It’s the only bank app I have that doesn’t work on my older device. You can still use on web browser on the same device. When I was 10 years old in 1946 my parents took me to an imposing building and introduced me to a teller - seated behind a high barrier. But he smiled when I asked for a Bank Book as I'd been prompted to do. I told him that wanted to deposit my earnings from shoveling snow - just over $10.00. He replied that it represented a lot of work but it was a lot of money starting in the bank book ! Now I've learned to use my cell phone or Ipad to track the flow of money in and out of accounts. Th software is remarkably intuitive and helpful but when I get stuck the Help Desk teams at The First are, well, "First Rate"! I have been a customer over a decade and am very pleased with your care for an ancient customer like me. I wish for Happy Holidays to all of you. Phil in Cushing Oops! Just a sec. Now April. Now I have a problem. I cannot open my accounts which first REQUEST ME TO UPDATE MY App. I have a Apple IPad and IPhone 7 Neither have the required IOS and stop just a few numbers short. What to do ? I am 88 and have no intentions of buying newer ones. How can I continue to bank with you online? Suggestions welcome. Thanks. There have been many instances where it says I have way more money in my account than I actually do. So I go to spend some money and the account turns up negative but the transaction went through. I made a purchase the other day that went through on my card but when I checked the app it said I was negative. Why don’t you test things before you release them? I cannot log out — that’s a big flaw which you need to fix. On the convenience side your app doesn’t give the option to remember my user name — that’s a simple, common courtesy that every other banking/credit card app offers. Frankly, this app with the "First Maine" logo is not very good. In addition I have one account just for internet use so if someone pays me via Venmo I can transfer it there and no other accounts are accessible so I feel as though all the other accounts are safe.
