### 2/5 — Not mobile or user friendly

*2026-08-30*

I’m honestly disappointed with the app. I genuinely believe the program itself has the potential to be great, but unfortunately, the app’s current infrastructure takes away from the overall experience.

The platform does not feel properly built or user-friendly, especially when accessing it from a mobile device. Several of the features that are supposed to make the program more efficient and up-to-date simply do not work as intended. The beta photo feature does not work properly, and even basic tasks such as logging information and tracking progress are unnecessarily difficult.

At this point, I believe the app needs more than minor updates or fixes—it needs to be completely reworked and rebuilt with the user experience in mind.

While I still see value and potential in the program itself, the functionality of the app is frustrating enough that it genuinely makes me question whether I want to continue participating. A good program should have a platform that supports and enhances the experience, not one that becomes an obstacle to it.

### 1/5 — App won’t work

*2026-02-20, version 15.0.1*

The app keeps shutting down on me every time
I open it.

### 1/5 — Garbage criminals

*2026-02-17, version 15.0.1*

IT IS DISGUSTING HOW BADLY THIS SCUM TREATS ITS PATIENTS. This is literal criminal level abuse against medical victims. Vile, evil, cruel, disgusting.

### 1/5 — Can’t load

*2026-02-15, version 15.0.1*

I have been using this app because I have to. It’s been just ok. The food logging, which I have to use at least once a month, is bad! I hate it!! Now, I’ve been trying to log on, and I get the face recognition, and then it just disappears. I can’t log on at all!

### 1/5 — App keeps crashing

*2026-02-05, version 15.0.1*

I don’t know what’s going on with this app because it keeps crashing every time I try to open it

### 2/5 — Glitchy as all get out

*2026-02-04, version 15.0.1*

The app needs an overhaul. Can’t create recipes. Had to buy a different tracking app. Sometimes it won’t even open… just uses Face ID and then disappears and closes.

### 1/5 — Worst app I’ve ever used

*2026-02-03*

Update with the new update as of a week ago. Integration with HealthKit no longer works so it no longer syncs my data to the app to track my progress & all data has to be entered manually now. The setting for syncing with Apple Heath has either been removed or moved and I haven’t found it yet.

This app is so buggy and poorly built it’s almost unusable. I’m using a 15 pro max and the app is running slower than if I opened Waze on my old SE from 2016. Everything takes forever to load if it loads at all. Deleted the app & reinstalled it multiple times, restarted phone multiple times. It’s easier to just use the website. For a service that you have to pay good money for they don’t even think about making the app usable.

### 1/5 — Lots of bugs

*2026-01-31, version 15.0.1*

The app works less than half the time. Lots of bug. Today I shuts down as soon as I open it.

### 2/5 — Buggy

*2026-01-29, version 15.0.1*

I haven’t been able to open the app for a few days. There was an update, so unsure if that’s the issue

### 1/5 — App crashed

*2026-01-29, version 15.0.1*

After last update this app won’t open. It’s really useless

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2026-01-26, version 15.0.1*

First it crashes then won’t load then it won’t sync with Health app anymore and is absolutely useless. Version 11 still works on my iPad but I can’t find it to load on my phone. I don’t know what they did with this version but it’s terrible.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2026-01-26, version 15.0.1*

This app sucks! I’ve been on the Flyte program for 2 years and this app has not improved or evolved at all. I wish I didn’t have to use it to maintain compliance with the program. Do better.

### 1/5 — Not easy to use

*2026-01-26, version 15.0.1*

I have to use this app for my insurance company, but for the past week, I’ve not been able to log into it to enter my food diary. And the food diary is poorly designed. Noom is much better.

### 1/5 — Absolutely sucks.

*2026-01-24, version 15.0.1*

This app crashes, takes two times to
Open, and the food logging is horrible. It requires 3 to 4 steps to do what should be 1. Not intuitive at all. They can learn from my fitness pal or others that have been around a while. 🗑️

### 1/5 — Wildly inaccurate database

*2025-11-30, version 12.3*

How did they manage to get even packaged products so wrong? The nutritional info is incredibly inaccurate. And the app itself is useless.

