## What is Flux HA Dashboard?

Flux is the most beautiful way to control your smart home with Home Assistant and Apple HomeKit — built natively for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV, with the polish of a first-party Apple app.

DESIGN DASHBOARDS YOU'LL LOVE
• Drag-and-drop builder with a free-form canvas — place anything, anywhere
• Per-device layouts: a tailored design for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV
• Beautiful tiles: buttons, gauges, thermostats, graphs, cameras, weather, calendar, energy flow, media players, and more
• Bring your home to the big screen — a dedicated Apple TV app that mirrors your dashboards exactly, navigable with the Siri Remote

DRAW YOUR HOME — FLOOR PLANS
• Sketch your actual floor plan with walls, doors, windows and rooms — crisp, to-scale vector drawing
• Furnish it from a library of objects — beds, sofas, tubs, vehicles and more — rotate, stretch and place freely
• Set it as a live dashboard backdrop and lay your controls right where they live

LIVING ARTWORK
• A library of premium SVG objects — lamps, fans, appliances, vehicles, tanks and more
• Map them to your entities so they come alive: lights glow in their real color, fans and washers spin when running, thermometers fill with temperature, tanks show their level
• Import your own SVGs and wire them up in seconds

CONTROL EVERYTHING
• Full light control: brightness, color and effects for RGB/WRGB bulbs
• Smart thermostats with multiple designs and instant, optimistic response
• Live camera feeds, media players, covers, locks — every Home Assistant domain

MUSIC, EVERYWHERE
• Play Apple Music straight from your device and send it across your speakers with AirPlay 2
• Multi-room grouping with per-speaker volume, shuffle, repeat and up-next queue
• Album art, scrubbing and living visualizers that dance to the beat

SMARTER HELPERS & WEATHER
• Build virtual devices that combine and calculate — group entities, sum, average, threshold and more — in plain language, no YAML
• Apple Weather built in: full daily and hourly forecasts with the metrics you choose

AUTOMATIONS, MADE SIMPLE — AND POWERFUL
• A visual "When → Only if → Do" builder that reads like plain English
• Branch with Cases: do different things in different situations
• Test any automation, watch it run, and trace exactly where it succeeded or failed
• Saved as real Home Assistant automations

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Connects directly to YOUR Home Assistant — local network or Nabu Casa
• No middle-man cloud, no account required — your data stays yours
• Full metric/imperial unit conversion for every value

Make your smart home look as good as it works.

### 2/5 — Don’t have time to create all new dashboards

*2026-08-16*

Was
hoping it would render my current dashboards sensibly. It did not.

**Developer response:** We have added an import HA dashboards feature. But it is impossible to show lovelace HA dashboards on an Apple TV as they have been designed. There is no mechanism to do it. I would appreciate you updating this review, as we actually cannot do what you're wanting, and we never claimed to be able to do it.

### 5/5 — Great Home Assistant Dashboard

*2026-06-29*

Works great on my iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV! I prefer building my layouts for the Apple TV on my iPad! This has ton of customization!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.0.0 — 2026-08-27

mport your Home Assistant dashboards. Open the dashboard menu → Import from Home Assistant. Flux reads your existing dashboards (UI-built or YAML) and rebuilds them as native Flux dashboards with the same arrangement — laid out for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV, fully editable, and your Home Assistant setup is never touched. You'll see exactly what converts before anything is created.

• Push to TV — while designing your Apple TV layout, see changes land on the TV live without leaving the editor
• Cover widgets animate position changes smoothly (and correctly for inverted covers)
• Rocket-launch and location automations now run reliably; sunrise/sunset triggers fixed; saved automations survive updates
• Faster, more reliable reconnect to Home Assistant
• Fixes for pairing timeouts, irrigation timed runs, and helper sensors with unusual values

### 1.0.5 — 2026-07-04

Push to TV — while designing your Apple TV layout, tap Push to TV to see changes appear live on the TV without leaving the editor.

• Cover widgets now animate position changes smoothly (and correctly for inverted covers)
• Rocket-launch and location automations now run reliably; sunrise/sunset triggers fixed; saved automations survive updates
• Faster, more reliable reconnect to Home Assistant
• Fixes for pairing timeouts, irrigation timed runs, and helper sensors with unusual values

### 1.0.4 — 2026-06-30

• Fixed widget stacks: buttons fill the stack and resize with it, never get cut off, and can be made smaller when their text is turned off.
• Calendar widget now shows the full month, matching how it looks while designing.
• The Launch widget now has a proper rocket icon and a description in the widget gallery.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-06-23

New features
Retro flip clock — new "Flip" clock style with animated split-flap cards for the time and the date.
Rocket launch widget — shows the next rocket launch with date, time, and a live countdown (data from Launch Library 2 / The Space Devs). Multiple countdown styles (Rounded, Mono, LED, animated Flip), per-element text sizes and colors, and country filtering.
Rocket launch automation trigger — fire any automation at liftoff (T-0) or a set number of minutes before, optionally limited to launches from chosen countries (e.g. only U.S. launches). Keeps the launch schedule fresh automatically, so scrubs and delays are picked up.
Image widgets can be buttons — attach entities to an image and set a tap action (toggle / open controls).
Calendar event creation: choose your calendar(s) — pick one or more calendars (Apple or Home Assistant) when adding an event; your choice is remembered and synced across devices, including Apple TV.
Media widget: AirPlay-capable speakers — only speakers that can actually play a stream URL (HomePod, Apple TV, Sonos, Cast, Music Assistant) are offered; Plex/NAS/Apple Music play with full transport control.
Apple Weather location picker — set a specific location for the Apple Weather card.
Auto-configures Home Assistant URL — sets your HA external/internal URL automatically from the address you connect with.
Fixes & improvements
Your settings now survive every update — fixed a bug where widget settings (tap/long-press actions, label styling, borders, etc.) could be lost on update, backup restore, undo, or Apple TV transfer.
Image widgets keep their picture — fixed images disappearing after an app update. Picked photos are now optimized on import (kept full-quality for display, compressed for storage) so they save and sync reliably across devices.
Editing is now truly WYSIWYG — widgets no longer shift position when you leave edit mode. The canvas is laid out identically while editing and viewing, so what you place is exactly where it stays.
Stacks adapt to the iPhone — a horizontal stack designed for iPad or Apple TV now automatically lays its widgets out vertically on the iPhone when a row would be too cramped, so members stay a usable size on every screen.
Full-screen graphs — now show real device history (including on/off devices as a step line), are legible on light and dark themes, and never show a blank/white screen.
Graph time axis — now shows real times instead of internal numbers.
Apple Music — fixed playback and now-playing; the card no longer disappears when you pick a speaker; AirPlay routing surfaced in the speaker picker.
Smart alignment guides — align to the true outer edge or center of other widgets, plus even-spacing/gap snapping.
Entity picker — area filter no longer reloads while scrolling; results no longer flicker.
Thermostat dial — larger and no longer clips or overlaps its text.
Crash fix — dictation when adding a calendar event no longer crashes.
Irrigation — manual zone control (scheduling temporarily disabled pending the dedicated Flux controller).
Connect screen — black background with the Flux logo.
Apple TV pairing — Apple TVs on the same Apple ID now pair automatically (no unnecessary QR scan); clearer guidance for multiple TVs.
