Flyover turns Apple Maps Flyover into a fast city-guessing game. You are dropped over a real city in live 3D. Read the skyline, the coastline, the street grid, the bridges — then drop your pin on the world map. The closer you land, the higher you score. A flight is five, seven or ten cities, and every flight finishes. After each one you learn the tell: the single detail that gives that city away from the air. Islands and dense towers. A lagoon. A bay and a bridge. Learn enough tells and you start recognising cities you have never visited. 151 cities across six continents, twelve themed routes from short hops to long hauls, daily flights, streaks, combo scoring, a passport of every city you have stamped, and Game Center leaderboards. The Daily Flight used to be seeded per player, so two people comparing scores were comparing different cities. Now it's one shared flight a day — your score means something next to anyone else's. And you can share it. Finish a flight and you get a short result you can paste into any chat: a row of coloured squares, one per city, showing how close you landed, plus your score and grade. It never names the cities, so sending it doesn't spoil the flight for whoever you send it to. New: a second approach. Miss a city and you can watch a short sponsor break to re-drop that one city. Once per city, never on a pinpoint, and never on the Daily Flight — a shared flight where some players bought extra attempts is not a comparable score. Cities are actually 3D now. The camera was being applied before Apple's Flyover scene finished loading, so a 70-degree pitch arrived as 30 and every city rendered as a flat satellite photo. Fixed — you now fly a real oblique view, and reading a skyline finally works the way it was meant to. A new departure board. The main menu is an airport board: every route is a service with its own flight number, gate and status, the characters flip like real split-flaps, and you board a flight rather than press play. Twelve routes, from short hops to long hauls. Europe Express, Pacific Rim, Desert Air and Long Haul join the board, with flights of five, seven and ten cities. New audio throughout. A layered terminal, flight and arrival score that shifts with where you are, plus cabin chimes in place of the old beeps. Fairer scoring. Landing on the right continent or the right coast now pays out properly instead of returning single digits, so partial knowledge counts for something. Every reveal teaches you the one detail that gives a city away from the air. One sponsor break per flight, never in your first.