### 1/5 — Constant crashing

*2025-10-06*

I’ve been trying to schedule an appointment for hours now, I just the loading screen, then it crashes back up my phone Home Screen, and since this is the only way to schedule, I guess I’m just expected to waste time trying over and over, because my heath insurance requires this. Extremely frustrating

### 1/5 — Needs Much Improvement

*2025-09-23, version 12.2*

As others have noted, the app frequently crashes and has poor communication with Apple Health. None of your activity will sync to it so you’ll have to log it manually and none of the blood pressure cuff or scale data syncs back out to Apple Health. I typically have to open the app twice just to get it to work.

### 1/5 — Joke of an app

*2025-09-09*

It’s like they farmed out development of the app to the worst devs they could find, and made sure every feature was as bad as possible. They don’t write to Apple Health, so none of the data in Flyte gets added. The included scale only talks to the Flyte app, so your weight doesn’t get recorded in Apple Health, and thereby can’t be read by any other app. The app crashes constantly. It requires force closing and opening again every time the app is opened. The calorie tracker has the wrong/missing units. You can’t edit the dashboard/homepage. It’s filled with junk tiles and stupid platitudes. Finished “tasks” don’t get removed from the home screen. None of this will come as a surprise to anyone who has interacted with the people at Flyte. They’re disorganized, poorly managed and the entire program is a complete scam.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Awful App, Awful Gatekeeping Program

*2026-08-26*

Months and months for follow up. No integration of the app with Athena, which they use for everything that actually matters. This operates like something a high school kid experimenting with Claude would make for his first app. This company exists to save insurers and employers money, not to help with weightloss. You are better off getting your PCP to prescribe GLP-1 to a local compounding pharmacy. Otherwise, you’ll just be prescribed a range of seizure and other meds with off-label use from side effects like weightloss.

### 1/5 — ugh

*2026-06-20, version 15.1.2*

worst app ever

### 1/5 — Hate

*2026-06-19, version 15.1.2*

I hate this app. It’s time-consuming, it does not keep correct macros. I’ll get an email that tells me there’s something I have to do in the app and there is nothing in the app.

### 1/5 — Awful App, Awful Program

*2026-06-17, version 15.1.2*

Months and months for follow up. No integration of the app with Athena, which they use for everything that actually matters. This operates like something a high school kid experimenting with Claude would make for his first app.

### 1/5 — Not reliable

*2026-03-23, version 15.1.0*

Continue to have issues logging in food, workouts etc

### 1/5 — Garbage app

*2026-03-17*

I’ve spoken to the staff about this app. They say they’re working on it. I would think that I could realistically expect their app to work properly before they ever launched the health program. Their website is absolutely horrible. I can never get to any of my patient data on that website. And what is with turning the iPad version of the app into a long skinny Apple phone appearance? For those of us who have vision challenges, that approach does not work. I can say almost nothing good about FlyteHealth, other than the APRN is great and that the registered dietitian is great. Everything otherwise is bottom of the barrel.

### 1/5 — the app never works

*2026-03-17, version 15.1.0*

i have uninstalled and reinstalled several times and this app is garbage. it’s 2026 and a simple health app can’t function. I wish i wasn’t required to use this by my health provider to be able to get my glp-1!!!!

### 1/5 — Never works right

*2026-03-16*

I am forced to use this system by my health insurance company. You would think I was the first patient to ever use it considering how it works and doesn’t work.
Links you are told to use don’t work.
About the only good thing I had found it does is allow you to scan a barcode to enter you meal log.

### 1/5 — App crashing

*2026-03-07, version 15.0.1*

App continues to keep crashing. Am finally trying to delete app and all its data yo start over again. If this app is needed for us to be able to get the help needed to get healthy and out weight under control atleast read the comments to see that we need help with it and it’s not working.

