It gives me GTA vibes and when you learn to get the controls down it actually does get fun. Here is where I have issues: There are way too many ads on many of the control features. Certain power moves, getting in/out of vehicles, or just pausing the game triggers ads and I can definitely see how that gets annoying. Secondly, there is no real mission objective other than to collect coins, steal / blow up cars. You get reward money with money that can’t really be used on anything because there nothing to upgrade besides the different characters that resemble Spider Man, Venom and Deadpool. I totally understand and support ad revenue but this is absurd. The graphics are weak and the character movements are slow and poorly synced. Right out of the gate it was fun, I enjoyed the style and thought it was retro, that quickly faded when the second ad hit after seventy seconds logged into the app then by the third ad at 190 seconds logged into the app it became clear this game was not developed for users to have fun and enjoy, it is purely a cash grab. So as I stated don’t waste your time. When you face a bombardment of ads you can suddenly gain a deeper understanding of late stage capitalism and post Industrial Revolution societies. Finally, the stunning graphics/ open world demonstrate the ability for indie developers to gain experience and create amazing games using cheap resources thanks to developments in computing. So when you find yourself hating this game just consider how much effort was put into this shameless cash grab.
