## What is Flutter Wizard?

Flutter Wizard teaches Flutter and Dart the way they are actually learned: by watching an idea move, then reading the code that moved it.

Most courses hand you paragraphs or a three-hour video. This one animates what a constraint does, what a rebuild costs, what an isolate is for — and only then shows the code. Beginner lessons are capped at a line of text per step on purpose.

WHAT IS IN IT

• 135 lessons across 18 tracks, from "what is a variable" through layout, state management and animation, to performance engineering, platform channels and shaders
• Dart 3 properly: records, patterns, sealed classes and generics
• State management compared honestly — setState, Provider, Riverpod and BLoC, and when each one is the wrong choice
• 20 real apps taken apart and rebuilt in Flutter — Instagram's story ring, WhatsApp's message bubble, Uber's ride sheet, Google Maps' sheet, Slack, Notion, Strava and more. Every one runs inside the app, next to the code that produced it, with notes on what a reviewer would ask
• A library of 80 widgets, each with its own animation and a runnable example
• 45 errors you will actually hit, with why they happen and how to fix them — including the Gradle, Xcode and App Store failures no tutorial covers
• 26 packages explained, so every line of a real pubspec makes sense
• A concept map of 129 ideas and what depends on what, so you can see what is open to you and what is still ahead

IT ADAPTS TO WHAT YOU HAVE PROVEN

Progress is tracked by concept, not by video watched. Answer a checkpoint and the map records what you have actually demonstrated; get something wrong and it shows you the gap rather than the grade. The path ahead is built from what you are missing, so a beginner and an experienced developer do not walk the same route.

LEARN BY DOING, NOT BY WATCHING

• A playground for running Flutter code and seeing the widget tree change
• Five games in the arcade that drill the vocabulary until it sticks
• Checkpoints that diagnose rather than score

FREE, AND HONEST ABOUT WHY

Every lesson is free, for everyone, permanently. Ads between lessons pay for them, which is why the free app asks you to stay online — an ad cannot load without a connection. Wizard Pro removes the ads and lifts that requirement, so the whole course works offline. It unlocks no lessons, because none of them are locked.

Made for beginners starting from zero, developers moving over from React Native or native mobile development, and anyone who has shipped Flutter and wants to understand what the framework is doing underneath.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.2 — 2026-10-05

A smoother start, and animations that look like the real thing.

• Opening the app is now one smooth motion: the wizard hat you see at
launch rises straight into the loading screen
• Every widget in the library has a new animation that shows the actual
widget — Text, Icon, Card, Chip, RefreshIndicator and more
• The rebuilds of well-known app screens now look and move like the
  real thing
• Every Flutter release on the timeline has its own animation
• The Wizard Pro renewal price now sits right under the subscribe button
• A one-time age question before sign-in

Fixes

• Some lesson animations showed blank cards or cut-off text

### 1.2.1 — 2026-09-24

Every lesson, rewritten to be easy to follow.

• All 135 lessons now explain every new word the first time it appears,
in plain language — no more notes that assume you already know Flutter
• Every checkpoint question and answer explanation has been rewritten the
  same way
• A short ad now comes after every four lessons, from whichever chapters
you are learning in. When it is time, the Next lesson button becomes
"Watch an ad to continue", and Back to learning is always there too
• The app now tells you when a new version is out, and shows what is new
  in it
• Wizard Pro removes the ads entirely, and lets the whole course work
  offline

Fixes

• Watching an ad to the end now opens the next lesson or chapter every time
• "Restore a purchase" now tells you what it found
• Cancelling a purchase no longer leaves the button spinning
• The ad offer no longer showed "+0 XP"

### 1.2.0 — 2026-09-23

Learn in your own language, a timeline of Flutter itself, and fewer
interruptions along the way.

• Ten languages, switchable any time from the You tab — English, Hindi,
Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic and
Indonesian. Every screen in the app follows, not just the lessons
• A timeline of Flutter's own releases: 31 stable versions, oldest first,
each with a short animation of what it changed
• Ads no longer interrupt you between lessons. There is now one short ad
offered at the end of every second chapter, it is always optional, and
watching it pays you 50 bonus XP
• Locked a chapter you want early? Open it by watching one ad, or with
  Wizard Pro
• The chapters you still need first are now tappable — go straight to one,
finish it, and come back to a shorter list
• Wizard Pro can now be bought in the app: no ads, and the whole course
  works with no connection
• Eleven lessons that had no picture on any step now have one

Fixes

• The Wizard Pro button stays on screen instead of sitting below six cards
• A lesson step with more text below the fold now says so
• The concept map pinches out far enough to see the whole map
• Cards on the timeline and in the toolbelt play their animation when opened
• A lock now says what will open it, instead of an empty list
• The phone number field highlights the moment you tap it
• Ads recover on their own after a dropped connection instead of staying
blank for the rest of the session

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-17

The curriculum more than doubled.

• 135 lessons across 18 tracks, up from 57 across 13
• Dart 3, properly: records, patterns, sealed classes and generics
• Reaching everyone: accessibility, ten languages, tablets and foldables
• Release engineering: versions, flavors, signing keys, pipelines and secrets
• Data for real: SQLite, sockets, Firebase, push and crash reporting
• Making money: ads, in-app purchases, and which payment rail you may use
• Further out: video, documents, game loops, 3D, and building on a model

Also new:

• 80 widgets in the library, every one animated
• 45 errors you will actually hit — including the Gradle, Xcode and App Store
  failures that no tutorial covers
• 20 real apps pulled apart and rebuilt. Google Maps, Slack, Notion, Strava
and Robinhood join the first fifteen
• 26 packages in the toolbelt, so every line of a real pubspec is explained

The concept map was rebuilt to stay readable at 129 ideas: more room between
nodes, rows ordered so far fewer lines cross, and a button that fits the whole
map on screen.

### 1.0.0 — 2026-09-15
