PLAN AROUND YOUR LIFE

• Match training to your gym equipment, schedule and available weight increments
• Build your own routines and custom exercises
• Follow Routine Library programs and swap exercises for the whole routine or one workout

CHOOSE YOUR STRENGTH PERIODIZATION

• Adaptive Block: follow goal-appropriate phases with completion and recovery checks

• Use optional Apple Health sleep, HRV and heart-rate context, with permission controlled by you

Fast startup and responsive Dashboard, Insights and history views keep your session moving.

### 5/5 — Great app for creating and tracking workouts

*2026-04-19*

Love this app to create workouts based on parameters, such as gym, muscle group, type of workout and duration. Then easily swap the exercises on the routine or individually on the day of. Really great UI to see, manage and track each exercise. Love the dashboard feature and muscle set frequency and volume graphs. Built in a way that naturally flows with the way I like to use a workout app and track progress. Highly recommend it! And I've tried Hevy, Alpha Progression, Gymverse and even made my own web based app. Flux takes the best of each workout app and improves on it.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the kind review and feedback! We've put a lot of thought into the workout flow and making it as seamless as possible while in the midst of a tough workout. Happy training!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 8.7.0 — 2026-09-15

Flux 8.7.0 updates the parts of the app you use most: Workout Complete, Routine Library programmes, the Dashboard Routine Overview, warm-ups in your active workout and the Generate Routine duration settings.

WORKOUT COMPLETE IS NOW A SET OF CARDS

Tap Finish Workout and instead of one long page you get cards you swipe through. First, rate how the workout felt. Next, your totals: time, weight moved, sets and exercises. Then one card per exercise showing what you planned beside what you actually did, how it compared with last time and your target for next time, with a quick 1–5 rating for that exercise. The final card shows the muscles you trained, as a body map or a chart. Save Workout stays at the bottom of every card, so you can save whenever you're ready.

Flux also saves your workout before it opens Workout Complete. If the save fails, your workout stays paused with a Couldn't Save Workout message and a Retry Save button. Your sets are still there and nothing is counted twice.

SWAP EXERCISES IN ROUTINE LIBRARY PROGRAMMES

Following a programme but your gym doesn't have the kit? Open a programme workout, tap the exercise and choose Swap. Flux asks whether to change it for the whole routine or just this workout. Choose the whole routine and every remaining workout for that day (every Push Day, for example) uses the new exercise, and the change stays if you repeat the routine. Choose just this workout and only that session changes. Workouts you've already completed stay exactly as you trained them.

You can also swap before you start: in Choose Routine, open a programme's details, swap what you need to, then tap Select Routine.

DASHBOARD ROUTINE OVERVIEW FOR GENERATED ROUTINES

The Routine Overview widget on your Dashboard used to give programmes a phase and progress bar but give generated routines only a workout list. Generated routines now get the same view: your current phase, your position (such as Wave 2 · Week 4 · Workout 2 of 4), a bar that fills as you complete workouts, and your next milestone.

SMARTER WARM-UPS IN YOUR ACTIVE WORKOUT

For compound lifts in generated workouts, the warm-up sets Flux adds are now sized to today's working weight, reps and effort, and built from the plates and increments in your gym setup. A hard 30 kg dumbbell press gets a proper ramp; a light barbell lift gets a short one. Change your first working weight during the workout and the warm-ups you haven't ticked off update to match, while the ones you've completed keep their weights.

GENERATE ROUTINE: CHOOSE YOUR SESSION LENGTH

The Duration setting when you generate a routine now offers 30 min, 30–45, 45–60, 60–75 and 75–90 minutes. New routines fit their time more reliably, automatic supersets are kept in check and weekly muscle balance is steadier. When a session still runs long, Flux now turns a set into a lighter, shorter-rest back-off set instead of removing it.

ALSO IN THIS UPDATE

• Edited routines: the targets shown in the workout editor, the active workout and Workout Complete now match, and earned weight increases are saved to your routine for next time.
• Workout history that mixes kilograms and pounds now compares correctly.
• Paywall: once your trial ends, a Share feedback button lets you tell us why you're not unlocking Flux.
• The Failure Reasons sheet no longer overlaps its Done button, and duplicate profiles left by older versions are tidied up automatically.

