You have to log in every time you use it, even if you check the ‘remember me’ box. Very basic and such a let down. If this is someone’s first impression of the airline, it’s not a good one ### 1/5 — Not worth the cheap airfare *2024-04-16, version 2.17* Expect numerous delays that will push your flight to unreasonable hours. Do not expect any customer service or compensation for the inconvenience. Expect to deal with irritated staff who are clearly fed up with the delays and everything they have to deal with. Do not expect this app to function properly. Do yourself a favour and pay for a ticket on a better airline. You’re actually saving money in the long run because Bonza will screw up all your plans and you’ll likely have to fly Qantas home anyway. ### 1/5 — Bus in the sky with zero customer support *2024-04-11, version 2.17* Living regionally, I have used Bonza a lot. Recent tickets I bought, I put in my email address incorrectly so I didn’t get sent my ticket. My fault, but I contacted Bonza for over two weeks on their App, to no avail. No response. No help provided. No ticket. Secondly, when I wanted to change the dates for a reservation, I couldn’t without changing my partner’s ticket dates too, which I didn’t want to do. So essentially a passenger needs to buy a ticket separately from family members in the event that a ticket needs to be changed, which from time to time does happen. So I’ve wasted a ticket there. Bonza customer service chat says it is open from 6am AEST. This is not the case. It is never open and running at that time. Long queues means you never catch someone live, so then goes to an email enquiry- the delay is infuriating, as then you get no response and need to start the process over again, which of course, is the same- long queue, no live service operator available. So all I can say now is that Bonza is merely a bus in the sky. Don’t try to ever change or seek help outside of buying a ticket, as it doesn’t exist!!! ### 1/5 — Fly Bonza - If you can find your boarding pass or booking in time. *2024-04-09, version 2.17* This app has some serious issues. 1. There’s the log in issue where no matter how many times you press the remember me button. Or re enter your password. It wants you to log in again and again. And again. Which gets very tedious. Then theres issue 2. Where your trip will most likely not show up under “my trips”. Not sure if this is because my ticket is booked by a third party. So you then add it manually. Only for it to dissappear once the app logs you out again. Then there’s issue 3. Where once you check in. It gives you the option to add your boarding pass to your wallet. And of course. You get an error message. Which means you then find yourself in the boarding queue trying to remember your booking code and surname. Hoping the app will open so you can access your boarding pass prior to getting to the check in counter. It really makes you wonder what software engineers are actually engineering. Maybe they are all working from home. Might be time to start checking their mouse clicks per shift. 🤔 Do have cheap flights though. ### 1/5 — Avoid BONZA at all costs *2024-04-03, version 2.16* Cancelled my return flight 2 days before, saying they refund because there’s no alternative flight. This left me with no option but to pay 5 x the amount for a return flight on another airline because it’s such short notice. It would have been much cheaper if I just never bought a ticket with Bonza.. I’ll never use BONZA again. Avoid this trash airline at all costs. ### 1/5 — Very poor *2024-04-02, version 2.16* Customer service is a joke , can’t get a hold of anyone pretty useless ### 2/5 — Flight experience is great / app not so much *2024-03-27, version 2.16* I get that this is a budget airline, hence the cheap flights. But having an app that isn’t tiresome to use, can’t be that difficult, right? I mean, why can’t we see the cost for several days instead of having to go back & forth? And the chat function is a joke. I was waiting for 2.5hrs to be connected and then cut off. I don’t get it … But flying with this airline is great! The staff are wonderful! I’m very impressed ### 1/5 — Needs some serious work *2024-03-27, version 2.16* Trying to change flight and only going as far as review booking. Considering it’s the only access customers have to Bonza, an urgent fix is required. Uninstalling and reinstalling has not fixed the problem. After using this app and the appalling experience I have had over several days trying to contact anyone and then being sent in circles with no resolution, I will never use this company again. ### 2/5 — Woeful *2024-03-24, version 2.16* The app works occasionally but the backend is is sometimes non-functional, such as trying to change a booking within the proscribed parameters or change your contact details. If you want to talk to somebody, just forget it - you will likely be hanging on the messaging interface for hours without so much as a computer acknowledgement, and this might appears to the only way you can apparently get in touch. ### 1/5 — App don’t work *2024-03-24, version 2.16* It won’t let me select any dates for any flight ### 1/5 — App not very goof *2024-03-21, version 2.16* I booked flights but to see my flights on the app I have to log into my account and when I do the screen goes purple and doesn’t log me in. And that’s saying a lot. ### 1/5 — No responses from live chat and cancelled flights *2024-04-28, version 2.18* We booked tickets for a group of six to and from Melbourne and all tickets and flights got cancelled. We couldn’t even get in contact with the airline to discuss as they don’t have an email or phone number just the live chat function with the app which yields no responses at all (I tried multiple times for many hours to no avail). We filled out a refund form for our flights but it’s been 4 days and no contact or payment. Not a good app or airline based on this experience - quite disappointed. ### 1/5 — App is bad and the flights never happen *2024-04-27, version 2.17* The app logs you out every time, can’t use remember me or auto login. Several flights cancelled during peak times like long weekend and school holidays and that’s different routes as well! You pay the sale fare, book your holiday and end up flying with a competitor at an extra unforeseen expense. They are now worse than Jetstar. No refund and you’ll contact the online chat and get 0 response. ### 1/5 — Flight credits *2024-04-21, version 2.17* I only use Bonza as a last resort as they do not have flight credits if you have to cancel a flight. Qantas cares about customers that may have to cancel a flight. Happy attendants, on time: & on that note on our flight from Rockhampton to the Gold Coast , Bonza used another companies plane rather than cancel the flight. : ) ### 5/5 — Simple, Practical and Easy *2023-09-07* I’ve never understood all the negative reviews - after flying with Bonza several times, I’ve had nothing but amazing experiences. The app offers a unique but easily accessible way to book flights. On time, easy boarding and got bags quickly afterwards. If I didn’t have to log into the app every time, or it had Face ID on it, it would be a 5-star review.
