothing else...

Otherwise it's an awesome app!!!

### 4/5 — Realistic--but now: a vague checkerboard

*2011-02-23*

Please get rid of filmy opening menu. I have enjoyed this app through various updates. Now, however, when I touch and stroke the pool, I can often see a small, vague checkerboard grid under my finger. I never saw that before, so I know it's possible not to have that. Please fix. (iPod Touch 4G with up-to-date software).

### 5/5 — Seriously Cool

*2011-01-25*

So beautiful life like. The music is soft and truly enjoyable. I don't hand out 5 stars often but you guys deserve it! Well done.

### 2/5 — It's ok

*2011-01-09*

I found this game ok not really the best so I think I would probably rate this game a 2 * game

### 5/5 — Wierd

*2010-12-28*

The water shakes to much when I just touch one little spot it's hurts your eyes. It should just have one little ring where I touched it not the whole screen going haywire!

### 5/5 — Simple & Awesome

*2010-12-08*

Such a simple app with no real purpose other than to look cool! The graphics are breathe taking and it's just plain fun! You can also uplaod your own photo as the background.

Simple, awesome and FREE!

### 2/5 — Problem

*2010-12-06*

When I take a photo and try to use it, the background just turns black. Also on fluid 2 it crashes when I open app

### 3/5 — Complete Waste of Time. But...

*2010-11-29*

When I downloaded this app I knew it was never gonna be AMAZING; but afterwards I spent at least 15 minutes mucking about on the thing! The only thing which I'd change is to be able to change the music + to be able to have different backgrounds ready installed on the app itself- I'd rather not have my mates faces at the bottom of some water while a yellowy haze was drifting above them (looks a little like pee:L)
Overall though, nice idea :)

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Wrong in the description

*2017-07-19, version 1.85*

THIS DOES NOT MAKE YOUR REAL BACKGROUND FLUID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

### 1/5 — It's still crud

*2009-07-12, version 0*

I don't know why people are saying the original one is back because it's not. The update let's you change the speed which helps a little but it is still glitchy and too thick. If also still has the brown tint to it and seems unrealistic as compared to before and I've tried resetting and reinstalling and everything. How hard is it to make an update to put it back to normal the way it was before? Oh, that's right...you're not going to do that because you want us to get aggravated enough to buy fluid 2...forget that!

### 1/5 — Good app gone bad

*2009-07-09*

am so disappointed in this app. I like many others here loved it before the recent update. Now I just don't use it. It's awful. I miss the stones!! Don't bother downloading this version. I'm not even sure why they are still offering it. Clearly the makers just want everyone to get fluid 2, but I'm about to delete this one, and won't be downloading the next on principle. A good app gone bad.

### 1/5 — How many negative reviews does it take?

*2009-07-01, version 0*

I deleted the updated free version and reinstalled it on my iPhone 3G, as suggested in several reviews. Although the performance is slightly better, the free version is still profoundly inferior to the "pre-update" version. The water never stops moving and appears jittery. This is not relaxing at all.

I continue to be astounded by the lack of response from the developer. It appears as though he hasn't read the overwhelmingly negative reviews at all. His website briefly refers to "a few" emails he received about problems with the update.

It's a shame... This was my favorite app before the update. I've deleted this app now but will keep checking back to see if the developer gets his act together.

### 1/5 — A way 4 some users to get old version back!!!!!!

*2009-06-30, version 0*

I agree with most others here. This used to be a great app but it has been ruined by the latest update. Fortunately I was able to put the old one back on my iPhone. Maybe this will help others as well. I downloaded update direct to iPhone and saw it turned to CRAP! So I deleted from iPhone, then open iTunes, the app in my library had not been updated yet, and won't be till they fix this!!! connect iPhone and have iTunes resync the old one back to iPhone! Hope this helps others.
To the developer,
I hope this was simply an update gone wrong and not an attempt to get people to switch to the new paid version!