### 8.6.0 — 2026-09-08

Spend less time waiting and more time training. Flux 8.6.0 gives you a faster start, a fresh new look and a clearer picture of what your hard work is doing.

GET INTO YOUR WORKOUT FASTER

Open Flux, find your session and keep moving. Faster startup and more responsive Dashboard, Insights, Exercise Performance, history and calendar views make everyday training feel more fluid, even as your workout history grows.

SEE WHAT'S WORKING

Spot progress in your lifts and see how consistently you are showing up. New Strength, Health, Consistency and Velocity findings help you understand your results and the evidence behind them. Choose dates for Performance and Health, or explore workouts from your current routine in Routine. When Flux needs more data, it tells you.

MAKE EVERY SET YOURS

Give individual sets their own weight, reps and effort targets in generated strength workouts. Clearer top-set and back-off details help you follow the session you planned, while warm-up and working sets stay together for easy reading. Your chosen set count and mixed targets carry through workout preparation; eligible adaptive adjustments still apply.

KNOW WHAT TO AIM FOR NEXT

Finish with a clearer next step. See how each exercise compared with last time and get guidance on the next target, whether that means another rep, the same weight or a planned increase. Check-in reports also save Strength and Health findings on this device, so you can revisit where you were at the time.

FIND YOUR LOOK

Meet Light mode: crisp cards, deep green accents and unmistakable Flux lime. Choose from System, Light and Dark in Profile > Theme. Existing users keep Dark until they choose; new users start with System. Signed-in choices sync with your Flux account, with supported home widgets and Live Activities following where iOS permits.

AND A LITTLE MORE POLISH

Clearer set controls make it easier to see what is done and tap again to undo completion. Cleaner routine settings, Library rows and Insights cards keep the details easy to scan. Dashboard KPI and Body Comp widgets offer a focused view up to a year; All Time remains available in Insights.

There is a little Flux letter wave to welcome you during onboarding only, plus improvements to startup access checks, streak-restoration reliability and next-session feedback for older Routine Library workouts.

### 8.5.1 — 2026-08-28

Train with a bigger plan. Finish every session with confidence.

Flux 8.5.1 brings advanced strength periodization, offline-first workout saving and a clearer view of your training from start to finish.

FIVE WAYS TO BUILD YOUR TRAINING
Choose a periodization model when generating a strength routine:
• Adaptive Block — phases shaped by your goals, experience, completed training and recovery.
• Daily Undulating (DUP) — Heavy and Volume work across your strength routine, with Moderate sessions where appropriate.
• Linear — a structured six-week path from Volume through Build and Heavy work to Deload.
• Weekly Undulating (WUP) — planned waves of Volume, Moderate and Heavy training, followed by recovery.
• Manual — choose your training phase and hold it until you decide to change it, with safety recovery when needed.

Model-aware sets, reps, load, rest and effort targets bring the plan into each strength workout. Managed progression follows completed training, with safety deloads when recovery needs attention. To change models, generate a new routine. Routine Library programs keep their authored progression.

NO WI-FI? YOUR WORKOUT STILL COUNTS
Finish without waiting for a cloud connection. Your workout and final feedback are saved on your device, and completion confirms after a successful local save. Signed-in cloud backup can sync later when the app has connectivity.

A CLEARER, MORE CONNECTED DESIGN
Redesigned Routine Details brings workouts and progress into Overview, training controls into Settings, and instructions for supported saved programs into Guide. Clearer phase and cycle displays help you see where you are and what's next.

MORE INSIGHT. FEWER INTERRUPTIONS.
• See your training phase and status together across the app and widgets.
• Explore clearer planned muscle-volume views for each Routine Library phase.
• Browse further back through your exercise history.
• Enjoy more reliable Lock Screen and Dynamic Island timers, better interrupted-workout recovery and improved layouts for iPhone, iPad and larger text.
• Apple Health stays optional, with clearer permission choices.

TRY EVERYTHING. UNLOCK IT FOR LIFE.
Try every feature free for 14 days with no payment, subscription or automatic charge. After the trial, one Lifetime Unlock purchase gives permanent Full Access. Eligible existing paid owners retain permanent access.
