It is very inconsistent. ### 2/5 — The IOS 17.0 *2026-08-21, version 6.7.1* Just because I have not updated my iPhone, I cannot up date the app from Delta. I would need to download the IOS 17.0, but since my iPhone is an 8, it does not support the 17.0. Ugh! ### 2/5 — Poorly designed *2026-08-17, version 7.14* There are parts of this application that are very poorly designed. It can be very convenient to use. However, in an event where you are using the electronic only part of the service. Make sure that you check in well before your flight. You may receive notifications regarding your boarding. It actually doesn’t mean anything if you do not acknowledge a check in 30 minutes before flight. Your seat can and will be given up. But you will still receive notifications for boarding after you miss your flight by trying to check i. At z29 minutes cs 30. ### 2/5 — design not mobile friendly *2026-08-14, version 7.14* I love the functionality of this app. Unfortunately, in one of their “upgrades”, they took away the functionality that adapts screen size when you have your iPhones set to larger fonts. As a result, the app is basically useless now because I can’t read the left and right content. For example, flight info is cut off, so I have nothing useful at all. Delta needs to do a better job testing on iPhones with settings other than default. As a user, I have to choose between easily reading texts and emails or using my Delta app. Guess which one I chose? Do better, Delta. I’m sure this is because I bought a Basic ticket without opting for any upgrades or insurance. I was able to switch to a laptop but if you only have your phone they have you over a barrel. ### 3/5 — Broken *2026-08-09, version 7.14* The app has many functionality issues.. it crashes a lot, searches for flights say error or not available, but when you search the same flights, dates and time frames on the website, it works just fine. The interface needs a lot of work and software needs updating. The app should be most functional/efficient to use when booking flights. Face ID doesn’t work, doesn’t recognize my fight confirmation number, which I have to provide along with my first & last name - information I’ve already provided to login in! One thing I think would improve the app would be having the confirmation number in larger font or being able to tap it or something to enlarge. I often don’t see where my confirmation number is right away and I stand at the check in kiosk for too long trying to find the number to punch in. It isn’t tracking my miles, when I attempt to add flights through their forms the chat asked me to log in three times, which I did each time and then it looped me back in and told me to log in again. I’m also not able to access cardholder benefits for my flights. It works fine on their webpage. A bummer since An app should make things easier. ### 3/5 — Upcoming Trips Not Displaying in Fly Delta Widget on MacBook Pro *2026-08-04, version 7.14* After adding the Fly Delta widget to my MacBook Pro (Apple M4 Pro – Tahoe 26.6), the widget displays as blank and doesn’t load any upcoming trips. ### 4/5 — Feature desperately needed! *2026-08-03, version 7.14* The app generally works very well for me. I fly quite a bit for work, and Delta is my preferred airline. One thing that I have noticed is there is a feature desperately needed: A notification, similar to Google maps ‘quicker route’. A prompt that asks you if you want to accept the seat upgrade that’s being offered. I know it may sound silly to some, but for a person who is above average height, or claustrophobic, an aisle seat is the only option. Because upgrades are given automatically, based on status, I am frequently upgraded to a seat next to a window, which never works. Then I have to haggle with the gate agent to get a different seat in the aisle, if it’s even available. Alternatively, when we set up our profile and say that our preference is ‘aisle’, make that a parameter that prevents upgrades to non-aisle seats. I tried 2 different browsers , I tried the same method in an android phone and the same issue. ### 2/5 — Convenient but needs to be fixed *2026-08-03, version 7.14* The app lets you do quite lot but one thing that I feel is a miss is that when you request for upgrade and enter your preference of isle, middle, or window. I often get the option that I didn’t request. App problem? policy problem? Doesn’t matter, just fix it Delta. No one in economy with a window or aisle seats considers a middle seat in comfort zone an upgrade. I end up waisting an hour going through the IVR, waiting on hold, and then having to have the representative book looking the flight, take my credit card, and book the same flight that is blocked on the checkout EVERY TIME I USE E-CREDITS. ### 1/5 — Very Disappointing experience for a loyal Delta customer *2026-08-10, version 7.14* When an unexpected travel disruption occurred (on July 29 2026 at YUL -TPA flight) I expected Delta to make reasonable effort to support its customers, but instead i was left to purchase 2 Air Canada tickets at my own expenses ($1200). I also could not retrieve my checked bag wt Delta after working 3-4 hours with 3 Delta personnel they failed to help so i could properly transfer to Air Canada, which resulted in my bag going missing. I spent 2 days making repeated phone call and dealing with the stress of not having my medicines and belongings before receiving it Loyalty should mean more than earning miles, it should also mean receiving support when customers entrust Delta to take them to the destination even when things go wrong. I expected better from Delta.