### 1/5 — Update is terrible, ruins the app

*2009-06-28, version 0*

I've had the earlier version on my iPhone for a couple months and I loved it, it was a 5-star app. It worked fine on my 3G with OS 3. When I saw that an update was available, I downloaded it using my iPhone (not my PC). Sadly, the update completely destroyed the app. There is no interactivity at all, just a clunky fake-looking shimmer in the water that does not change at all when you touch it. I don't know what they did, but this is not an update, it's an app-killer. Since I didn't use iTunes on my PC to do the update, I was able to restore the older version (1.2) by deleting the updated app on my iPhone, then synching my iPhone and reinstalling the older version from the PC. It works fine. So my advice is *do not* download the update, keep the older version, and if you don't have it, don't download this version (1.3), it's totally not worth it. Wait for a fix to the new version, and then don't download that until other users try it out and report that it works.

### 1/5 — Updates aren't always for the better

*2009-05-17*

The best feature about fluid was it's simplicity and the fact that I could keep my infant entertained without her getting into settings etc.

With the latest update it only takes seconds for those 4 little fingers to open up the settings screen and wreak havoc.

It's not the type of app that will keep adults entertained for minutes but prior to this update it did the trick for those curious infants.

Please make a different way to access settings... Maybe holding four fingers for 5 seconds or something. Until then my little one won't be using this again.

### 1/5 — Looks cool, but only 30seconds entertainment tops.

*2009-05-16*

This is nothing more than a demo of what graphics acceleration the iPhone is capable of.

Only worthwhile if you want to show off your application count.

### 1/5 — Fluid Review by JSW

*2009-05-04*

At the start it seems pretty cool with the ripple of the water and i guess if u are really really bored and everything else in this store does not interest you, play this. In fluid, multi-touch is not supported, if you move the touch or i phone, dont expect it to be like Zippo ligter, nothing happens. and after u play for like 30 seconds, the water gets less!

### 1/5 — Another Useless App - Pointless

*2009-05-03*

Five second wonder. What do you to with it? Swish your your finger accross, but the effect us very unlife like, more like jelly than water, also no sound or option to change background. Take a looks at Koi Carp on hear and you will see a truly different level of the water theme. Granted you have to pay unlike this one, but at least it's worth it. Will now be deleted after I finish this review.

What is it with Apple these days? They have gone from an original, out of the box thinking company that went for quality of product over quantity. No wonder they can claim 'One Billion' app downloads when the have an ever increasing quantity of crap like this.

Granted their are some very good and clever apps to be had, but more and more meaning less drivel is being accepted by apple.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Massively underrated

*2020-12-28*

So calming and relaxing. I love it. Thanks for updating for new iOS versions too as I thought this app would’ve got discontinued

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2020-01-02*

So relaxing, helps ease anxiety. Could do with a few fish swimming around and some bubbles and ripples too. Love the fluidity of the water as you touch the screen with out getting your hands wet.

### 5/5 — Nostalgic

*2019-12-19, version 1.85*

My friend had this on his iPod Touch like a decade ago and this app always stuck with me.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2019-12-11*

This app works very well and I only had it for about 10 minutes and yet it works really well and looks realistic.

### 5/5 — Good app

*2019-07-12*

Very peaceful game but it would be good if you could know and change the music

### 5/5 — Music

*2019-05-15*

I’ve always liked this app but can someone please advise what the background music is?? It’s so lovely but I can’t find out what it is! 😩

### 5/5 — Wowza

*2017-10-21, version 1.85*

Most relaxing music, and amazing graphics!

### 5/5 — Classic app!

*2014-02-20*

This was the first app I ever installed on my old iPhone 3G 5 years ago!! It might be simple and not have any real benefit but it's a classic app from last decade that reminds me if the good times!

### 5/5 — Sweet

*2012-03-22*

This is a fun app to play with

### 5/5 — It does what it says!

*2011-11-23, version 1.82*

For all of you who are disappointed with the app.. What did you expect?😒
First of all, it's free. And it isn't necessarily for entertainment purposes. I think it's a lovely app. 😊 It is really relaxing. And I 💙 that you can put whatever picture you want.
I would say that the cons are:
1. Same music, no choices to change. Does turn on and off, however. 🎶
2. Ripples could be a little bit more exaggerated and could ripple when shaken?👋
3. Also the option menu comes up with you press all five fingers on the screen a. That is sometimes hard to fit all 5 b. that's what makes the ripples fun. It should be a double tap or something.👆
However, it is relaxing. Fun to play with. More settings would be nice. But its FREE.. Does EXACTLY what it says! Download it if you choose!😄
