## What is Flux?

Most people drink water. Few drink it right.

Flux is the first hydration app built on circadian biology - the same neuroscience research discussed by leading scientists. It's not about drinking more. It's about drinking at the right time, in the right amount, for your body.

HOW FLUX WORKS

Your hydration needs aren't the same every hour of the day. Your brain, muscles, and metabolism follow a precise biological clock - and your water intake should too.

Flux calculates your personalized daily target based on:
- Body weight (ml/kg formula)
- Your wake and sleep times (circadian window)
- Training frequency and intensity
- Weather and ambient temperature
- Caffeine and alcohol intake

Then it tells you exactly when and how much to drink - from your morning protocol (500ml within 30 minutes of waking) to your evening cutoff (2-3 hours before sleep).

WHAT MAKES FLUX DIFFERENT

Every other water tracker asks you to log drinks. Flux tells you when to drink before you get thirsty. Because by the time you feel thirsty, you're already 1-2% dehydrated - that's a 10-20% drop in physical performance and a measurable decline in cognitive function.

- Circadian timing protocols, not random reminders
- Personalized to your body weight, schedule, and lifestyle
- Training adaptation, adjusts targets on workout days
- Weather-aware, live temperature and humidity adjustments
- Apple Health integration, automatic sync with your activity data
- Dynamic Island and Live Activities, your hydration status always visible
- Smart reminders, timed to your circadian window

THE SCIENCE

Flux is built on peer-reviewed research in hydration physiology and circadian biology. Our protocols reference published work from Stanford neuroscience research and leading hydration scientists including Dr. Samuel Cheuvront and Dr. Robert Kenefick.

We don't invent protocols. We implement the ones that already work.

FOR ATHLETES AND HIGH PERFORMERS

Flux is built for people who take performance seriously - athletes, biohackers, founders, and anyone optimizing their mental and

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 3.1.0 — 2026-07-23

Adding new location to get city temperature and adapt consequently

### 3.0.0 — 2026-06-15

Flux 3.0.0 is a complete native rebuild — faster, smoother, fully offline.

• Apple Health: logs every intake to the Water log (and removes it when you delete it), and reads your weight, sleep schedule, menstrual cycle and body temperature to tailor your daily goal.
• A goal that adapts in real time to weight, heat (Apple Weather), exercise, altitude, cycle, pregnancy and fever — fever now also estimated from Apple Watch wrist temperature.
• Home & Lock Screen widgets, plus a Live Activity / Dynamic Island countdown to your next sip.
• Reminders that follow your circadian pace, with an evening cut-off.
• English, French & German. iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision Pro.

### 2.2.0 — 2026-06-08

# What's New

## Smart Hydration Reminders
Flux now sends you local notifications when your daily intake starts falling behind. Reminders are scheduled based on your actual hydration deficit and your personal wake/sleep window — no alerts at night, no spam when you're on track. You can enable or disable them anytime from the new Notifications toggle in your Profile.

## Body & Rhythm Editor
Update your weight, wake time and sleep time directly from the Profile screen — no need to redo the full onboarding to tweak your settings.

## Clearer Day History Chart
The day view of your history now uses taller bars and cleaner axis labels for better readability, while keeping the familiar 3-hour buckets.

## Smoother Onboarding
  - Skip onboarding automatically if your profile is already set up
  - Onboarding is removed from the back stack once completed
  - Custom volumes and birth date are now preserved when re-submitting

## Quicker Intake Editing
Tap the amount itself in the add-water sheet to edit it — one less button to hit.

## Science Tab Polish
The circadian rhythm chart now uses a crisper linear curve with higher resolution (10-minute samples) for a more precise visualization.

## UI & Performance
  - Bottom navigation icons now respect dark mode theme colors
  - Updated app icon
  - Faster app startup (removed unused splash dependency)
  - Various bug fixes (goal fetching, routing edge cases)
