### 1/5 — Huge disappointment for major expense

Like another reviewer I bought the Flybrix core kit for my son's birthday. The kit is great, the potential is huge. But I opted to use the app instead of buying the physical controller and module. The controls are terribly buggy. The core module either won't sync with the app, the app won't recognize it's synced, or it will just freeze up entirely. The app overlaps the edges too far to be usable. It doesn't remove the clock row and doesn't recognize touches that overlap that row. My son has had the kit for two months and only played with it for about 30 minutes total because the app is so terrible. We'll probably have to buy the controller now, which I obviously should have done in the first place to get the bundle price. Now it's an additional cost because the promised app is quite literally useless. This set has been an expensive mistake.

This thing simply doesn't fly. The app is not native and the responsiveness of the commands can be felt throughout. The only model that flies is the quad but good luck keeping it in flight for more than 3 seconds as it is the least stable aircraft I have ever flown.

When I open the Flybrix app, I only get a white screen. I even tried having it open all day and I STILL got a white screen the whole time! Can one of the devs let me know why this is happening? I am infuriated by the fact that the screen is always just WHITE the WHOLE TIME!

I hope someone from Flybrix can help. The app here says it works on iOS 9 but my iPad 2Mini just has a white screen when I open the Flybrix app. Is there any troubleshooting FAQ?

I spent an hour getting the firmware updated, had fun assembling my drone, and then was foiled by the "drone configuration" screen in the app. No matter what I do it is stuck on the quad rotor.  I want to try the octocopter out! Please update.

Bought for my son for Christmas. Used my phone for a controller. It won't synch, saying I need to update the firmware for the device. This is a very tedious and poorly described process that involves downloading an application to your computer, linking the flight board to your computer, and updating the board. After several tries, with the latest version confirmed onboard, the app still says we need to update the firmware. 
I'm sure it would be fun if it actually worked. Quite a disappointment.

This app is a colossal failure so I have an overly expensive Lego set and a thoroughly disappointed son. We were looking for a STEM exercise, and instead we fell for a marketing scam. If only I could turn back time and never buy the flyBrick.