### 1/5 — Keeps Crashing - Completely Unusable for Months

*2026-03-03*

The app either freezes without ability to login or you get logged in but then the app crashes. Have not been able to enter anything manually since early January. Have tried deleting the app and reinstalling. That worked once, but not since. Am required to make entries in the app to control the price of program participation; however, program is nearly impossible to contact in or outside the app.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great Service

*2026-05-12, version 15.1.0*

I love my care team.. I'm down 35 lbs

### 5/5 — Love this program!

*2025-07-28*

I’m so grateful my insurance covers the full program and I can keep track of my weight goals in one place.

### 5/5 — Important and Insightful Part of My Medical Care

*2023-08-09*

For me, obesity (yes I said it) is a generational, almost intractable medical condition. Finally, with Intellihealth and the Evolve app, I have hope. This makes it easy to track my daily weights (with the notifications to keep me honest) and to find inspiration to cook / prepare new and healthy meals. The tone is supportive but one that also seems to know my secret thoughts and miss-steps (in order to re-focus my thinking). Has been extremely helpful for me!

### 5/5 — Nurtures / Encourages But Doesn’t Nag

*2023-01-26, version 3.0*

I have been using this and prior versions for at least 4 years. This version is truly beautiful visually AND useful, IMO. I weigh myself every day and this makes it easy to log and track my weight. I used to despise doing that (true confessions) but I do it almost every day now without grousing. When I go off the rails food-wise I can look at trends easily to help me sort out what might be going on. The photos of easy-to-make recipes have actually motivated me to eat more diverse foods and to try new recipes. I am eating a healthy lentil soup as I write this. The Daily (timed) medication reminders are very helpful—especially when my schedule goes haywire due to travel or unanticipated projects. They are also quite helpful for Once Weekly medications which are easy to forget. Additionally, I need to exercise more (sigh) and the tracker makes it easy to log my activity. It learns from my entries (mulching, snorkeling, etc.) which makes it that much easier. The tone and feedback is always empathetic and helpful—not judgmental. Lastly—being able to message my doctors, NPs, and nutritionists from the app is just awesome. What can I say? Weight management is a lifelong struggle for many of us—I feel like I finally found a weight management app I can love. Really.

### 5/5 — Connected devices support is great

*2022-12-22*

I like how easy the connected devices work. I step on the scale and I don’t even have to open the app to log my weight. My doctor can easily see my progress, and more importantly know when im plateauing, to provide the best treatment and guidance. I love my Flyte doctor!

### 4/5 — Big improvement

*2026-01-25*

This app has been the bane of my existence, I’ve especially hated the calorie tracker. BUT the latest update is a big improvement. Still not as good as others I’ve used, but getting there. Thank you

### 3/5 — Crashes daily

*2025-06-10, version 11.0.1*

Initially I didn’t have any issues. Now it crashes daily, I have to repeatedly shut my phone down, and I’ve had to delete the app a number of times and reinstall.

### 3/5 — Some good, many flaws

*2024-09-24, version 9.0.1*

I have used MyFitnessPal for many years and find this app cumbersome and lacking in capabilities.
1. I need to log in every time I use the app, which I find cumbersome.
2. The database of foods s extremely limited
3. It needs to give you the ability to input a recipe

I do like the fact that my weight is linked automatically and I like the weekly teaching feature.

### 3/5 — Easy to Use, But Should be Better

*2024-03-05*

First the negatives: does not connect to Apple Fitness/Exercises, as well as does not open the first time…keep needing to quickly close than re-open.

The positives: fairly easy to use, and information is good. If they fix the two problems above would be perfect.

### 3/5 — Editing??

*2024-01-26*

I’ve only been using this app for a few days on the advice from my doctor and I can already see flaws. I have marked things wrong and I can’t go back and change it.. like I inverted my weight and now it looks like I’ve lost more than I have. I put food in the wrong meal category and added one item too many items because I wasn’t looking close enough. It really needs to give the user the ability to make edits and if this is an available feature it needs to be much more obvious because I cannot figure it out. along with the other reviews while it can connect to apple for heart rate I really wish it would connect to the workouts I’m doing. I feel like this could be better.
