Or you can literally just drag and drop elements accidentally all over, it’s painful, until that parts fixed just use a keyboard and mouse 🙌🏻 ### 3/5 — Latest update has issues on PC,Mac and iPad *2024-08-07* Seems like the same bugs across the board. This app is a game changer I used to use glide but I recently switched and this is a way faster and “pro” app. This is such a great app on laptop. But I don't feel like they didn't put effort to port this on a mobile device. I have a iPad M2 Pro and whenever I use apple pencil it start lagging and will eventually crash after 2 minutes. So I hope you fix these few broken things and work a bit more on your mobile port. Sincerely, FlutterFlow Team ### 5/5 — FlutterFlow App Issues *2023-09-30* I really like this App but I’m having issues with the custom function it run perfectly fine on the web but when I save it in the app it say “variable not declared” that is one problem and now the App is have the error and it’s not letting me do anything, Error: “FlutterFlow Version is Out of Date, you are on older version of FlutterFlow than the most recent edited version of this project. Please refresh the page to use the latest version.” The error has two buttons dashboard and refresh the dashboard work but the refresh doesn’t. I have deleted the app reinstall and it still saying the same thing. My project works fine on the web browser. I really like this app please help fix this problem for me. I am a college student studying Software Development and making apps right now will really help me out in my further career journey. Good stuff FF team. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Useless *2025-12-13* Menu items won’t work unless you double click. Have reset, rebooted and reinstalled and the templates are unusable, you can’t click on them, tap all day on those things and nothing happens. I’m actually trying to get a serious project done and this is making me look elsewhere. ### 1/5 — Latest update seems to be crashing. *2024-04-29* The previous versions worked well on my iPad but the latest update seems to crash upon loading. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work with existing projects *2024-04-16* There is a consistent issue where they seem to release updates to the primary platform without testing on the iPad, which renders any work you’ve done on the iPad inaccessible. You have to wait a few days or weeks for them to get back on the same page. Not really something accessible to a large amount of people. I guess they really don’t want their app being used… ### 2/5 — Flutterflow great, this app for flutterflow is alright *2024-11-13, version 5.0.10* I really love flutterflow, but the implementation on iPad has much to be desired. The app crashes when I change the screen size while testing. And most frustratingly, The scroll on margic keyboard overscrolls. Everytime I try to scroll one line in the left panel it scrolls all the way to the bottom, please fix this ### 2/5 — Needs improvement *2024-05-28, version 4.1.53* This app is useful but it is difficult to use on iPad (without keyboard). I like to design things whilst I’m on the train and I was excited to use flutter flow. Unfortunately it has some pitfalls: 1. Scrolling through pages and elements using the finger in most cases makes me drag elements to undesirable places 2. It’s missing a explicit undo button. With the amount of mistakes being made it would be nice to have a explicit undo button readily available to click 3. App does not work well with Apple Pencil. Using the pencil to click on elements do not work I would love to see these developments and one day be able to do all my designing through this app! ### 2/5 — Crashes on iPad *2023-12-27* I’m not sure what other peoples experiences are that use this on iPads but I have a new iPad Pro and it’s just constantly crashing. It freezes, doesnt respond to taps, and then crashes. I’m not sure if it’s the use of an Apple Pencil or what. Also, trying to scroll on certain pages is pretty much impossible. Trying to scroll on through widgets you have to perfectly drag from a non-tile area which can be kinda difficult if the whole part of the screen is filled with tiles. I would guess they need to implement a new method for touch screens where you have to hold the tile for a couple seconds to be able to drag it. Also trying to scroll on the app bar pop up doesnt work. Trying to load in new widgets/flows is pretty slow compared to an actual computer. Other than all that I can see how the app would be very useful but in its current state it’s very annoying and I just end up switching back to a laptop. ### 2/5 — Doesn’t work with existing projects *2023-10-14* FlutterFlow itself is terrific and I’m sure they are going to get it together and this will be a great tool. For the past two weeks, however, opening an existing project returns a “FlutterFlow version is out of date” error and the option to to refresh the project doesn’t work. Sincerely, FlutterFlow Team ### 3/5 — Crashes on iPad *2026-05-26* I was able to attempt to use the app for a day in a half with free-range but after I implemented the use of the AI app generator within the app, I was no longer able to use the option to create an app at my free-will. Every time I choose +create new project the item pops up and immediately closes disallowing creations. Now, AI is the only option I have to creating apps here. I cannot even upgrade my account or add my email for personalization for unlimited app creation. Along with no longer having access to sending help messages for these limitations. A slight bummer but I WAS already in the process of just learning to code all this myself so this downfall just further encourages me to do so; it just sucks I am unable to cut corners like everyone else instead of building active skills as it appears I must continue to do. But it’s a cute concept if it didn’t crash. Also maybe a more public school-aged centered version would be cool, where it explains how and WHY certain actions need to happen instead of bugs/crashes with little understanding why and not just where. Like a follow along game and instructional for new and returning developers. But I will continue using the app for fun and to see how far I can take the AI so that is why I am giving it three stars ### 3/5 — Doesn’t fit my Screen. I absolutely love that you’re not platform locked and are able tow download and export your code yourself, perfect for clients that want to self host on their own servers! I never thought I’d see the day where you can use an a— to build another app, not just a mockup but a fully functional and deployable app. ### 5/5 — 21Weeks and counting !!! *2025-08-13* Flutter flow is amazing ! Integrates with code as well, so you can always do custom components. Sometimes the mac version is a little buggy, but can always switch to browser if needed. ### 5/5 — The Best Thing of The Decade *2024-10-04* Update: FlutterFlow 5.0+ has made the entire app development process that much better. I am so glad I made the switch to FlutterFlow. It has a huge user base and amazing community educators (James NoCode is the best). If you are developing in anything other than FlutterFlow, stop and give it a serious try. FlutterFlow itself is the best doorway to rapid application development of the decade. Their app has just made that doorway even wider. It just keeps improving and solidifying its position through constant updates, great support, and a huge user base. ### 5/5 — So convenient! *2024-03-29* I love being able to work on things with my app with this tool. It’s not as easy to use as working on a computer, but that’s more because it’s an iPad app. If you’re doing basic work or anything creative in FF, this app is super handy to have available ### 5/5 — The fact this is possible is mind blowing *2024-01-05, version 4.1.19* I’m an app developer by trade and I’ve done this for 7 years. Having the ability to produce high quality web and mobile apps from a tablet is mind blowing to me. Literally the full process, end to end. I don’t think people realise the power they have at their finger tips, and no one has nailed it better than FlutterFlow. It just keeps improving and solidifying its position through constant updates, great support, and a huge user base. ### 5/5 — Game changer for startups *2023-11-01, version 4.1.6* The move to mobile and the native macOS Desktop app has really improved productivity. While there are minor inconveniences, such as no undo or redo buttons without a keyboard, the team is very responsive via email and GitHub. The integrated payment API and Firebase integration greatly simplify backend designs. When pulling my app code from GitHub I have to run clean up commands as their are a lot of deprecated methods. Since you can deploy to Apple Store and Google Play right from the app, it would be great to see this clean up happen automatically.
