### 3/5 — Stopped loading

*2023-01-21*

What gives?

### 3/5 — Stopped responding

*2022-11-17*

I use this app more than I use my FlyQ EFB. Everytime I get in my plane I pull up the baro pressure. Lately when I touch the icon it flashes on for a millisecond and then disappears. I downloaded it and it will work for a few times and then the same behavior happens rendering it unusable. I’m using IOS 16.1.1

### 4/5 — Needs updates

*2022-08-07*

Any updates coming?

### 3/5 — Slick but not current for Canada

*2017-11-28, version 4.0.2*

Pretty slick app that I can imagine using but it will remain in imagination for the most part. I downloaded current database and checked my local field, CYKF. Tower frequency is wrong. VOR was retired a year or two ago. Nearby Stratford airport was renamed from CNM4 to CYSA a couple of years ago.

Also I don’t know what subscription might be required but I’m already paying for charts on my iPad and my panel so I’m not interested in a third subscription.

### 2/5 — Fun but not accurate

*2017-08-25, version 4.0.1*

Airport frequencies and runway numbers are wrong. E.g. CYSC Runway is not 14/32 but 13/31. Com is not FSS 122.4 but Unicom 123.5.

Therefore, not reliable at all for navigation.

### 3/5 — Okay

*2016-12-04, version 2.2*

Works okay, but not sure how useful it is. Doesn't seem to have a moving map, which I think people would want. A moving map like the Forelight or Garmin iPhone app would be nice.

### 3/5 — Great App But Needs Work

*2016-01-13*

I wrote a review previously and am back to update my thoughts on this app. It’s a great app on its face. Very easy to use because all of its menus and options are intuitively accessed. However, I dropped using this app for a competitor a few months ago because I lost confidence in it. The TFR feature did not work consistently. I almost got snookered a couple of times because of TFRs that were in place over the Phoenix metropolitan area that didn’t show up on the app. (And unlike other apps, it wouldn’t show planned TFRs ahead of them becoming active.) Ultimately, it led me to wonder what else doesn’t consistently work with this app?

### 5/5 — Great app

*2015-11-25*

I've been using the FlyQ iPhone app as my first go-to for airport and weather information. A quick and easy check gives me preliminary flight planning information and enough to continue planning or just to no go today.
My wife uses FlyQ EFB on her iPad along with a wireless ADS-B in device for flight planning and enroute navigation/traffic/weather. We are looking forward to using Chart Data in the newly upgraded panel with dual Aspen devices on our C182K.
Thanks, Steve P and all the gang at Seattle Avionics for these great products.

### 3/5 — Ok app but you need Aopa membership and dtc duat is history

*2015-10-12, version 2.1*

They should say you need AOPA membership and the app lost a lot of functionality when DTC duat ended service. They need to update it to access CSC Duats.

### 5/5 — Fly Q Review

*2015-07-20, version 2.1*

Great app. Seattle avionics is awesome as far as keeping it on the cutting edge. FYI, one reviewer said that you myst have an AOPA membership to use. Not true. And the guy stuck in the password loop, put in the correct password. DUH! It's a 5 star app!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Buyer Beware.. Dishonest Ethics

*2024-08-04*

Seattle Avionics sold out to corporate money grabbing companies. They do not honor the original lifetime memberships people have purchased… stay away from this company.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work sense last update to operating system

*2023-12-17*

Will it be updated?

### 1/5 — Update required

*2023-01-05*

After app has been downloaded app will not reopen once it has been closed. To use this app don’t close it after downloading.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work sense last update to operating system

*2022-11-28, version 4.0.2*

Will it be updated?

### 1/5 — I agree with Fleagle

*2020-08-16, version 4.0.2*

It’s stupid that it doesn’t make it clear at the outset that it only works in the USA. It’s a waste of time.

### 1/5 — Shouldnt be on UK app store

*2019-02-11, version 4.0.2*

No uk data supported in this app. Not sure why its available in the uk app store. Pointless.

### 1/5 — Junk

*2017-10-27*

Does not work at all. Don’t waste your time.

### 1/5 — Where's my FlyQ Pocket?

*2017-07-28, version 4.0*

I guess Seattle Avionics decided that I didn't need FlyQ anymore? I'm sure that this ap may be fine in flight, but I have used a FlyQ pocket for years for last minute weather checks, airport lookup, services, etc. How do you just cancel an ap and switch it to something else? I'm switching to ForeFlight

### 1/5 — Useless

*2016-01-29, version 2.2*

I was a big fan, but of late I have had endless difficulty with repeated crashes. Flight plans are impossible to input, and differ from the iPad version when pulled up on another unit. Great as an airport directory, and that's about it.

### 1/5 — No more dusts

*2015-09-16, version 2.1*

Duats lost their affiliation with the faa. This app has not upgraded to Duats replacement...Lockheed Martin for terminal services. Until this app updates it is only partially functioning and therefore unreliable for me.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The simplest

*2019-09-17*

I use several apps and they all basically do the same thing. But, for quick info like weather and phone number for ASOS, nothing beats the simplicity of this app. That’s why I keep using it.

### 5/5 — Best free app for G.A. Pilots

*2019-02-17*

Super easy and fast to learn. Great emergency back up. Literally just point and click and all the info is there. Big bonus is it keeps a pilots eyes looking outside in a heads up position.

### 5/5 — FlyQ

*2017-12-20*

Amazing I have used Foreflight and FlyQ. The instrument package with plate overlying the map or on split screen improve situational awareness. The Merlin ADS-B integration is so good I won't fly without now

### 5/5 — Wow. Amazing.

*2017-10-17*

The augmented reality in this app is amazing. Every pilot should have this app. It makes finding airports super easy. Make sure that you watch the introductory video as it explains calibrating and all of the features.

### 5/5 — Get this app!

*2017-09-23*

I found this app to be extremely useful when flying to a new airport I haven't previously been to. Not to mention, finding airports at night amid clusters of civilization is a breeze with InSight. As long as you recalibrate periodically, InSight truly will provide augmented reality to find your destination.

Hint: install on your phone, NOT your iPad. The phone is far easier to manipulate in the cockpit.

### 5/5 — FlyQ Insight

*2017-08-08, version 4.0*

I really enjoy this app. Basically it is the old FlyQ but with the upgrade of using your camera to see where the airports are. Click on the airport in the camera view and it brings up the airport info.

The only thing I wish it offered was sectionals so I could have a reliable backup for my FlyQ EFB on my iPad.

### 5/5 — User friendly

*2017-07-31, version 3.0*

I have used Flyq combined with the Dual 190 GPS for a year. In my Cessna 172 I added a yoke mount for my mini IPad. It gives all the features of a state of the art instrument panel at a small fraction of the cost. This is a very user friendly app that is a must have for the general aviation community.

### 5/5 — Works great!

*2016-12-15, version 2.2*

Very handy, great UI, actually switched from ForeFlight.

### 5/5 — My aviation app of choice

*2015-12-27, version 2.2*

Great interface.
Super fast customer service.
The company really listens. Several features that I have requested have shown up in updates over time.

### 5/5 — Great product and support

*2015-12-08, version 2.1*

Great app, always in the flight bag! The few times an issue has come up, the support has always been fast and helpful.
